Puke! Stay away! I used to come here when it was Friendly's. This is my first time since the make over to Denny's. Please stay away people if you do not wish to get sick. I stopped by with my Uncle, Aunt and their kids. It was kids eat free on Wednesday nights. How do they even make money? When I walked in the door there was another family and 4 kids......that was the only occupied table and a group of 2 that just left. That were 6 of us in a small 4 seater booth.....my uncle had to sit at the end of the booth table....and I had to sit by myself.......there was a separate room with round tables that could sit up to 8 but they said it was occupied?....what! There was no one else in the place besides us and another group....which was kind of rediclious. I ordered the country fried steak the food took about 20 minutes. Why it took so long? I have no idea when there was 2 tables occupied total! The sauce to my country fried steak looked like glue. It came out the other end instantly when I got home. I ordered seasoned fries and instead was given plain fries. I asked for a cup of gravy to go with the fries and all I got was ketchup. I'd strongly recommend against ordering food online for delivery from this Denny's. We ordered some food for my homebound sister-in-law; only one out of the three items in the order was delivered (but of course we were charged for all of it). We attempted to call the restaurant to address the problem, but got 20 busy signals and one instant hang-up over a two-hour period. We finally got through the next day, only to be told by the lady who answered that she couldn't do anything about the issue but would have the manager call us back "within the hour." I have eaten here with my kids for years and have always been very happy with the food and the service. Today, though, I had a different experience with Denny's. I had car trouble and was afraid to drive home. And, I had left my cell phone at home. I pulled in to this Denny's and the three ladies working today were so helpful, I don't know what I would have done without them. They went out of their way to place phone calls for me so I could reach help and would have let me keep my car there overnight. Thankfully, that wasn't necessary. I went to dinner there yesterday and ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and zucchini with squash. The mashed potatoes tasted as though they were flavored with dish cleaning agent it was very disgusting, I find it hard to believe that I can get better mashed potatoes from a frozen dinner then I can from a diner that prides itself on quality food. DO NOT EAT HERE!! I ordered chicken noodle soup here and while it looked like dirty dog water I went ahead and tasted it. It tasted very funny but I assumed it was just a different seasoning or the way they prepared it. Afterward I was sick as a dog for about 3 days. I was extremely dehydrated, with bad abdominal pains, explosive diarrhea, and just without zero energy. I was visiting New York City during this time and it ruined my entire trip. MY ENTIRE TRIP. It's really annoying when you get a waiter who gives you the impression like he really doesn't care whether you're there or not. I asked how the pot roast was he told me it was good... It sucked. I asked for a dinner roll, didn't get one. I asked for the pot roast not to have mushrooms and gravy. It came out initially with mushrooms and gravy. When it came back there were still remnants of mushroom And onions. No thank you. I left a tip because I always do... But he really didn't deserve it. Never came back to check on me once. Decided to give Denny's another try this morning with my husband and young daughter. Got seated right away but our table was pretty close to the door, we were going to ask to be moved but we could hear some serious drama coming from the kitchen so we decided we had better sit and keep quiet. Apparently one of the waitresses was having a particularly bad day because her screams and colorful language could be heard by all of us in the dining room. Everything from the "N" word to the "F-bomb" was being tossed around. Followed by a "if I get one more G** D ** table I'm walking!" At this point restaurant patrons were exchanging terrified glances at each other while my husband and I silently prayed that this would not be our waitress. Thankfully, our waitress was lovely and attentive and actually apologized for the psycho waitress and the food was hot and above average. I must say it was a very uncomfortable experience and this drama continued on and off throughout our meal. I don't speak or act that way in front of my children and I don't expect someone who is being paid to do a job to act that way either. My stars are solely for MY waitress and the food. Worst service ever. Their servers seat you then go take a 30 minute smoke break (some have even asked me if I had a smoke in the past). Overall they take an hour to prepare a burger. Their employees