The restaurant was clean with plenty of open space. Our waitress was MYA and she was attentive and friendly. She made sure we were well taken care of. The Shepherds pie was delicious. We're from Nevada

Time for an update. I love coming to Cracker Barrel. I have a favorite dinner here, one that appeals to my desire to have a great "home style" meal. Home style meals are the forte here. Meals you might have had as a kid, simple, somewhat nutritious (depending on what you choose). Don't get me wrong, I enjoy more gourmet type meals, but, honestly it's just too much on a regular basis. Today I had my grilled chicken tenders, green beans and chose a side salad instead of my typical broccoli. Corn muffins and iced tea. So good. Service is always home town friendly, although sometimes getting seated is slow. But there is the store you peruse while waiting. So many fun things to look at! This particular Cracker Barrel is our fav in Albuquerque. I'll keep coming, if Cracker Barrel keeps cooking up the home meals I crave.

Chicken tenders meal. Very generous portions (6 tenders), but a little heavy on the black pepper.

This Cracker Barrel is located just a few blocks north of I-40 and Coors Boulevard in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There were quite a few problems that we encountered: - Waitress took 5 to 10 minutes to greet us and take our order; - They gave us the wrong sides with our order; - Ten minutes after ordering, the waitress told us they didn't have any chicken and dumplings, we needed to order something else; - They left the bacon off my bacon-cheeseburger; - The food was lukewarm. Overall, not a great experience. Doesn't exactly make me enthusiastic about eating here anytime soon!

I really appreciate that Cracker Barrel supports the RVers by allowing us to use their parking lots for overnight parking. There is no charge for this. They would like you to please buy a meal, or shop in the store, but it's not required. And you're expected to treat the parking lot with respect, i.e., no trash or campfires. So thank you, Cracker Barrel. The store was clean and the restrooms as well. [Review 21086 overall - 133 in New Mexico - 49 of 2024.]

Scrambled eggs and bacon (came with my French toast) along with sourdough bread, not pictured.

We enjoyed our meal. I ordered the mommas French toast for 11.99. Forgot to ask for crispy bacon, but the French toast was out of this world. A new meetup spot for me and my bestie! Love the atmosphere!

Biscuit Benny $11.89 (comes with 2 sides; I picked fried apples and hash brown casserole) and diet coke ($3.49)

I rarely find myself at Cracker Barrel these days but have to admit I actually like this chain...a lot! I just love that their shops are attractive (with lots of cool retro/country shopping items) and a good selection of items on the menu. Plus, who wouldn't enjoy good comfort food once in a while, right? I had a chance to try their Biscuit Benny and honestly thought it was such a great deal! It was just a little shy of $12 for a large, delicious meal that came with 2 sides of choice (I had their fried apples and hash brown casserole as my sides). Yummy! The only thing is..while I thought the meal was a great deal (taste and price wise, the drinks are a bit pricey (my refillable.soda was $3.49..not a deal compared to my actual meal comparatively). That said, all in all, I paid just shy of $20 including taxes and tips for such a nice, heavy breakfast/brunch meal that would probably last me all day! Great staff..and I love that now you get a receipt with. QR code that you can just scan and self-service pay for the service without going up to a counter to pay for your meal after.you are done. A great way to streamline operations+improve customer experience for sure!

One is the darker bar area but we were seated in a room full of full length windows that opened. I had a flight of their beers and enjoyed them all. For lunch I had their red chile bbq pork sandwich while my wife had the enchiladas. The food is a mix of Southern soul food and New Mexican standards. My wife actually preferred her food here over the well regarded New Mexican restaurant we went the previous day. I really liked my sandwich with its kiss of heat.

Only the other one in the South Valley (where we never go) has them. The tv commercials didn't say that. I did let the servers know this bc I felt it was false advertising. We got a Flight of 4 different beers and "settled" on a fried fish w salad which was ok and their grilled catfish tacos which you had to eat w a fork bc they were too messy to pick up w your fingers.. They tasted ok but the salsa and a pink sauce (?) helped to give them more flavor. The atmosphere was ok and the Friday evening crowd was arriving. We ate inside and our server, Sophia, was very good. It didn't take long to get our dinners except my partner's salad took forever! The salads are included w the meals. My salad was different and good which was a Blackeye pea, corn, & more ingredients. My experience there was disappointing since I wanted ribs and not "soggy" fish tacos. I might go back for the beer only.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly set the stage for what would be an unforgettable meal. The rustic charm of the decor, combined with the lively buzz of happy diners, made it feel like a home away from home. I started with the Shrimp and Grits, and let me tell you, it was a revelation. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy, seasoned to perfection with a subtle kick that danced on my taste buds. The grits were creamy and rich, with just the right amount of buttery goodness, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that left me wanting more. Next up was the Fried Chicken and Waffle Jr. Plate, a true masterpiece. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, seasoned with a secret blend of spices that elevated it to new heights. The waffle was fluffy and golden, a perfect vessel for soaking up every drop of syrup. While I do wish they used Vermont maple syrup grade A, it was by no means a flaw, it only added to the charm of the dish. The Sweet Tea was the perfect accompaniment to my meal. It was refreshingly sweet, with a hint of lemon that brightened each sip and left a lingering taste of summer. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made sure every need was met with a smile. Their genuine hospitality added to the overall experience, making me feel like a valued guest. Frank's Chicken and Waffle is a culinary gem in Albuquerque, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal that will delight your senses and warm your soul.

There's this breakfast one on a green chile biscuit (a BEC on a Local) that just keeps me up at night because it's all I want! (...longing looking out the window...) These biscuits are huge in size and just overall the most buttery and perfect decadent carb. They're a huge hit with the family as well, so I come away from those markets with a batch of six Originals! I do love the instances that I can order ahead on the Rail Yards Market system and do a drive thru pick up when we can't go in person. However, that being said, when you go in person, that's when you can get your hands on some of these delectable biscuit sandwiches! The Southern Belle is another brunch favorite of mine. Fried chicken, fried spiced apples and cheddar sounds like a crazy combo, but it's the combo you never knew you were missing in your life. Get it on a Sunriser (red chile, cherry, pepper jack biscuit) to really spice up your brunch! Oh! And the biscuit and gravy....YAAAASSSS!!!! You get to choose your biscuit and get that ish smothered in a green chile sausage gravy. The best part (and this is hard to come by here in ABQ)? Your biscuit doesn't get soggy under this luscious gravy! No joke! The buttermilk biscuits have such an awesome outer butter crisp to them that they hold up to liquids without disintegrating.

I LOVE their biscuits ! I would have left more stars but it's only open on Saturday's.read more
