Denny's is what it is: food you could probably make for yourself a lot cheaper. However, when you don't feel like doing it yourself or breaking the bank to eat, this clean little diner is a great option. I've seen a few Denny's in my life (some of them at 2 AM, others during daylight hours). The Laveen location is honestly the best one I've personally experienced. They have a few things going for them: they're modern (no cracking booths or old color schemes), they're clean (there's literally always someone sweeping or mopping), and they're nice. For all these reasons they get four stars from me. To be fair to back of house, the food at this location is always consistently good. The fries are always hot, they honor my requests for modifications, and it always comes out fast. At the end of the day, it's still just diner food. And that's okay. They do it well. read more

Stopped in and ordered the seasonal Pumpkin Pecan Grand Slam, and it was better than I could have hoped. I'm not big on pumpkin spice season but been open to trying to more lately. The pecans were crunchy, the glaze added a sweet touch, and the whole dish stood out. Bacon was spot-on and the eggs with cheese were cooked perfectly, just the right balance of savory and salty. Only small letdown was the hash browns, which were tasty but a little undercooked. The highlight beyond the food was the service.server was amazing, attentive, and made the visit pleasant. I never post reviews; however, I walked into Dennys the other day for my occasional stack of pancakes. Usually when I go to Dennys, I get your average "I want to get through my shift" type of service. It always seems like the employees are required to be there and they don't have fun while working. However, I walked into Dennys and I got the most cheerful greeting from Alexis. (I think that was her name) Her energy and excitement spread to the other employees and customers. She kindly helped me to a table and made sure we were doing okay when our server wasn't available. When we were checking out, Alexis was very flexible with my payment option. Very rude customer service! We ordered a big breakfast for our family one of the orders had turkey bacon and they still have pork bacon ! When we addressed it with the staff Sophie was kind and said she will have it remade when my husband went back up there they said they was out of turkey bacon and it's an upcharge for chicken !!! Now when you get a grand slam they put everything in one container instead of separating it! So the whole meal wasn't able to be eaten !! The manager Jackie said just eat it anyways ! And refuse to substitute the pork for chicken ! We called before he went back up there and was told they would ! Jackie was very very rude she shouldn't be the manager! My potato's were burnt as well ! They were supposed to replace those but her bad customer service made us not want anything! Hank was AMAZING from the moment we called to ask about their "kids eat free" promo. As soon as we walked in he made sure to take care of all 6 of us. He checked on us constantly and all of our food came out nice and hot at the same time. Everyone was happy and over all it was a great atmosphere. Hi this is going to be just a huge complaint. So we got seated by the restrooms the tables on the side of the kitchen. Already know that our service is going to be minimal due to it being so far from the rest of the restaurant. We wait 10-15 minutes for our server to take our order. The menu shows a soup of the day and of course one of our party orders that and without hesitation they don't have it.... order in. Wait 40 minutes and our food finally comes hash browns burnt, waffles feel almost like rubber, eggs are cold. I request new hashbrowns and they come out and they aren't even cooked. Our server came four times the entire time: once to take our order, once to tell us our food is coming and bring a drink they forgot 30 minutes prior, once to deliver the food, once for me to complain about hash browns. I had to go up to the hostess desk to get my receipt so I could pay and leave. One of the worse experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. read more

Loving this new Dennys in Laveen. Brand new, clean and modern, ample parking. Food was good, love the ability to have breakfast in the middle of the day is a plus. I love breakfast and their pancakes were great! Had a chocolate shake to start off with which was delicious but they forgot to bring the tin with the xtra shake left, it's a pretty small size glass so hopefully next time they bring it. We went here on a Tuesday around 9am and it was busier than I expected! This was my first time here. It was huge inside. We were immediately seated but no one came to bring menus or drinks for almost 20 minutes. It seemed like there was miscommunication with the greeter who seated us and the server. I stayed because I had already dragged my kids out of the house and we were all really hungry. After we got our menus and drinks, things were mostly smooth sailing. I was using a birthday reward and the waitress seemed unfamiliar with it so she called management for assistance. It was a quick and easy process. I got the birthday slam with French toast, coffee, a chocolate chip pancake meal (pancakes with a side of grapes) for my son, and a jr grand slam for my daughter that had pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. I also got them an apple juice and mango smoothie. The food came out quickly and was still hot. Everything tasted great, no complaints there.
