    Salmon salad
    Tiffany Y.

Denny's is a casual restaurant chain that has locations across the U.S. and many other countries. I previously ate at this particular Denny's in Ross Township in 2016 and had a 3-star experience. I decided to try this restaurant again in 2024, and I again rate it as 3 stars. This Denny's menu lists appetizers (e.g., chicken tenders and nachos), salads, burgers and other sandwiches, breakfast foods (e.g., pancakes, French toast, bacon, and omelettes), dinners (e.g., country-fried steak, t-bone steak, and lasagna), sides (e.g., mac 'n cheese and mashed potatoes), desserts (e.g., cheesecake and apple-pie crisp), and beverages (e.g., sodas and milkshakes). Prices are reasonable. For our most recent purchase, my husband and I ordered dinner through Denny's website. My husband picked up the food at the restaurant, and he said that the food was not ready on time. He said that he watched the employees cook the food. He also said that an employee forgot to put salmon on my salmon salad, so he reminded them. He did say that they spoke nicely. Here are the ratings for our foods: Salmon salad - 3.5 stars - This salad contained iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, cheddar cheese, croutons, and my choice of light Italian dressing. It was topped with a salmon filet that was seasoned with garlic and herbs. The ingredients were fresh, but the salmon tasted a bit fishier than usual. Strawberry French toast - 3 stars - My husband ordered this French toast. He ate only part of it and said that it did not like it. I ate some of it, and I thought that it tasted OK. Four slices of brioche French toast were filled with cream cheese and topped with strawberries and strawberry sauce. On the side was bacon, scrambled eggs, and sausage, and my husband preferred the meats over the eggs. Slow-cooker meaty melt - 4 stars - This sandwich contained flavorful beef, caramelized onions, and cheddar cheese on buttery toast. My husband and I thought that this sandwich tasted very good. My husband chose a side of hash browns, and they tasted OK.

Stopped in for some breakfast after my son's Dr appointment in the area. We were seated quickly in a close to empty restaurant. The server was nice, but the service a bit on the slow side. I suspect they have staffing issues. My breakfast crepe was a bit overdone, but otherwise okay. The hotcakes were okay at best. My son inhaled his food without complaint...but that's not unusual. Overall...it was a Denny's...expectations met. Not fantastic, but not bad. I'll probably drive by the next time I'm in the area.

Great breakfast that maybe less known like Pamela's, Kelly'O, or Grand Concourse, but the food service and atmosphere are great! Located between Lawrencevile and Strip district next to the Roberto Clemente museum, sit inside or outside and enjoy breakfast for a donut! Max and Zoey and their team are wonderful in providing excellent food and service! If your a fan of Mac Miller you will most likely hear one of his song played while ordering. food service atmosphere

Thank you Denny's for proper scrambled eggs!

I just came in for a late breakfast on a Sunday afternoon. The food and service were all fantastic and I'm usually fairly hard to please.

It was a typical retro-vintage stop inside, and I was forewarned by the veteran waitress they were open only for the next half-hour. I reassured her I was not planning to stay long. It must've been the end of a long shift for her because she was grumbling to the busboy about the other waitress who decided to leave early. This other woman, clearly the 'Kiss Mah Grits' type, alienated me by calling me Mr. Miyagi and cackling about it to the rest of the staff. I thought I might be expected to recite lines from "The Karate Kid". Instead I ordered the $11.25 Grilled Meatloaf Melt, which came with quite a slice covered in fried onions and melted Swiss cheese barely held together by the toasted rye bread. It was on the greasy side, and the fries were dried out (Photo 10). What would Mr. Miyagi say? On the weekend, we waited about 15 minutes for a table, which wasn't bad at all. During the weekday, we were seated immediately. The star of the meal is undoubtedly the famous crepe-style hotcakes. They're thin, buttery, lightly crisp around the edges, and absolutely to die for. Pair them with the Lyonnaise-style potatoes, and you've got one of the best brunch combinations around. The service was quick and friendly both times, our coffee cups never stayed empty thanks to the free refills, and the food came out surprisingly fast despite how busy it was. The decor has that classic all-American diner charm, simple, nostalgic, and full of character. If you're visiting Pittsburgh, Pamela's is absolutely worth adding to your brunch list. We'll definitely be back.

Luckily there were only a few people ahead of us and this place doesn't really good job of keeping people on a steady flow in and out. They do require that you have all of your party ready to sit before they'll sit you down. We waited perhaps 5 minutes to get a table for four. Among us we ordered the eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, and their classic breakfast sandwich. Across the board it was all very tasty. The biscuits and gravy I think use a sweet or sausage that I'm used to, but it was still very good. One of the best things about the eggs benedict is that it didn't taste just like the sauce, which is common. Instead you got the full medley of flavors from the egg and all the fixings. We also got their classic Italian bread french toast which is so buttery by itself you really almost don't need syrup. Served by very friendly but very efficient waitresses. The only downside, which this restaurant can't really control, is that parking is a pain and is expensive. But that's just a nature of the way the Strip District has grown. We didn't have any other sandwiches but they look like they would be delicious and this would be a good place for a brunch or lunch as well.
