Very Disappointed - Won't Be Returning Just left Denny's and had a very disappointing experience, especially given that we were celebrating my mother's birthday on her ACTUAL birthday. She brought in her birthday voucher for a FREE Everyday Value Slam and clearly showed it to our server, Marcial M, before placing her order. She specifically told him that she wanted to redeem the free Slam. However, what she received was not the Everyday Value Slam -- instead, she got 3 slices of brioche French toast, eggs, and 2 strips of bacon. At the time, we didn't realize this wasn't the correct meal, as it seemed like a reasonable version of a breakfast plate. Turns out, she was served one extra piece of French toast, making it ineligible for the voucher -- a detail that only became an issue after we'd eaten and went to pay. At the register, the cashier told us the coupon couldn't be used because the Value Slam wasn't ordered. After speaking with the server, they agreed to apply a $6.99 discount, but not the full cost of the incorrect meal that they had mistakenly served. My mother showed her voucher before placing the order. If the wrong meal was put in, that's on the server -- not her. The situation should have been corrected fairly and fully. Instead, we left feeling scammed and disappointed. We will not be returning to this location, and I hope management addresses how poorly this was handled -- especially when it involved a birthday promotion meant to make customers feel welcomed.

We usually go to the Dennys in Simi Valley, but decided to try the Moorpark Dennys today and we were blown away by Corinas service. She's very sweet and fast! We always had what we needed. We live on the far end of Simi, but we will happily make the drive to Moorpark Dennys because of her service today.

Recently, my family and I visited Denny's and although the restaurant was nice and the food was very good, it was the service that stood out to us. Our server was incredibly helpful, quick to get us whatever we needed, and had a great attitude the entire time. If this is how all the servers are we will definitely become regular customers. Also... they have a robot that delivers your food! Awesome.

Looking for a place to meet my friend for breakfast early on a Wednesday morning. Dennys is a good choice because it is usually open 24/7 (this Dennys is not always open 24/7). At 7:30 AM, only one other person eating at the counter. Only one person working the front of the restaurant at that hour so she acted as hostess and server. Unfortunately, forgot her name but service was excellent throughout despite other patrons coming in by 8 AM. The restaurant is typical Dennys decor - a counter in front of the kitchen area with many booths and tables. Very clean. I ordered the Ultimate Omelet with hash browns and a side of pancakes ($16). The omelet had sausage, bacon, bell peppers, sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes and cheddar cheese - soooo good. The pancakes were also surprisingly delish. Way more food than I could finish in one sitting. Also surprising was the robot server that brought the food to the table (see attached video). Very cool. A 5 star meal at a Denny's??? No, Dennys didn't suddenly become gourmet dining. But it does a 5 star job on feeding a hungry guy a very good breakfast at a very fair price.

Corina did everything a server should do and more!!! I was just hit by a truck on my bicycle and she was so kind and considerate during this rough time. Going out with my girlfriend to a fine dining chain known as Dennys with this top tier service is absolutely immaculate. Coming back real soon! :) Corina did not let my Coca Cola be empty EVER. read more

Wow talk about exceptional service , Corina was and is amazing, she got everything right and made sure our food was exactly how we ordered it, she gave me an extra strawberry lemonade with my order of Salisbury steak with A1 steakhouse, steak fries and fried zucchini, my wife also loved her service, this is definitely our little home away from home, she always make us feel welcomed. read more

Elena is always working so hard as the manager and as a server, she is very attentive to the customers and their needs, and never fails to refill your coffee. Marcos is the best Busser you can ask for and is quick to get you your drinks and clean down any table. He always asks me how I am and cheers me up, he attends to customers when hands are full and makes sure the kids get crayons with their menus. Norma is the sweetest server and will dance with you while she works. Silvia always makes you feel cared for and is a mother at heart. Lupita is quick to put together to-go burgers and says hello to me. Antonio always listens to what the server tells him to make and cooks mean yet beautifully curated burgers. Rogelio is encouraging and kind, and never fails to cheer you on while you're running around the place. He never forgets to make toast for the to-go orders or ask you about your cat. Brian is the best dishwasher and always asks how it's going when he comes into work. Teo is quiet, but still works hard like the rest of them. All in all, every worker at this establishment should know how important they are to me and the company! Thank you Camarillo Denny's for always doing the most! The Cinnamon Roll pancakes were so good that I ate three orders today, on top of four eggs, two bacon strips, two slices of toast, another two slices of my mom's toast, blueberry pancakes, the Moons Over My Hammy, and a slice of french toast. We love the Moorpark Denny's. The staff is always friendly, the place is impeccably clean and Corina is so nice. The one in Camarillo is closer to us- but we drive to the Moorpark location because the food and service is SO much better. read more

