That was us before an IKEA adventure, so Cracker Barrel became the inevitable "Why not?" decision. After weaving our way through the gift shop maze of candles, seasonal signs, and enough tchotchkes to furnish a grandma's curio cabinet, we were seated quickly and greeted by fast, friendly service. Our feast disappeared without a single leftover in sight: crispy fried chicken tenders with three dipping sauces, mashed potatoes, fried okra, green beans, grits, baby carrots, cornbread, and those addictive little muffins. Everything was hot, fresh, and exactly what we were hoping for...even if we didn't know what we were hoping for when we walked in. Cracker Barrel isn't where you go for culinary enlightenment. It's where you go when you're in the mood for "something," and somehow that "something" turns out to be exactly right. Plus, you get to browse an endless collection of charming knickknacks you'll enthusiastically admire and absolutely never allow into your own house. A solid pre-IKEA pit stop. Very disappointed! Was looking forward to a good country breakfast & actually left my leftover container there because I decided I wouldn't eat it later. I got the Old Timers breakfast. Eggs were barely warm & very bland. I asked for extra crispy bacon & I actually asked the waitress to take 2/3 strips back to be recooked. Could've cried over the hash brown casserole! Smallest serving I have ever seen but both the top & bottom were cooked so long it was dried out & crispy? Gravy had no sausage & no flavor whatsoever. Took 35 mins to get there & Im not sure I will make that drive again. Fried okra was delicious tho! Seated promptly, the waitress was nice, but not very attentive, didn't return to fill coffee for a considerable time. When she did bring coffee after I asked for it in passing she allowed the coffee to run down the carafe all on the my flatware and on my right leg. Took 44 minutes to get our food after being seated. Pancakes for 3 out of 4 were so cold they would not melt butter, the 4th didn't order pancakes. Eggs were cold, toast was cold. At the 40 minute mark I asked what was taking so long as the place was not busy. The manager came over and assured me the food would be right out, however the server had said the same thing. The manager would not give me a bill, because of how terrible everything was. However, I refuse to eat without paying. I believe she refused to give me a bill because it has the survey on it. As my sauce I got the Country Comeback, which had a nice blend of tangy and slight spice taste. I ordered the hashbrown casserole as my side, a blend of cheese, onion, and hashbrowns. It was a bit bland, but after adding extra salt and pepper I enjoyed it more. Make sure to sign up for their loyalty program, because I got a free appetizer just for signing up! We shared the Onion Petals, nicely breaded and crispy fried onion slices with garlic salt seasoning. It also came with delicuous Country Comeback dipping sauce. Cracker Barrrell in Moon township: May 2 2026, we waited 30-35 minutes. We asked the waitress to speak to the manager. The manager came out with our food and apologized because the kitchen never received our order. The waitress told us (twice) that she was waiting for the rest of the meal to be prepared before bringing it out. After the manager sat the food down my wife asked if our bill could be adjusted. The manager snapped at her: "I was about to offer that if you would just give me the chance!". Don't know if she was having a bad day or not but that kind of response was uncalled for. I am Irish and Scottish I do know what shepherds pie should taste like. I do love their mashed potatoes and their pot roast it's very good, I'm OK with hash brown casserole. That's what the three ingredients they put together for a shepherds pie, pot roast , mashed potatoes and hash brown casserole. No it does not work. I don't recommend it and I will not order it again. I met some friends yesterday about lunchtime at this location. They ordered food. I arrived after they did so the waiter came to ask me what I would like. I ordered eggs and toast. Since we were all together. I assumed the waiter would bring the food out all at the same time thing that there was a long wait at this particular restaurant prior to my arrival and it was very busy instead the waiter brought the eggs out immediately, and then since I was with a group of people, it was very awkward to begin eating while everyone else was waiting for their food so I waited and then I realized that the other food wasn't coming anytime soon, so I asked the waiter if he could take my dish and keep it warm and bring everything out together. His reply was well. You only ordered two eggs and toast so it got done quick so I brought it out so I said OK. I sat there for a few minutes longer until my friends said go ahead and eat so I eat my cold eggs and toast and then right before I was done their food arrived so it wasn't a very good experience for me. I don't typically frequent Cracker Barrel as an establishment and I believe I will continue not to frequent Cracker Barrel. read more

