We came in to a semi busy restaurant. We were seated after about 10 minutes and ordered . We got our food and it was colder than straight out the freezer . My mom took a bit of her chicken wing to see one thing . Blood . We called the waiter and she took them to the kitchen and they said "we must've forgotten " how do you forget to cook the food ??? How ?? They gave us our money back and the waitress gave us an apology we didn't need from her she was amazing she kept apologizing for someone else's mistake. It has been years since I've been to a Dennys and never in this one in Sullivan. My church brother and I stopped by after our men's breakfast for a second breakfast and some extended fellowship. The place was semi busy with only two young ladies working the main section but they were moving fast. Not a long wait, maybe 3 minutes, to get seated and drinks were served quickly. The food was served hot, which sometimes doesn't happen when places are under staffed. Our coffee cups stayed full, and that is a full time job, and our server, Cami, always had a smile. Again the place was clean and both women bussed the tables right away so there was never a dirty table sitting. We sat there over 2 hours enjoying the fellowship and they were nice the entire time. First... The city needs progress... Thise blacked out street lights are a dangerous joke. Good luck with that. Second.. That poor, tired, tattooed girl that works at this hellhole is a great person. Had French toast slam I asked for eggs over medium no bacon ,I got undercooked eggs. I couldn't even eat, 4 PCs of barely warm more like cold sausage didn't look like it even hit the griddle and soggy French toast! I had the strawberry stuffed French toast. It was really good. The only thing that would have made it better is if they used fresh strawberries instead of frozen. Absolutely terrible service and food. It's not that hard to be prompt and organized but apparently it is here. It's very apparent they don't know how to cook either. Waited 10 minutes just to get our drinks. Waited 20 minutes to get our orders and there were only 2 other tables with just one person each! The quality of the food was disgusting. Mac and cheese for the kids looked like it came out of a generic brand version of Kraft. The other meals were overgreased, overseasoned, overcooked. Only the omelette was decent. Well have been here before but didn't review. So here it goes. 10 am ordered g after our showers and fueling. Headed to Tulsa for tonite. So this is our only stop. I ordered the pumpkin pancakes breakfast. Found out it's their LAST day. But I see it as my lucky day. I really like them. Denny's has great pancakes ever since they changed their recipe a few yrs back. And the pumpkin schmear they put on us t too sweet or too much. Just right said mama bear. Got my sunny side up eggies n bacon. Yum yum Bf ordered of course a prime rib Cobb. He has been into salads lately. I should start following suit prob... but I like breakfast for breakfast. Food was great and Alyssa was working her butt off providing great service to what seemed like the entire Restaurant. Place was clean and welcoming for weary travelers such as ourselves. Based on the reviews I was a bit concerned... but it was great! We had an amazing server who was attentive and anticipated our needs - the most impressive thing a server can do in my opinion. And every dish was prepared perfectly and tasted exactly as it should. Note: the crazy vanilla, banana, salted caramel pancakes were delicious - a little over the top perhaps, but oh so yummy! If you have lots of time on your hands, this is the place to go. Me and my Husband drive Truck for a living, so it was great that we had some time to sit down and have dinner. But that wasn't going to happen. I understand that with Staff Shortage and all it can busy Staff. But after sitting for 10 minutes and no one even acknowledging us was too much. The fact that Wait Stuff was more interested in serving customers who came in after us. As drivers, we are always short on time and can wait t around until someone decides to grace us with their presence. When we left I told " Amy" that we had been waiting and we were leaving now. She decided to get snotty , but ok. FYI..if you are shorthanded, maybe you should tell the Constumers that, and we probably would have stayed and enjoyed a meal. read more

All the reviews about this place taking forever are dead on. We were staying at a campground during a heatwave. Even with the nice AC I was about to walk out of here everything took so long. Wasn't even busy. Food was pretty good. But I will never go back here again. I have avoided this restaurant for years and for some reason give it a chance once a year or so. Every. Single. Time. The service takes forever. Forever to get seated, forever to have a server to come take our drink order, forever to bring it, forever for them to take our order and forever for them to bring our order. Tonight, it was a 3 hour process. I've been a server most my life. She wasn't even busy. Manager and everyone was just hanging out in the back. I literally stuck my head in after 25 minutes of being seated just to ask her to take our drink order. I honestly do not understand how this place is still open. Our server was supposed to be a lady by the name of Danielle, however other than writing our order she did nothing. But the other waiter Evan was absolutely fantastic. That young man is a rockstar, and the website leaves me nowhere to inform upper management of how well this gentleman did, but I cannot overstate the job proformence he did, bussing every table in a timely manner, taking care of every guest, you name it this guy did it. The lady who *should* have done all this, no where to be seen other than take the order and disappear. She even took a tip off a table I saw Evan work, so I personally handed him his tip to ensure he was well rewarded for his efforts. Evan if you see this, please be proud of yourself you are an extremely polite and professional, well done and I hope you get the rewards for doing such a great job. The worst service I've had in a very long time. People were standing at the front desk waiting to get seating and no one came. I ended up calling the restaurant and someone in the kitchen answered and I told him there was a line of people upfront who wanted to have a seat. Once I did get seated it took over half an hour for me to get an order in for my dinner. I had to ask a different waitress to take my order because my waitress never came back to get it. The first two things I ordered off the menu they did not have. This would be a great place to open a restaurant. read more