have terrible attitudes and curse and are very impolite to customers. Food is usually very undercooked and gross too and makes you feel terrible for 24 hrs. Today is my daughter's birthday, so we went to Denny's because that is where she selected to go for breakfast. There was three of us with my daughter, my mom and myself. We were literally the only customers in there at 10:00 on a Friday! We sat at a booth near the door as my mom is disabled. Mom ordered blueberry pancakes with bacon, I ordered a veggie loaded omlet, with bacon and my daughter ordered a grand slam. We had two coffees and a soda. When we ordered, we asked that our bacon be crispy as we don't like rubbery bacon. The waitress brought the food and disappeared. She never came over to see if everything was okay or to offer more coffee. Nothing!!! The bacon was not crisp, and I had to go find her to ask if they could put it on the grill to crisp it up. She said that all they do is microwave it, and offered to get us some more crispy. I took one bite of my omlet, and it was horrible! The veggies they used (onions, peppers, spinach) were a heated up frozen product that were rubbery and had no flavor. I couldn't even stab a piece of onion on my plate with a fork. It was a huge disappointment. My daughter and mom had pancakes that tasted too much like vanilla and they didn't like them. I had to go try to get someone's attention to ask for a second cup of coffee. Once again, there was not any other customers in the entire place! When we were ready to leave, the waitresses (4 of them) came to our table with a piece of cheese cake for my daughter with a candle in it to sing Happy Birthday to her which was very nice, but at that point we were pretty much surprised that they even knew we were sitting there! As soon as we pulled into the driveway, both my Mom and my daughter raced to the bathrooms feeling sick! That was a horrible experience overall. Being the only customers in the restaurant, I shouldn't have to hunt down a waitress to bring us some coffee! How difficult is it to cut up and cook some fresh veggies for an omlet? Instead they microwave frozen veggies and stuff them in an omlet shell. Do they have any idea how lame that is??? When our waitress finally brought us our check and a box to bring home food, she asked me if I wanted to bring home my meal. I told her no, that it was tasteless, and that if I knew they used microwaved from frozen veggies, I wouldn't have ordered it. She just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Had she come to the table to see how everything was or if we needed anything, she would have found out that my meal was unsatisfactory. Maybe she knew that already and decided to stay away rather than face the music??? I begrudgingly left her a 10% tip which was way more than I should have for that crummy service we received! Luckily for me that I didn't end up eating my food, as my guests are both in the bathroom suffering with diarrhea after eating the pancakes! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! Service was absolutely crap! Took them about 10 minutes to even notice my wife and I standing there waiting to be seated. Then when we got seated it took about another 10 for the waitress Robyn W. to even get our drink order. Another 10 minutes before we got our drinks and by that time we already knew what we wanted before we even got our drink order. Our waitress took another 15 minutes to even come back to get our food order. It wasn't even busy at all for them to have such crappy service! But let's not forget that our waitress reeked of weed. Which don't get me wrong I'm not against it and I'm a smoker myself, but when the smell is dead in my face while trying to order it makes the experience unpleasant. Watched our waitress walk right right outside the door not even 10 feet from the door to smoke and then came back in smelling like it again to take our food order. The food on the other hand was pretty decent. Although when I ordered my build your own grand slam my first thing I said was pancakes and those were forgotten until I said something. By far the worst experience I have had at Denny's while away from home! It took 10-15mins for our server to give us menus after being seated, 45mins for our food to arrive, and she was extremely rude and grumpy from the beginning. You could hear other guests talking about the bad service as well. Also, their utensils still had residue on it and looked like it was never cleaned!! Stick to the plastic utensils if you go. This location seems to be having some trouble staying fully staffed. The last time we visited there was a dreadfully long wait time and quite a lot of drama from other customers. At least one family got up to leave after not getting their order taken for twenty minutes. We waited just as long but we're in no hurry -- bad nights happen and eating out at dinnertime on a Saturday is always a gamble, service-wise. That said: the food at this location is still head and shoulders above the inedible stuff often served at the Denny's on Wolf Rd. Granted, it's still a chain diner and nothing to write home about, but at least you probably won't get food poisoning!!! Not a good choice for busy weekends: the service stinks when it's busy... But late at night or during the week: the food's pretty good and it doesn't get much cheaper. read more

