Came in for a late breakfast yesterday, parking lot packed so expected a long wait. To my surprise, the kind greeter had a booth available in front of TV. Gracious pleasant Hispanic waitress took my order, the four-buck slam. Two reasonable pancakes, two scrambled eggs and two sausage links was done right. Do you want more lemonade? No thanks, one big glass was enough. Above and beyond service on a busy morning, they get a medal. We just left the Denny's and sad to say that the service was horrible and food wasn't the best. We grabbed a Cobb salad and a Crepe Special and both plates were bad. The steak on the Cobb salad was cold after we asked for it well done, not only the but the salad was missing tomatoes. Once we asked for them to remake they brought us back what looked to me as the same salad with well done steak but the tomatoes were rotten. The Crepes tasted like re-used oil and it tasted awful, everything else about the plate was good. We never got a refill and we waited for 10 minutes for our check that we never got. We got up to pay since the check was never given to us, once there we told the front desk and she brought the manager who name was Dallas, he was very rude and when he asked for the check we told him we never got it. He repeated himself in a very rude tone and we told him again and he said "yes I heard you", and walked off. For breakfast, I have found no place better. I would give it five stars but it seems a little dark to me. And as with any restaurant the waiter/waitress has a lot to do with the overall experience. But usually I leave there happy. The coffee is hot (usually), my favorite breakfast entree is the 55+ Fit Fare omelette, egg white filled with squash, onions, spinach, Swiss cheese, and a side of fruit. Excellent value and flavor. Some of the waitstaff is outstanding, and I'm sure I'll leave someone out who should be included, but if you are lucky enough to get Maria, Nicole, Ricky, you will leave Denny's happy. read more

We went in a waited over 5 minutes to be seated. No one even said anything to us. Not busy but no staff in site. We walked out.

Don't go here! I expected a wait on Father's Day, but didn't expect horrible service. Took over 5 minuets to be greeted. 10 minuets later the server asked us what we ordered to drink. When he came to refill the coffee, the pot was brought over my 3 year olds head twice. Over 30 minuets after we ordered our food people that sat down after us were getting there food. Was clean enough, including the bathrooms. Has seemingly been renovated so thats nice. Sadly, our waitress was clueless about the menu. Well, to be honest, clueless in general. Anytime in asked how something was she said she hadn't had it and didn't eat there. What kind of server doesn't sample what she's serving? Isn't that par for the course when you work for a restaurant? Anyway, I requested a pot of coffee and asked if they had any kind of reduced fat milk. She didn't seem to know what that meant. "Like, not creamer?" She asked. "No. Creamer is even fattier than milk. Do you have skim or 2%? Anything like that." Then she got it. She returned with a cup of coffee (not the pot as I asked) and the tiniest mini 1/4 cup of 2% milk ive ever seen. Ok, I get it. It's to save money, but jeeze Denny's, that's cheap. I shouldve realized this was going to be a struggle but I didn't want to be too judgemental. I asked for a glass of ice so I could cool down my coffee a bit (i know, i know... thats counterproductive to ordering hot coffee but I dont wanna scald my mouth) so she's asked if I was switching to iced coffee. I said no and why. She was completely befuddled by the concept of cooling it down vs having it iced. She stammered in confusion adding that their iced coffee had cream and in said I didn't want that. I never thought I'd have to clarify why I was asking for a glass of ice, or anything for that matter, to someone who's purpose is to bring me anything reasonable that I ask for from the restaurant. Ok, now I sound like a dick but I was very frustrated by this girl. The food was fine in general. Hashbrowns were waaaaay too greasy. The chicken noodle tasted earthy. Not like escargot but like someone didn't wash the vegetables in it. I'm sure its frozen and shipped in but thats what it tasted like. As if it had earth/dirt in it. On the bright side the pancake puppies (fried balls of pancacke batter) served by what looked like the manager or shift sprvsr were very good and he was such a delight. On Saturday July 8, 2017 at 9 pm my wife and I went to the Sun City Center Denny's. We were promptly seated and tended to by our waitress Heather. We got our drinks and ordered our dinner. We noticed it was taking a little more time then normal to get our food. Our waitress, Heather explained that she was made aware that there was an issue in the kitchen with the fryer. apparently they were down to one fryer. While waiting for our dinner Heather was keeping us informed and tending to all our needs. You could tell she was a pro and knew how to do her job. If it wasn't for Heather we would have left and never returned. Our food eventually came out and it exceeded our expectations. We both had different types of burgers that were each very, very good. Denny's is very fortunate to have someone of Heathers caliber working there. We will definitely be coming back because of her. Thanks Heather and we look forward to seeing you again! read more