I'm only giving this many stars because of our server Guilver!!! Wow, was he amazing! He catered to our every need. I had ordered the supreme skillet without sausage or cheese and it was ready fast and brought to me (while he was still holding orders for all of his other tables) and still took the time to stop and make sure it was satisfactory before he continued his trial of dish delivering. He always has a smile on his face throughout the restaurant and such a happy energy!! Will definitely be coming back. read more

Denny's has always been a favorite because I worked for their corporate headquarters and it is truly a good company. Specifically, my husband and I have breakfast here every Friday. The waiters always call us by name and treat us so nicely. We share the Breakfast Skillet with flour tortillas and it always gets to our table quickly, hot and perfectly served. Portion is ridiculously large, we share it AND have leftovers. They always check on drink refills. If course the prices are so reasonable. Highly recommend! read more

Took my mother to Denny's for breakfast and we arrived around 11:15 am. We had to wait to get seated about 15 minutes. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. The name of the waiter I believe was Gulliver. He was super nice and did an exceptional job serving us until we were done eating. He deserves to be recognized and rewarded. This denny's is gross...i don't know what that guy was thinking...of all the denny's this is probably the worst one...i've had so many bad incidents happen at this one its ridiculous...worst service in the world...waiting for an hour for crappy food is not my idea of tip worthy....forgetting my order... having the audacity to bring me a frozen hamburger...literally a frozen hamburger patty! it had ice crystal on it and everything...no joke...i hate this fucking place with a passion...only go if your desperate for food in the middle of the night...and the seven eleven isn't open... read more

I've been visiting this location since 2013 but always late at night. Everything is 50/50, from the food to the customer service. There were times that I received great service & food, the other times everything was mediocre but not bad. Located near the 23 freeway & inside a large plaza. Plenty of free parking & well lit at night. FOOD It's diner food which means it mediocre. For the price & the amount of food, I can't complain. The food is not bad, comes out hot & in a timely manner. AMBIANCE Casual & when it's quiet, it's relaxing. Music is low, not annoying. There are a few people who come here late at night as well to either study or work. DECOR As of 1/22/2016 - it looked like that they remodeled from last year. Interior looks a lot bigger with more seating areas. More modern but with the diner twist. They used earth tones & red colors as an accent. Bathroom is clean & organized 1/2 the time. CUSTOMER SERVICE I never know what kind of service that I'll get. It's 50/50 but overall it's decent, but I dine here late evenings when it's much more quiet. CONCLUSION I'm a night owl & work late at night. If I need to go somewhere, I come here because for the most part, it's decent. I like this location than Newbury Park. I'll still come here during late nights only. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! My daughter and i went to this Denny's today for lunch. We have been coming to this Denny's (which is privately owned) for over two years. today, we were seated and then our waitress went on her break, after bringing our food and then we never saw another waitress again. No one ever came by to check on us to see if we needed any refills or anything. i was so upset, so when i reported to the Manager all he said was that he was sorry and asked if i wanted a soda to take with me. i was also upset over the fact that when you pay your check they ask for a tip. This Denny's will never get our business again. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENNY'S and go to Grinder's, better food and better service!!!!!! It seems like this Denny's doesn't care anything about getting bad yelp reviews, because i never see them responding to them. that says it all! read more

This is the best Dennys. Gulliver and the other servers are so nice. They treat me and my 92 year mom like family. The moment we come in they already know what our drinks are without even having to ask and bring it the table. The food, service, cleanliness is always excellent. It is so nice to have a neighborhood restaurant that treats you like family which is a rare find in today's world. read more

I order online and pay for my food online to make it easy so I can just go and pick up my food. As I'm waiting on line like anyone else would. This couple who got done eating then got in line behind me to pay for their bill. So once someone came to the register I said HI I order online and payed online as well so I'm here to pick up please. The waiter guy then said to me "OH CAN YOU WAIT A MINUTE LET ME RING UP THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOU FIRST" I didn't say anything because I could not believe how RUDE THIS GUY WAS. Like I'm sorry but I waited there first and I already paid for my food I was just picking up what I already paid for. That was by far the worst customer service ever! Like it's common sense who ever is waiting in line you help them first. Dennys needs to train there employees 1. To know common sense to who ever waiting in line FIRST you help them and 2. Everyone cleaning the dishes and by the cook see you waiting on the register and they be taking all loud as if there at a bar and acting like they don't see you waiting at the registered. If some of the employees at Dennys don't like working there then please get a new job. You don't belong in customer service. Won't be going to Dennys in Moorpark ever!! Worst customer service!! read more

When our server Jorge came to the table and asked if we wanted boxes to take the rest of it home it told him not necessary, when I mentioned to him that the chicken was overcooked and was like shoe leather you would think their would be some response. Nothing! Not an apology or can I bring you another one or what can I do to make this better? Just said I will get your check . Wow! Guess it doesn't matter to the establishment that the customer thought the food was sub par, very disappointing. Not sure if I will be back with that kind of attitude from a server, you know these days with everything being so expensive and money being tight for everyone. To go out for a meal costs a lot and to have a meal not be good is one thing but to have the server not even respond to it is another. Sorry Jarro's this is unacceptable, don't think I will be back.

