I have had mixed experiences here, I come often because I am always hungry and I tend to come late at night because it's the only place open. Sometimes it's good sometimes it could be better. Milkshakes are always 100% amazing, but service could be better. Maybe they are training new staff which I understand. But tonight I didn't like the service, the server never brought me my panookie even though I asked for it to come out at the same time as all the other food, not as dessert. Horrible service, gave me my food 30 minutes after the pickup time. The Manager is unprofessional and and yelled at my husband when we requested a refund. She refused to give her name and we were told her name is Elvira, the manner she spoke was hateful and threatening as if she were on the street and not in a family diner. Denny's please do better have better training and no more false advertising, if you can't fulfill an in order in 20 minutes don't take my money and say you can. This Denny's is what you would expect from any Denny's. The food was good. The service was whatever's waitress had a little attitude being expressed but this is about the food. I ordered the honey jalapeño bacon slam. Bacon had nice flavor. It's reads as premium thick cut bacon compared to the regular bacon all other plates have. It is thicker but otherwise not much difference besides the flavor. I thought it would be much larger. You can compare the bacons in my pictures. Overall good read more

I've had a couple of long-delay experiences in other Denny's, so wasn't expecting much when we stopped enroute to San Jose from Solvang on a Sunday evening. My family & were hungry on our way down from a fun morning at Point Lobos State Reserve in Carmel. It took awhile to be seated because the manager was taking payments & she said staff had to take their breaks. But our waitress was nice & cheerful. We ordered: the super bird, the grand slam, chicken fried steak, kids mac & cheese & a milkshake. It's what we usually order in our area & it tasted just as well here. When you walk in the place you are greeted and then seated. You are seated for awhile until someone comes to take your drink orders! We waited 10 minutes till someone came over to take our drink orders. While we were waiting I went to the bathroom and it just stank! They place was a mess in the bathroom! The floors were a mess. Meh! I haven't been to a Denny's in a very long time; so to be honest I didn't know what to expect. I guess I wanted to be brought back to my childhood eating out with my family on a Sunday morning. Overall Denny's was A-Ok. The restaurant was clean our server was polite and attentive. We were seated fairly quickly. So why the three stars you may ask... Well... When you go out to eat you expect great food. We honestly didn't receive that. I ordered the so called "Crazy Spicy Skillet" there was no spiciness to that dish what so ever. I felt cheated; the potatoes had to be from a bag (frozen) the veggies tasted the same (from a bag) and yup! you guessed it, the chicken, from a bag. Nothing on that plate tasted fresh. Well; except for my toast. lol. Which by the way I had to pay extra for. My lady got the Super Bird. I'm not gonna knock the Bird only because how can you possibly get a deli sandwich to taste bad. So I'm not gonna hate on it because it tasted well. Good flavor not bad but not great. However; those fries... what a shocker... from a bag. Overall, Denny's here and I feel it's safe to assume all Denny's elsewhere use frozen bagged food for their cooking. My recommendation to those who want to eat at a Denny's. DON'T! Do not come here. Worst Denny's EVER. We waited 25 minutes to get our food, even though there were only two other tables seated in the entire place. Then when she brought it out, one of the orders was completely wrong. As in - we ordered something off the breakfast menu and they brought a burger. Then after another 10 minutes they brought out the correct meal, but gave us ham instead of sausage like we had asked for. Also forgot the pancakes. Another 15 minutes goes by and we are about done eating our entire meal and she asks if we got our pancakes yet. She yells back to the kitchen about the pancakes another 3-4 times before we finally tell them we just want the check and want to leave. Drinks had been empty, needed refills for awhile. We watched two couples come in and stand around waiting to be seated before finally deciding to just leave and go somewhere else. Service was fine but the manager was rude and so unprofessional I have the new AARP cards which now come without a code on the back but it still has the membership number which I know can be put in manually. instead of even trying to be helpful or do her job all she said is "if you have a problem with it call the number there call my manager and let her know" it literally took nothing from her part to type it in.
