They've always been good. Why did it take me so long to come back? I'm usually traveling with my husband and he prefers BBQ or a burger when we're traveling. I'm glad I mentioned it Saturday, when we were looking for a place to eat lunch! We all loved it so much that we ate there again the next day, on our way home. Between us, we tried both kinds of Chicken Pot Pie (Traditional and Mushroom), the Chicken Salad on Croissant, the Tomato Soup, and the Bacon Quiche. Each entree was served with two hot rolls. I didn't have room for the rolls, but those who did said they were good. Dessert? You may have to take it with you, but they're packaged well. The quiche reheats well in the microwave. Those who tried it said it was the best quiche ever, and ordered it again the second day, so I took a piece home to try. I haven't tried my Cherry Raspberry yet, but the others said the Coconut Cream (whipped cream) and Custard were wonderful. I did try one of his cinnamon/sugar pie crust cookies. They tasted just like my mama used to make. He said he's planning to sell those at the Harter House Stores in the Springfield area, so I'll be looking for them. He's also bringing a truck to Harter House in Springfield on Eastgate, occasionally, so I'll be watching their Facebook Page so I can buy a piece of pie without going to Rolla. Good pie crust makes a pie, and luckily, you can find them in the freezer case at Harter House and Price Cutter Stores. Look for "Mickey's Pie Crust", ready to put in the oven and bake.
