Stopped in for breakfast over the weekend and forgot to leave my Review. I had a really great experience at Denny's thanks to our server Ellena. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything (food and drinks) came out quickly and correctly. You could tell she genuinely cared about giving great service and keeping a positive attitude the whole time. Really appreciated the fast responses and check-ins and overall kindness. I really not sure what has happened to this place. It used to be a good restaurant to go to. The last few times I have gone it has big such a big disappointment. I went here for a late night dinner. Got seated at a booth where there is a big tear in one of the seats, sat down on the other side, table was sticky, and the condiments holder was sticky. It was not too busy and the waitress (who was new) asked for my drink order. I told her I wanted ice tea with half lemonade. My drink comes and it was hardly any ice, no lemonade with a slice of lemon. I give her my order and tell her I wanted the chicken fried steak, gravy and mashed potatoes, and the corn. I get my meal every thing looks ok but....missing the gravy. The waitress said oh that is supposed to have gravy on that, let me get it for you. Then I got a side of gravy. My chicken fried steak was ok when cutting it there was water or grease coming out from it, potatoes were thin and not to my liking and corn was good. Waitress asked how my meal was when I was 3/4 of the way done n I got the 55+ meal, and it was portioned good to fill me up. I tried to sign up with the Denny's app while I was there to get a free apple and ice cream dessert as advertised but, was not sure how to get the free dessert and my waitress was no help she told me she would have a manager come talk to me, that didn't happen. I went to leave and got to the register to pay and was asked where I was sitting, I also didn't get a receipt for my meal so she had to find the waitress to get it. Manager never came back but my waitress did to ring me up and I paid my bill. Told her I was never able to find out how to get the free desert for signing up with the Denny's app, she said oh yeah sorry about that I'm not sure how that works. I'm not sure I will go back to eat here. They really need better staffing, better cleaning, fixing the torn booth seat and helping with the app. read more

We decided to go to Dennys this morning because of their buy a slam get another for a dollar deal. It was worth the drive we had so much food. All the eggs were really good and the edges of the pancakes were crispy. Bacon was a little overcooked but all the food was great. The main waitress did a great job and all while training a younger employee. The restaurant wasn't too busy at 8am so our food came out really fast. I've eaten here a dozen times and sometimes it can be good or bad but today was great. Two thumbs up from me! read more

We stopped in for a quick Saturday lunch. The place is clearly understaffed and less than perfectly clean, but service is prompt and food was very good. My quibble is with the menu. I spent lots of time perusing the menu for a light lunch and finding only gut-busting calorie feasts. Fine print at the bottom of the page offered the possibility of less elaborate fare but it was complicated. It was not until I ordered that I noticed a completely different mini-menu propped up on the condiment rack that actually had the lighter dishes I was seeking. read more

Denny's in my opinion is still a good restaurant. The food and service were good. The only reason I gave this restaurant a three star rating was because I was told that they don't honor AARP cards anymore. To me I thought how sad. Instead I was told that they have their own discounts rather than allowing customers who are senior citizens the option of using their AARP cards for discounts on their meals. My questions would be "Why?" don't they honor "AARP Cards?" read more

Horrible experience today! They are going down hill. New staff & only one girl really nice. Manager very bitchy! Customers orered soup & it had to be made. She said it only can cook so fast. That's something u start first thing. We waited over 5 mins to be seated. It took at least 30 mins for our food! We will think twice bout going there ever. read more

His positive attitude, attentiveness, and sense of humor brought such great energy to our table and made the entire visit enjoyable. Jay checked in at all the right times, anticipated our needs, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. instacart order. so many things wrong! $40 for grand slam, couple of biscuits/gravy, toast and biscuits...no toast, biscuits very old and hard, not edible! eggs were so overcooked, no yolk & edges were burnt & crispy. hashbrowns were so undercooked they were were crunchy. no butter for the pancakes. no jelly for biscuits but 6 syrups. to top it off, the worst pecan pie ive ever tasted! it was like the mini pie desserts you get from a gas station! to top it off, driver had to wait almost an hour to get this horrible, ridiculously expensive food. last but not least, when i called to speak with a mgr. i was only able to reach a recording- that hung up on me! i absolutely wont be returning read more

