I did my turkey dinner on Thanksgiving at Si Bon. It was wonderful. Then, before Christmas, I needed more. What were my choices? Where could I find the perfect Thanksgiving repeat? The answer was only a block away. The new Denny's on Washington. The dinner brought me back to my youth. Turkey, dressing, potatoes, cranberry sauce from a can, and one green vegetable that I didn't like. Just like Mom used to serve. I just had the most amazing service at a Denny's in Palm Desert, CA. When I went in, it was the breakfast rush and they still had a seat for me at the bar. The place is like a symphony. The wait staff hits you up for coffee, water, order immediately. They have big bright color counter order system that they all can see, track the orders, they have signs up warning staff to not use their cell phones. To check out you can scan your receipt and pay with credit card and add tip. Great service, great food, and reasonable! I'm impressed. Sadly, I cannot recall her name, but she had short black hair and wore black horn-rimmed glasses. From my experience, I'm surprised that Denny's 0n Washington isn't rated 4-stars or higher. True, the menu is basic diner fare, but always tasty and prepared as requested. The premises is clean as a whistle. What really draws me back each time is the friendliness of the staff. Stephanie was our server this evening and embodies all of the qualities my wife and I expect each time we dine there: welcoming, personable, upbeat, knowledgeable, and eager to please. First off, the light and positivity of the morning was Josh! Truly made me not have a completely terrible time sitting at the bar for breakfast. If Josh wasn't there then I think I would've gone crazy having to keep hearing Will, who I'm assuming is the shift lead, be a sarcastic asshole to his whole team. He's cussing, being rude to his team, truly changing the whole vibe in what other wise could've been handled differently. As a customer his demeanor really left a foul taste in my mouth. I spun the prize wheel and was told that I had won a reward, but I never received the prize that was displayed. This is extremely frustrating because I participated in good faith and expected the outcome shown on the wheel to be honored. It feels misleading and unfair when a prize is displayed as won but is not actually awarded afterward. I would like this issue to be investigated and resolved as soon as possible. If there was a technical error, I would appreciate an explanation and either the prize I won or a fair replacement. From my perspective, the wheel appeared to be rigged or deceptive because the result shown did not match what was ultimately provided. Tried this location multiple times, consistently disappointed. Poor quality food and service. The parking lot seems pretty busy on the regular so maybe I'm missing something or this area is desperate for more breakfast options. Came here on Sunday and the place was empty! The place looks adorable on the inside and the service was amazing. The place looked very clean, the servers kept checking in on us and the chef in the back cooked the eggs PERFECT! I got the nachos half order and they were so yummy! We waited for a waitress about 10 minutes and gave up and went to the counter for faster service. We ordered and waited and waited. Service is always pretty good. Food also is decent. What irked me was they REFUSE to hand out the value menu. We eat here regularly and NEVER are given the value menu. I understand why, lower profits and lower tips, but that's a corporate issue. I always over tip when I order off the value menu. Dennys, long known for inexpensive, tasty food and good coffee just offered one of the worst breakfasts in years. While the coffee is still good, other than the egg, only 1/2 piece of dry and tasteless bacon was on the plate. Where was the other half? The hash browns were slightly rancid. My husband and I frequently eat at this Denny's. We know a lot of the people that work here. Last night was "HORRIBLE"!!! We went in and the gentleman who works there was way overloaded with go orders. We waited and waited for service and watched others leave. We finally got up and left. He never came over to any of us because he was all alone and could not handle the go orders. Not his fault. We ended up going to a restaurant we never go to, and it was fantastic. Great service and food. I feel bad for the employees at this Denny's, they always have problems with service do to the fact they do not have enough servers. I've been here several times and I love it. It is so clean. The staff is so friendly. I actually met the owner. He's wonderful and we wish him the best!!! For those saying that they had to wait, the service was slow / bad blah blah blah, too much butter on my toast, and by the way, who doesn't love butter on their toast -need to be a bit more patient this is a new location you gotta give them a bit of Grace, when it comes to tweaking things and seeing what works and what doesn't. Absolutely loved my turkey sandwich and my seasoned fries & my iced tea !!! I don't have pictures for all the food that was ordered, but everything was amazing to the point of perfection. The employees were really nice and considerate and always made sure we were good. Great, reasonable prices. I personally got the loaded French toast because it was new and looked delicious. It was really good but I wish the cream cheese in the middle was a little sweeter but other than that it was a good balance between the strawberry glaze on top. Highly recommend. The crêpe was really good as well, and the hashbrowns were nice and crispy. we also ordered a stack of pancakes that were good. I just wish they would have the butter already spread it on the pancakes. We also got regular French toast that came out well. And the other item we ordered was a chicken fried steak which was delicious but the mac & cheese wasn't the best. read more

5 star review for our server, Sophie! We went after the Janet Jackson concert and Dennys was full with only 2 cooks and Sophie as the ONLY waitress. She was patient and so sweet to everyone while taking orders, delivering food, and at the cash register. Our food was also delicious!
