The Denver omelette, hashbrowns, and toast were what I expected from a Denny's. No problem with that. But if you're going to ask for a tip of 18%, 20%, or 22% on the payment terminal, there are some minimum standards that need to be met: I shouldn't be waiting 20 minutes for the food only to then get part of my order brought out. And I think refilling my water at least once during the meal isn't too much to ask. Maybe you were busy. Or maybe you're also operating two other ghost kitchens out of this establishment and your kitchen can't keep up. In any case, one star. read more

Our meal was fresh and warm. Everything was delicious and tasty. The nachos were a bit on the salty side, but I wouldn't order again. It was the first time we order that. I've been here a few times this winter and waited to give a review based on several visits. I was keeping an open mind because surely this location couldn't be perfect all the time... I was wrong. The food is consistent, the service is great and the establishment is kept clean! As with all brunchy places in San Jose, be prepared for a wait on the weekends during brunchy hours. That's a given. What to expect (it's San Jose!): -Waiting on weekends during brunch hours -unhoused patrons on the outskirts, mainly tagging for the free WiFi -weird parking arrangements (shared with a sketch motel in the backside -not so safe parking (bring your valuables inside!) This location is way better than the old one on First St that is now shut down. That one used to smell like backed up sewage, human urine and desperation. read more

OK check this out..I was in San Jose recently and am an early riser, I ended up at Denny's by the San Jose Airport because they were open very early. I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast and it was clean and flavorful (not the best but good enough). The customer service was very good and attentive to refilling my coffee, asking If I needed anything else, etc..- the place is clean and comfortable. I have been there a few times ordering the same meal and they have been pleasantly consistent. I would recommend this for an early morning place to eat breakfast. read more

We ordered from Banda Burrito on Uber Eats this morning while heading back to SoCal. The place was listed as being about a mile from our hotel, but after circling the area multiple times, we finally found it--inside a Denny's. I hadn't checked the Uber Eats details closely enough, but had I known it was actually Denny's, I wouldn't have placed the order. When we got to the counter, the cashier confirmed: Banda Burrito is Denny's. No signage or heads-up--just... surprise. As for the food, it was honestly one of the most disappointing burritos I've ever had. Tasteless, overpriced, and just flat-out bad. Even with salsa and Cholula, nothing could save it. Our service was amazing. Probably one of the best service I had at a Denny's. My friends and I got breakfast here before our trip to Monterey. I got a Fit Slam with substitution of cheese instead of tomatoes. It was an overall good meal. The egg whites, the spinach, the cheese were good. I would probably ask for them to go easy on the spinach next time but overall pretty satisfied--they were generous with the spinach. Service at 6am is really slow. My food was basic but lukewarm. Like it was sitting for a few minutes before it got brought out. Sausage was cold. I asked for over easy eggs, they were over cooked. Small public parking lot in front, but there's plenty of shared parking spaces in the back with the old hotel/motel. Hotel guests visit often. Newer hotel next door too. Can you believe that they still have plexiglass up at the table/seat booths? Looks like they left it as is, especially after pandemic. Come hungry. Denny's is always good for casual American breakfast/brunch with lunch and dinner meals available. We usually order the Grand Slam pick and choose own breakfast items, go with breakfast skillets, or anything omelettes. Delicious. Pancakes are always fluffy good and you get the entire bottle of syrup to use. Staffs are attentive. They serve you and clean up right after. Hot chocolate and sausages look the same. Usual hot coffee with plenty of creamers. Hash browns are a must for me. I decided to go with over easy eggs and had a share of the omelette with veggies. Sourdough bread with butter is good too. Denny's butter is good. Don't forget ketchup and sauce. Most of the cheaper breakfasts on menu was $14.99 each. I had a very good Mile High Denver Omelette. Happy. Single ice cream scoop is still $1.99 each while everything else has gone up $1-$2 since year 2018. But, where's the cherry top? LOL, inflation doesn't help much. At least Denny's haven't raised prices like fast food restaurants or McDonald's. Pay at front counter after dining in. Friendly and welcoming. I noticed they have more new immigrants working here now. Hardworking. Most people would give them 3 stars for being an old Denny's inside an old lot with ghetto hotel/motel nearby, but as a regular customer, I give them my 4 stars for service and comfortable tables/seats inside. They never disappoint and are always willing to give us promotional discounts when available. They always know what you're referring to when things aren't on the menu. Military veteran friendly too. Old places can be just as great as modern places for dining out. We enjoyed visiting again. American breakfasts are worth waking up for if you're hungry. read more

I had 'Straight Up Bourbon Steak' and 'Pumpkin Pie' delivered last night. I enjoy the bourbon sauce so I paid for extra. I received delivery and found no extra sauce or any bourbon sauce on the steak at all. A plain steak. I call and the employee says I can come back for the sauce. I'm sick, and in Santa Clara thus the reason having it delivered. The employee says 'Well what do you want me to do?'. I said, 'That's for you to tell me. I'm not your boss.' The employee tells me to call back and speak to her manager. So this is what blew my mind. I call back and the manager say's exactly the same thing. She told me that the cook forgot to put the sauce on and the extra as well. I already figured that out. Then the manager says come in during the week and we'll talk about it. What? It's quite simple making decisions. If the manager had said she would take off the price of the Pumpkin Pie on the order I would have been satisfied. But instead I've been asked to go to Denny's in person, for a meeting to haggle, creating additional inconveniences. Can anyone say poor customer service skills? Let's save time! I write a less than flattering review, and never patronize this Denny's again. Done. read more