The steak had good flavor and was still moist. The gravy was iffy and really heavy in butter so it got queasy Crazy Spicy Sizzlin' Skillet (1/5) was requested to have sauce on side but they forgot. The sauce wasn't spicy but more sour... almost as if a tapatio sauce has gone bad. Very tiny amounts of bell peppers and onion, mushroom and chorizo are pretty much nonexistent, chicken was mediocre with no flavor, and the potatoes was about half the dish. Ambience: n/a - ordered food to go Service: 4/5 - only one server for the entire store at almost 8 PM. Friendly but she was missing from the store randomly where customers just stood at the counter to wait to pay or for a table. Food took almost 30 minutes despite a mostly empty store Value for price: 2/5 - the country fried steak was pretty good but would not get extra gravy ($0.99 charge) in the future. I Guess I Won't be going to Denny's anymore. The food was ok and the waitress was GREAT but I should have walked out when I felt how nasty my menu was. IDK but it seems like a lot of these kinds of restaurants don't have their workers clean anymore. Food all over the floor, everything felt greasy and the bathroom smelled like I stepped into a bucket of piss. Every time my husband and I go to this restaurant, it is just disappointing. There's hardly anyone monitoring the cashier/hostess stand. There is never anyone available to seat you. If we do get seated, the server takes our drink order then we never see him or her again. We just walk out like we did tonight. We went to Ihop just down the street. We had good service and good food. If I could give a negative star instead of just one star, I would. This restaurant just does not have good service. Do better!! read more

This place is filthy. The tables are always sticky as well as the chairs. The wait staff is never attentive and I usually have to always bother another waitress from another area. I believe that they are short staffed because there's just no understanding on why no one can help you refill a drink. The food is cold by the time it gets to your table. They was out of multiple items. From drinks to food. I asked a question about the Denny's rewards and she asked what I was trying to get for free. The fish and chips,the fish was overcooked. It was almost dedicated. Dripping with oil. The hash browns with my husbands omelette was only half cooked. When asked for jelly for the toast, none was brought out. No marinara sauce, no tea, no ranch dressing. She was rude. Came and asked if everything was okay, before answering her, she was gone. It was very dull and like a morgue. Will NOT be coming back. Had lunch here while driving from Albuquerque to Alamogordo. Ordered the sirloin steak with Mac and cheese and the veggie medley. My wife had an Philly steak omelette. The steak was cooked how I ordered it and was better than expected. The veggie medley is tiny and definitely looks different than on the menu. Didn't like the Mac and cheese. The omelette was huge came with some buttery toast and more than enough for one person. Overall good lunch, staff was friendly and attentive. For a chain restaurant it was good. read more

As someone who works as a sever, the service that I got was TERRIBLE. We waited for over 10 minutes for our sever to come greet us, which I wouldn't have minded if we weren't one of THREE tables in there. Then when we finally got our food we noticed that we didn't get any silverware, I asked to get some from the server and she never came back with it. We instead saw her in the kitchen talking to coworkers. In the end we just got boxes and left because we couldn't even eat the food without it. Hands down the worst service I've gotten. read more

This was my first time in Albuquerque Nm we came here for a family emergency. My dad and I came to Dennys in town. Have tried twice to eat here. First time at 10am on a Thursday for breakfast--walked in and saw 20 or so people in lobby to be seated. Looked around and restaurant only had 5 tables filled--the rest empty (we stood there with those people for 10 minutes). Waitress finally walks around corner and says sorry I am the only floor person and we have only one cook so it will be 30-40 before seating. I and 20 people left promptly--I have to ask where is a manager? Terrible The next time a week later I went back at 4pm for an early dinner. See above for the SAME experience. I ordered the thanksgiving dinner, order of fries and pie to go. They left out the cranberry sauce, everything was salty, the dressing and turkey looked like it was scraped from another plate into the container (I did not tip or drop the container), the fries were grainy (like they thawed out before deep frying) and they forgot the pie. The general manager acted like she couldn't care less and told me to come back. I told her I was home and not coming back. The general manager than asked me what should be done! Our waitress jennifer was super helpful and kind, we had no problems with her. Maybe the location was short staffed because there was a line to pay for food to leave and when the manager finally came out, upon asking a customer how their meal was, the customer said it was the best sizzilin skillet they ever had, and the manager responded with a very uninterested "uh huh" and continued her conversation with a coworker. Strange that in comparison to the manager, our waitress was much more kind and dedicated to her work and the people. Lame manager. read more