I ordered from Postmates tonight and it ended with the police being called. LOL how would you think this would happen? Because a waitress named summer who apparently according to herself and others working there that told me themselves she cannot be fired for reasons they cannot explain. The last time I ordered I paid for extra Ranch because I hate double Dippers but I did not get any Ranch at all so this time I called to make sure they had not forgotten. Summer answers doesn't listen to me apparently and says they don't take orders over the phone I would have to call a food delivery service, instead of dealing with her appearance lack of attention span, I asked to speak with the manager, she laughs in my ear and hangs up on me I call three more times and she hangs up three more times I finally on the last call said if she hangs up again I will come up there to speak with the manager. She told me to go ahead and do it bitch if I feel froggy. So I proceeded up there and I actually beat my Postmates delivery woman there, I tip her and start to explain why I am picking up my order and she does not have to take it to my place of work when summer comes over talking shit so I predictably start talking shit back, it ends with her threatening to beat my ass and a co-worker stepping in front of her to keep her away from me. When the manager finally comes over I watch both him and the worker step in front of her, with of course both of us continuously talking shit over their shoulders to each other. The manager is very polite but refuses to call them general manager and summer precedes to tell me better beaches and me have tried to get her fired and she never will be! When they get her to go outside to cool off another worker of hers also informs me that she will not be fired ever. I asked him if that's because she is sleeping with owner of the place and he says nothing like that but he knows for a fact she will never get fired no matter what she does. So I decide to escalate this because it's not the first time I have had issue with this woman. I call the police because yes people, threatening to physically harm somebody is in fact against the law. But I knew it wasn't going anywhere my main goal was to gain the attention to the situation not have it swept under the rug like it was in the past. Nobody is arrested but they run her information watch the video and her co-workers say that they heard me say I was going to beat her ass as well, the cops then tell me they believe her coworkers are lying but it's their word against mine so as compensation they told me they made the manager called the general manager when he refused to do it for me. So I proceeded to refuse my food because she is definitely the type of white trash that would mess with somebody's food no matter what her very nice and professional gay friend/ coworker told me. read more

Living in the area we are kinda forced to this Dennys as there aren't many options around here. Probably ordered here 15 times over the last couple of years and have my orders right maybe 3 or 4 times. Rarely do they offer you coffee refills or check on your order. Missing food items will go ignored. No real standards. read more

This place smells bad. The waiter was not friendly, she look like she was having a bad day. I got serve in dirty cups, The cups had dry coffee marks. I have to go find my waiter to ask for the check, after she brough me coffee I didn't see her again. I was out of coffee no one offer me a refill. Not coming back to this Dennys. read more

The only saving grace of this visit was the food, a cheeseburger w/ hash browns, egg & bacon on it (perfect dinner/breakfast combo). It was absolutely freezing inside, if I didn't have long sleeves on, there is no way I could've stayed there! Service was painfully slow when there were barely any people in there, I would say about 75% empty. The true icing on the cake was when I went to pay; this masculine woman at the register did not look even look up, didn't say "give me a minute", didn't ask how my meal was, NOTHING. I stood there for 30 seconds before she scanned my receipt in. I had exact change ready. I paid & said "thank you". She literally responded in the most irritated tone, "UH HUUUUH" & nothing else! I was honestly taken back w/ her demeanor & her obvious lack of customer service skills. I'm from NY & expect a little more Southern hospitality than a disgruntled "uh huh".