Walking into any Crackerbarrel is pretty much the same in any state. There are Crackerbarrel personnel ready to assist with any questions. I'm usually walking out of the store with something, this time it was a new Blue Crackerbarrel coffee mug. I have the entire set of cast iron Lodge cookware, Cracker B is in my bones son! It was a welcomed relief to sit with no lines. We were seated quickly and given menus. I zeroed in on my favorite breakfast, The Smoke House. The platter comes with two eggs, I like the sausage patties, grits, biscuits & gravy. And always ask for apple butter! Having a warm, Crackerbarrel biscuit with a dollop of Apple Butter puts a skip in my step. It was a pleasure to visit this Crackerbarrel in Pittsburgh. Not being a chain restaurant person, I wasn't keen on eating here, but it was a Sunday morning and we were traveling. It took the hostess a long time to seat us, which could mean there was a shortage of servers. Once we were seated, our server was attentive. I ordered the sour dough toast, with a hole in the middle and an egg cooked in the hole, along with bacon and hash brown casserole. I asked for the eggs over easy, but when they arrived they were hard boiled. Although there were many strips of bacon, they were piled in a lump, and half were cooked and half weren't. Ugh! A typical Cracker Barrel..mediocre food, chaotic gift store, etc. no part of the meal was all that great though. The French toast was kind of soggy but I thought it was cute that I got a little sealed bottle of syrup. The biscuits were pretty good and the gravy was decent but not outstanding to me. The restaurant was dirty and that's really where my issue comes in. Trash and food on the floor, my mug didn't seem properly washed, and the menus were stained and had dried food on them. I ordered black coffee and my boyfriend tried their "fruit stand" iced tea. It was really good and refreshing! We impulsively ordered the biscuit beignets. They were like biscuit donuts with a cinnamon dipping sauce. This definitely isn't something I would typically order, but I was "technically" still on vacation, so fried biscuits were necessary! They were crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. 5 stars for sure! For entrees, I wasn't sure what to order since most dishes came with meat. I went with a combination plate that had eggs (dippy of course), biscuits, cheesy hashbrown casserole (my fav), grits, and cinnamon apples. I knew that would be more than enough for me. It also came with ham, bacon and sausage (LOL so much food), and I gave that to my boyfriend to eat. The food was good and the service was great. We had leftovers for another large breakfast meal. The only thing I really couldn't eat was the grits. They were super watery and boring. The hashbrown casserole was the highlight. The whole bill was really cheap (I think around $30), for how much food we had! I recommend this location if you are trying to fill up before or after a trip to the airport! read more

A family restaurant with a fun gift shop! The restaurant is pretty spacious and always expect it to be more crowded than it is. Our breakfast came out in record time.. barely put a dent in my coffee. I ordered the "sunrise sampler" Eggs, grits, fried apples, hash brown casserole, bacon, sausage and ham. Also, sawmill gravy and biscuits. It was the perfect breakfast for anyone who is pretty hungry in the mornings. I didn't finish it all but did sample it all. The fried apples were delicious and different.. covered in cinnamon. I liked the ham and bacon a lot but not the sausage so much. The hash brown casserole was good but too many onions (that's all I could taste). The gravy was a bit odd but ok. Ideal for those that love sausage gravy. I had to try one of the pecan pancakes.. outstanding!!! Our server was great - on the ball. The price was average for breakfast and do see us returning. While my boyfriend was paying our check, I enjoyed browsing the gift shop. Plenty of "gift" ideas if you are struggling to find something for a for a special occasion gift. Had a waitress who got mad we were seated at one of her tables, and proceeded to getting our beginning drink order wrong, slamming down the glasses and cups on the table, then slammed them down even harder when she had to go back and get more. I asked for a manager and when he finally came, he got insulted when I said the place was being run like "shit", so he never addressed the problem, but kept going on and on about that one word. When I kept asking him if he was going to deal with the bad attitude, he told me to leave. We went up the road to Perkins, had a pleasant breakfast with pleasant staff. DO NOT GO TO AUSTINTOWN CRACKER BARREL! If you want a better place to eat, go to Perkins. read more

Cracker Barrel is a chain business that is half store and half restaurant. In the front near the entrance, you walk past products such as home décor, clothing, and snack foods. In the back is the restaurant. During my visit today, I think that the business was understaffed, because my husband and I waited a long time to be seated and to give our order. Some tables were empty, but the seating hostess made us wait 10-15 minutes before seating us. Then we waited an additional 25 minutes for our waitress to initially stop by and introduce herself. The employees were friendly, but as I said, the waits were very long, and the waitress never brought us drink refills for our water and tea. Here are my ratings for the foods: Sunday Homestyle Chicken - 4 stars - Two boneless chicken breasts were breaded and deep fried. The meat was large and juicy and had no bones, and the breading was perfectly crispy. Even my husband felt eager to try some of my food! My sides were corn muffins, some of which were burned; broccoli, which tasted OK; and seasonal fruit, which was strawberries and pineapple chunks. Country-fried steak - 4 stars - The steak was fried and topped with gravy. My husband chose sides of corn muffins, some of which were burned, mashed potatoes, and fried apples. My husband seemed to enjoy this meal. The total price was $33 plus a tip. read more

The food was really off as was the service. I ordered a hamburger steak w/mashed pots and broccoli. The waitress came back and delivered the hamburger steak and the broccoli. They were out of mashed. The hamburger steak was mis-characterized. It was a frozen hamburger patty not a hamburger steak. I had the same patty on a Hardee's burger the next week (it was, again, lousy). I was looking for a place to get a good meal before flying out of PIT and this is where I stopped. The wait was about 15 minutes to be seated because they were busy. Jordan was our server and, even though he was new, he did well in taking care of us. We had our drink order in and the food order just as fast. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with a loaded baked potato and the macaroni and cheese. The presentation of the food was great when it cane out and tasted just as good. The chicken was crispy, the potato was soft, and the mac and cheese was creamy. Overall, this was a great experience. I'm happy to say another Cracker Barrel lives up to my expectations. read more
