I wanted to share my experience from my visit last night. My family and I originally came in specifically for the turkey legs since we had heard great things about them, and my mom had even traveled from California and was excited to try them. Unfortunately, they were sold out when we arrived. The staff was kind enough to offer a discount due to the inconvenience, which I appreciated. We decided to order the shrimp pasta with crab meat instead (two orders totaling $48). The food itself was enjoyable, but the wait time was a little longer than expected -- it took almost an hour for our order to come out, especially considering the restaurant is open until midnight. I understand that things happen and certain items sell out, but I do hope the restaurant can work on communication around popular items and improving wait times. My husband and uncle visited Brunch House for the first time recently to give it a try, but unfortunately, their experience was very disappointing from beginning to end. After being seated and placing their order, they noticed right away that the restaurant appeared to be short-staffed. The waitress did not come to the table very often, which made the service feel slow and inattentive. Another major issue was the temperature inside the restaurant. It was extremely warm, and it felt as though the air conditioning was not working properly at all. Customers were fanning themselves because of how hot it was. If the air conditioning was not functioning, we feel customers should have been notified before being seated, perhaps with a sign on the door or some other communication. At the very least, the restaurant should have had fans or another way to help keep customers comfortable. Unfortunately, the food was also a major disappointment. They ordered the catfish and grits, a dish they have enjoyed at other establishments, so they were looking forward to trying Brunch House's version. However, the catfish and grits were not good at all. The seasoning was not enjoyable, and overall, the dish lacked the flavor and quality they expected. Between the poor service, the uncomfortable temperature, and the disappointing food, this unfortunately felt like a very rough day for the restaurant. We understand that restaurants can experience unexpected staffing or equipment issues, but when the conditions are affecting the overall customer experience--especially something as significant as the air conditioning--we believe customers should be informed and the restaurant should consider whether it is appropriate to remain open under those circumstances. The bloody Mary drink was not good at all. Did not have any celery, olives or anything that should be included in a bloody Mary only gave a lemon and the bloody Mary was horrible. Good brunch place with a bit of a fusion of Mexican and soul food. I had a breakfast scramble which was a bit like chilaquiles with scrambled egg, sausage, and potatoes all mixed in a skillet. Very good and hearty. I couldn't finish and took about 1/3 home to finish the next morning. My daughter had the full chilaquiles and loved it as well. DJ playing on a Saturday morning a little loud for my taste. Someone coming to the table trying to sell taking photos seemed a little out of place and time on a Saturday morning. Me and fraternity brothers decided to check out brunch house for a turned up brunch while in Phoenix. We had a reservation since it was a Saturday. They had a DJ that was playing some good music. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was fire! So good with the hot honey sauce. I like they have a bottle option for the mimosa so we each got our own bottle. I'm not sure if it was just on the day I went or if it's the norm, but this was definitely a younger crowd. Me and my wife were seated as soon as we walked in. They had a DJ and then also there was karaoke going on as well. The food looked really good, even though we did not order any, we just came for the vibes and drinks. Too many kids walking around in this type of environment for my liking, literally saw someone twerking and then brought in the car seat immediately after with the baby...I can't make this up! Lol. Brunched 8.16.25: First timer. Brought my friends from out of state here. They had the Oxtail & grits and loved every bite! Not sure what my breakfast special was called but it came with fried catfish (that looked like chicken strips) not sure if it was really catfish w/ all the breading but it was tasty. My plate also came with eggs, home potatoes (which I got toast instead) and 2wedges of French toast which I took home due to all the carbs. Food was good & although the place was busy, we were seated quickly w/ our reservation (be sure to make one). Place was spacious, had tvs, live DJ who played good music. 2 things that were "eh" for me was the tiny cup they gave me when I asked for hot sauce vs a bottle & the karaoke on wknds UGH....I could do w/o. So disappointed. Came in for valentines brunch with my son and boyfriend & we're sat fairly quickly (granted it wasn't that packed) and I was really looking forward to it!! Menu looked delicious and I was ready for the grits and mimosa flight. Sadly... we sat there for 30 minutes without a single person coming to acknowledge us or even bring waters. Tables immediately next to us on both sides had wait staff at them, but we did not. Another table of two that was sat significantly after us had waters and their orders taken immediately. Decided to use the restroom to give them a bit more time to get it together, and still nothing. The women's bathroom was also completely out of toilet paper and paper towels at 11am. Spectacular experience! I came in after a work out at the gym and ordered my traditional breakfast that I get everywhere. Over easy eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes. It's such a simple dish but it's my go-to and these guys knocked it out of the park! The potatoes were crispy and perfect, the bacon was juicy and crispy, toast and eggs were perfection. Decided to come in during