I came here to try out California Bun, an eatery that has harnessed an interesting (long overdue) concept, to package portable food. Here they prepare snack sized bites (or a little more) of favorite food fancies, enveloped in a daily fresh baked round brioche bun. The store is high ceiling, spacious and large, with ample space to dine in or carry out. It is a mom and pop joint, that is slowly but surely, beginning to make a mark. On the main wall, elegantly displayed, are all the many enticing varieties, for the day. My visit was designed to take something to go. The conundrum here is, what to order, because there were so many inviting choices that were talking to you. I finally decided to select three of these evenly browned and differently topped buns. The El Sabroso (Egg, cheddar & jack cheese, bacon & Jalapeno salsa, garnished with Cheese, bacon & jalapeño). The Roadside Burger (Seasoned ground beef, grilled onions, white American cheese, & secret house burger sauce, garnished with Cheese & bacon). The Mac Daddy (Creamy mac and cheese with a cheddar, jack, and parmesan cheese blend, garnished with Panko bread crumbs). So whats the verdict? The Mac Daddy was my least favorite. In comparing the other two, the Roadside Burger seemed to have the higher of (inside filling/inside bread) ratio, as compared to the El Sabroso. However, the latter is the most attractive bun on the outside and overall, contains a good mix of flavors and slight kick. Any food with a visible Jalapeño is a magnet, for me. Still, this concoction needs more of the egg mixture, to achieve the right balance. In general, all 3 buns were soft, had a nice texture, bread taste and chew. Service here is warm, inviting, friendly and informative.

The French Dip had plenty of moist beef in it with a great Au Jus, burger was cooked to perfection and the smashed chicken sandwich was amazing. Plenty of choices of beer featuring local breweries as well as the standard go to's. We got there before the dinner crowd got there and it filled in fast. The pizza arrived about 20-30 minutes later, and while delivery temperature can affect a pie, it usually cannot hide whether the pizza itself is well-made. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark. The box had oil pooling on one side, which was not a great first sign. The crust was cooked around the edges, but the center was thin, soft, and doughy underneath. The added cheese and pepperoni were far too salty together, almost as if they belonged to a different pizza entirely, rather than working with the Margherita base. The basil was strong, which I expected from a Margherita-style pizza, but what felt missing were the diced or sliced tomatoes. Instead, it came across more like red sauce with heavy pizza seasoning, and not in a good way. Overall, the pizza felt rushed and should not have left the kitchen in that condition. I wanted to like it based on the reviews, but this was not a good pie. I'm hoping for better pizza options in the Camarillo/Thousand Oaks area moving forward. I won't be back.

I've always loved Luna Grill, and that's what makes this so frustrating. They recently started using pita chips in the fryer, which means several items that were previously considered gluten free can no longer safely be flagged as gluten free because of cross-contact. For people with gluten allergies, sensitivities, or celiac disease, that's not a small change. It removes a lot of safe options from the menu. The sad part is that this feels completely avoidable. Pita chips could be purchased separately, fried somewhere else, bagged, or handled in a way that doesn't contaminate the fryer for gluten-free diners. Losing access to items like fries, falafel, and other fryer items over pita chips is extremely disappointing. I still love Luna Grill and want to support them, but this change makes it much harder for gluten-free customers to eat there safely. I really hope corporate reconsiders this decision or creates a dedicated fryer solution so people with gluten allergens are not pushed out of options.

I LOVE this place. The food is amazing and the service is almost always incredible. some of the much younger servers are a little unfocused but even they do a better job than most places. the food is all reasonably priced and really great, and I've never gotten my order wrong or mistaken even though it's sort of a weird order. I go regularly, and Ms. Korina is by far my favorite server. She is just so friendly and familiar, she always helps solve any problems that customers might have, she has the best solutions and answers to any problem or question, and she's just beyond sweet. she was serving a table next to me and my boyfriend and was speaking fluent Spanish so politely. she manages to be kind and helpful to all customers and she is by far one of the best employees here. 5 star employee and 5 star diner! read more

Don't go to this restaurant . We just ate yesterday . My husband ordered spicy brisket sandwich and when they served it , the brisket is charcoal burned , all are dark black that you cannot eat .
