This place happened to be conveniently located near my hotel so my aunt and I walked here for breakfast. Otherwise, we wouldn't normally stop by a Denny's while traveling because we both like to try new places that are unavailable back home, and Denny's is definitely NOT novel to us. Anyway, this place resembles an expanded diner. Our waitress was being trained, so we had multiple waitresses throughout our breakfast. Service was great - they were all very nice and attentive. We both tried the Build Your Own Skillet option. I had hash brown, eggs (2), spinach, avocado, prime rib, and shredded cheddar cheese for about $7.99 or so. Essentially, you are allowed to choose one meat, eggs, potatoes, cheese, veggies, and extras for about $6.99. Avocado is considered an extra, but I absolutely love avocado so I had to get it! Loved all the options, though it made it more difficult than necessary to choose from each category. Tasted great and comes on a sizzling skillet. The hot chocolate was good, and their biscuit is phenomenal, though it probably has a ton of butter in order for it to taste so soft and delicious! We were served tonight by such a friendly yet peaceful waitress who aimed to please. Some areas she missed, but in spite of the shortcomings, the food was actually delicious, thanks to the cooks and I know she worked really hard to take care of us. We ordered an abundance of food and everything came out hot. The children enjoyed their strawberry popping pancakes and the others enjoyed their various slams and loaded veggie omelette. Pulled pork was super dry, the chopped was dry and salty, sure good fries and hush puppies but nobody goes to a BBQ restaurant cuz the sides were good if the meats were not. Now the brisket definitely deserves to be treated as an entity on its own, super moist and seasoned to perfection. Overall if you are going for brisket, perfect choice. If you didnt know, Denny's recently changed their oanvake recipe which produces fluffy, tasty buttermilk pancakes. My daughter always leaves here as a proud member of the clean plate society because she eats everything on her plate. Her fave dish of choice for the kids menu is the chocolate chip pancakes (comes with 3) + bacon and milk. Big comfy booths, and a nice environment allows my husband to work here comfortably while sipping on coffee. It's brewed fresh and you have a choice of flavored ot regular cream. The waitstaff is always anxious to refill your cup, which we parents appreciate! Denny's has been under-the-radar for me for a long time. I always thought of it as being on the same level as an IHOP or Waffle House. Today's visit turned that all around. Our poor waitress was admittedly over-busy; normally I would put that down to poor management but they did mention that someone had called in so I will assume that normally they don't run one waitress per every 14 tables! We were just looking for somewhere quick to eat to kill an hour or so and our food was pretty impressive. Not only did everything come out in a timely fashion and perfectly as we ordered, but my husband had originally ordered a T-bone only to be informed they were out since their supplier was running late on deliveries. Our waitress didn't even blink an eye when our kids ended up needing a second kids' order (growth spurts, you never see them coming!) and the manager even sent over a complimentary T-bone after their delivery guy finally showed up. Overall, I've upgraded Denny's from "late night fare I typically avoid" to "somewhere we can go that I know the kids will EAT"! Love it! read more

They have some specialty Fantastic Four items right now since the movie is coming out soon. It came with 2 blueberry pancakes topped with bananas and strawberries. I like how Denny's puts all the caloric information on the menu and it wasn't actually as bad for me as I would have thought. It came with a side of bacon, hashbrowns, and 2 eggs (which I ordered over-easy). The pancakes were a little rubbery and not as fluffy as I typically like, but still edible. Also, all the blueberries were in the center of the pancake and not around the edges at all. What's up with that? The hashbrowns were a bit bland and I've also had way better bacon. But the prices were good for the amount of food you get here. They do have a good discount for AARP members. My grandparents were able to get 15% off the whole bill for showing their AARP card. I wouldn't go here for fabulous food, but it is good if you want a full out breakfast without breaking the bank. read more

My breakfast was fine and was exactly what I expected: a typical, average diner style breakfast. The eggs were scrabbled perfectly, and the bacon was surprisingly crunchy and decent quality. The sausage was okay and was a little dry and salty. The toast came out golden brown, but the hash browns were not as golden brown as I would have liked. I really like when stove top has Browns have that great crunchy brown exterior, but these hash browns were too soft for my liking and lacked seasoning. Overall, Denny's is a place to get a decent breakfast for a reasonable price. If you're not feeling IHOP, then Denny's is a good place to go to get all your breakfast classics. read more

Terrible and embarrassing experience today. This is not a knock on the food. The food was good. Our server was good. This is about management. After my wife and I finished our meals we were notified that the debit/credit machine went down so they were only able to accept cash. I, like most people in this country don't carry that kind of cash anymore. So they gave us the only option suitable for THEM. They required me to LEAVE the restaurant to go find an ATM and then bring back the cash to pay. But before we did that they required me to let them write down my phone number and DRIVER'S LICENSE NUMBER! So now not only am I supposed to be inconvenienced to leave and hunt for an ATM, I am now an untrustworthy CRIMINAL? Here's the cherry on top... Management made ZERO effort to make things right for massively inconveniencing us by at least giving us a discount off the check. Taking off our beverages would've been more than sufficient, but alas all they offered was a "sorry". Guess what Denny's. That's not enough. Get your stuff together and if you're going to inconvenience customers by making them leave to get cash AND make them feel like a potential crook in the process, at the very least comp them an entree. I saw one man leave his family and his meal right there at the table to find an ATM. This man felt so guilted to get that cash as soon as possible he even left half of his uneaten meal at the table. Strawberry Pancake Puppies are so amazing and yummy . Great choices for healthy breakfast and I love the burgers, shakes and fries. They amazing choices for pancakes and I love choosing many options.