the week for a new breakfast spot to try. We ended up sharing the brunch house special- jerked lamb chops, fried lobster tail, collard greens and a red velvet waffle. Food was good and fresh. The collard greens however I would not try again. I'm not sure what it was about them. Everything else was on point. Service was good. Came here on a Monday around 12 noon. The restaurant was super empty. Only about 4 parties there. Our server was the only one working the restaurant but with limited guest she was moving quickly. While we were eating one of the owners, Donald, came out to check on us. The restaurant has plenty of booths, a bar and some table tops. I saw a DJ set up, I'm assuming for their weekend brunch. No DJ on the day we went but the playlist was a whole vibe. I ordered the oxtail and grits with the peach cobbler drink. My grand mother and her sister decided to try out the brunch house. She stated that the service wasn't great. It took 45 minutes to get their food, which was over cooked and cold. The server disregarded their concerns. And to top off, we see the receipt and she called them table 3 old ladies. Took all our orders and said "it must've not gone through" and had us sitting there for 1 hour before telling us, then was too scared to come back to the table. There's no A/C and it's 109 degrees outside, and our drinks took 45 min. We were in the area on a weekday morning and decided to stop by, since we had always wanted to try out Brunch House. Upon arriving, we were met at the door by the hostess/server, who allowed us to seat ourselves. Our server was very friendly. I told her that I was torn between a couple of their options for grits. She was happy to discuss the menu, had good knowledge, and even made recommendations. Ultimately, we decided to go with the Fried Salmon and Grits, along with the Pancake Tacos. My Salmon and Grits were very delicious. My grits were hot and had the perfect texture. My Salmon bites were good quality cuts, seasoned well and perfectly fried. The portion was just the right size for someone like myself who appreciates being satiated, without the feeling of having overeaten. The Pancake Tacos tasted as you would expect. A nice fluffy, folded buttermilk pancake, with an egg fried over hard, a strip of savory bacon and maple syrup to drizzle on top. It was a great combination of sweet & savory flavors. I enjoyed my Salmon & Grits so much that I asked to speak with the Chef, so I could personally share my feedback and gratitude, to which he graciously accepted. Our server checked on us often and stayed on top of our coffee and water refills. Our first experience at Brunch House was a good one. Delicious food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. read more

My French toast tasted like it had been sitting out and was room temperature. My friend got a breakfast plate that was overpriced for having cold potatoes, toast, scrambled eggs, and sausage. The service was pretty good. Our server was kind and kept checking on us. My friend had ordered a drink that tasted like pure tequila and he replaced it for something better. We also ordered a mimosa flight and they tasted like we're pretty,'but not really flavorful. The music was also loud, which I don't mind. The waitress was nice and took our order. Refilled our water/tea once. Deviled eggs were gummy. I had to spit it out. Ordered pancakes with strawberries and the All American. Never saw our waitress again for almost an hour. Bartender showed up asking if we wanted a drink, no we want our food. Came to Brunch house for my birthday. Food took way too long. When it finally came out, it looked like they just whipped up quickly, had hardly any sauce or steak. I know this is not a Mexican restaurant but as someone who eats chilaquiles all the time from authentic and some that aren't- this was the worst. I took like 3 bites. Did not like it and I asked for it to be removed from my check. They said no because I had ate majority of it. I very much did not. I have worked as a server for years-so I know the importance of tipping. This is the first time that I did not tip. I left there crying....worst birthday. My husband and I were so excited to give this place a try. We're big brunch fans and will happily and frequently drop $100 on a good meal. We LOVE supporting local businesses and when we rolled up it was such a great vibe. It reminded me of Hash Kitchen with the music and the bar set up, and it was so great that it was in Laveen. We got seated fairly quickly, and when the wait staff came she popped in on a corner and was like "oh did you guys want to order yet?" She seemed frazzled that she didn't have paper menus but we told her we were super comfortable with the QR Code. We were remarkably disappointed at the quality of food as well as the amount. The presentation was beautiful, but didn't cover up the fact that they charged $16 for two pieces of Wonderbread toast cut in half. My chicken and waffles was pretty okay, but it didn't come with syrup, butter, and the waitress never came back to even fill up our empty waters or coffee let alone to bring us hot sauce or anything else. My fried chicken breasts were 2 small pieces of chicken tenders. Very good, but for $16 you can throw on an extra tender lol The side of bacon is $5, and it's literally the thinnest Walmart bacon. And they give you two slices. When it came time for the check they didn't bring an itemized receipt or let me look at it, she just said "cash or card?" I had to specifically ask. All in all, we spent $60 and left still hungry. I also really dislike places that charge automatic gratuity for tables of 6. Especially when we didn't receive great, let alone good service. If you have good service, people will pay. But it's unethical to charge and then provide terrible service. Altogether super bummed, was hoping to have a place closer to go to. But looks like we'll still be trekking out to PHX or Chandler. As I said, price for us really isn't the issue. It's the poor service and quality and quantity of food.