Went in for my free meal on Veterans Day with my family. Food was standard Denny's fare but the service was very slow as they seemed grossly understaffed. My wife went to pay for hers and kids meals and the manger refused to give the discount for my veterans special. His reasoning was that my proof of service was a PDF on my phone and not an actual paper form. I have had a veterans meal at Denny's for the past several years and this is the first manager to ever request the form on paper vs electronic. He relented when the line of veterans waiting for a table agreed with us as well. Long story short food was fine, but this location is so poorly staffed and managed that I will not be returning, even for a meal that is free! read more

The food was always exactly what you'd expect from a Denny's. Unfortunately, they aren't staffed very well at night, which leads to a long wait. I've been to countless Denny's Restaurants around the world and I always wonder what makes this one stand out in particular, the service sucks to be completely honest. The food tastes just about like every other Denny's, usually pretty packed with intoxicated teenagers during the late hours of the weekend, and that's about it. Nothing special, nothing unique. Just understand where you are going to be placing yourself in. I wouldn't recommend this for a family with children. I wouldn't recommend if you snagged a few bucks and wanted a nice meal. This was the first time I ever ate at a Denny's. I had the supreme skillet, the signature diner coffee w/ scramble eggs n cheese. It was awesome. I'm definitely going back. I have eaten at this Denny's (in Schenectady, NY) several times and ordered their food through Grub Hub several times as well. I have had a positive experience every time. The food was great, the order was correct, and the deliveries from Grub Hub were always on time. It's my favorite place to order lunch from when I'm at work. Oh Denny's, I know you are cheap, I know you are a chain, I know that your food is only "food", but I still expect some level of service that doesn't include being lied to. I ordered a simple chicken and avocado sandwich. Nothing spectacular, nothing complicated. I got the sandwich and took a bite. Not bad, I took another bite, hmm, I opened the bun, no avocado. I tell the waitress, who seemed genuinely surprised, she goes off to talk to the cook. She comes back a few minutes later and tells me that the cook said they were out of avocados. So, the cook decided to send out food that was missing one of the two main ingredients and just pretend like it was there? Just slide it in there and hope I don't notice? Then I was told that maybe they did have some in the back, so I sat and waited, and waited and waited. And, no, they had no avocados. Oh, the manager came over and tried to make it out like he was at fault for not buying enough avocados, and that it wasn't the cooks fault for sending out food he knew wasn't right. They offered to make me something else, but at that point everyone else in my family had already finished their meals. My kids got a free dessert, so I give them points for trying to fix the mess, but there was no apology for knowingly giving me food I didn't order and trying to just pretend it was right. read more

Big issue is fruit flies cannot get through a meal without trying to keep them out of the food and drinks. Another issue is while I was in the restroom waiting to use it a waitress came out of the stall and DID NOT wash her hands, very unsanitary. One cook and on waitress are very friendly and great service. But the other really should not be in this type of job as they have been rude to customers. Ok I know it's a Denny's and my expectations should be low - but this was horrible. I don't even know where to start... On both occasions I've been to this Denny's it was around 11 o'clock in the evening and on both occasions both of my servers (one a male one a female) had their cell phones in their aprons and it was going off! Not just buzzing, it was loudly playing some ghetto music! I stopped giving the waitress my order thinking maybe she would turn it off. But she didn't, she proceeded to take our order like there was nothing wrong with it. This then happened again on my second visit with our male server. I could not believe what I was witnessing. There was also a little bug floating around in my creamer, when I showed the waitress she brought me what I thought was a whole new creamer container until after using it we found yet another bug!
