Got a ham and cheese omelette with hash browns, not the best meal I have had, very greasy including the eggs!

Who ever has ordered this knows that the egg is fluffier and scrambled, there is usually more ham than that. When i told Cindy my waitress that it did not look like it usually comes or even close to how the picture looks. she said it was all proportioned and it was just how they made it. I insisted that the egg in the sandwich was flat with omelet style egg and its usually scrambled which is reason why i like it. She then said who ever made it last time gave me the wrong impression because that is not how denny's makes their sandwiches, i told her i had gotten them before multiple times and she kept insisting who ever made them previously made them wrong that just how i got my sandwich was the way they are supposed to be made. I aslVery untrue and deceiving even if compared with the picture on the menu. She failed to even deliver my hot sauce request or follow up to see if we needed any more drink refills. Never will I step at that location, she made me feel like I was out of my mind, and she even raised her voice in front of other tables. This was a rip-off, a very sad experience. read more

This was the worst Denny's restaurant I have ever dined in. When we were seated, the table was sopping wet and when I asked if it could be wiped dry, the waitress copped an attitude right away. It was all downhill from there. The quality of the food was just O.K, my order was wrong, my wife's portions were smaller, and I had to ask for coffee refills. Unlike the customers behind us, I was not offered a coffee to go or asked if our meal was satisfactory. Do yourself a favor and skip this Denny's when in Traverse City. read more

I have visited on a number of occasions. Each time my order was wrong. For example, I asked for the seasoned fries, and they brought out regular fries. Or I would ask for a certain skillet type and would be given a different order. Either way, my order has never been correct. The wait time is very long, especially considering when I am one of maybe half a dozen patrons on a slow evening. I hear mostly boisterous laughter and crude joking from the kitchen staff. I spoke too soon. The checkout process was horrendous. The girl seemed to have little clue as to what was going on. After waiting 5 minutes for a take out order in front of us the customer came back during our transaction to let the cashier know she was shorted $4. Dined here around 10pm on a Wednesday evening. My Grand Slam Slugger arrived in under 10 minutes--piping hot and perfectly prepared, it was classic Denny's and just plain delicious. The entire wait staff all seemed inexperienced and my coffee didn't get a single warm-up, which was a disappointment. Hopefully the wait staff gets better as time goes on. Still, I'm glad we have a 24-hour dine-in restaurant again, which we've missed since the dreadful old Clock closed its doors. read more

I am utterly disgusted with this so called Denny's. First of all, I could of gotten quicker service from volunteers at a nursing home. This was a two-hour affair for a simple meal and the restaurant wasn't even full. Second of all, the lamps are way too low and exposed-- I hit my head on one getting up and I was so embarrassed, I couldn't even eat my cold, shriveled up meal. Last but not least, this establishment left me with a dump in da pants. If you are looking for a quick meal, and have a long drive ahead, I would suggest not eating here. read more

So to start we have seen all the bad reviews about this dennys, but because i like to give places a try and because i do like dennys, i was willing to try it. So tonight, at around 12:00, my wife, a friend, and i, went in to grab some dinnner to go. My friend got pancakes, eggs with cheese and hashbrowns. My wife, potato skins, and i got the tilapia with chedder potatos, broccoli, garlic bread, and breaded shrimp. (We wanted soup also but they stop selling that at 10. Now by the time we get our order in and ot paod for its been maybe 10 mins. This means our order was placed at 12:10, amd currently there are 2 other tables. We sit and wait patiently, (side note: i am a type one diabetic and at this point after workibg all day myself, my suger was dropping.) 2 more tables show up within the next 10 mins. Ok no biggy, then about 30 mins into the wait the 2 tables that order AFTER us got there food. We waited some more, now irritated. We start complaining (the managers sitting right next to us). Its now 1 am and i feel crappy, we are all hungry and we still have no food. Finally at about 1:10 ( 1 hr after we placed order), we get our food. The food was dry, cold, and the order wasnt correct. This is probably one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite. The service can be a little bit slow at times especially since the school year is starting! The place is fairly clean with minor dirt and grime. The bathrooms are almost never dirty and the restaurant itself is clean as well. The restaurant is usually busy so service can be a tad slow but certain waiters keep you in the loop! The food is spectacularly good and delicious, and if your looking for a good burger, or a place to grab a bite then I highly recommend Denny's! I was at a movie with my friend and it ended late and we were planning on having dinner afterwards. We drove down the road and came upon a Denny's and decided to stop there. Keep in mind it was a few minutes before midnight so we weren't sure if they would be open or not. They were open and sure enough we got the same friendly service we would have gotten during the day! This place is also family friendly!! I enjoy my time here every chance I get to go here! 10/10 Love you Denny's!! Today our servers name was Ryan and he was always keeping us in the loop and he was very friendly and kind! I've always loved Denny's and went there specially for the greasy food but today when I went in there expecting the food I was always served my food was less than good. I ordered hash browns and bacon with pancakes and my fiancé ordered an omelette with hash browns. For starters my hash browns were old and very over cooked. They were rock hard and so so cold. I'm not one to complain so i didn't say anything and just ate them. The bacon was so over cooked and cold once again. It was disgusting. The pancakes were fine besides a little soggy after they sat for a bit. My finance ordered an omelet that came with peppers and cheese and that's it. It showed up with mushrooms everywhere which he hates and asked to get a new one. Our waitress brought it back without the mushroom visible but underneath there was still mushrooms and the cheese wasn't even melted, he barely ate it because it was so gross. He use to come there all the time and order that same omelet and he was disappointed to say the least. His hash browns were the same. Cold and over cooked, barely edible. I love Denny's, I'm use to only eating at an ihop but I went to the next best thing up here in traverse city and never been disappointed until today. We paid over $30 for a meal we barely ate because it was so poorly cooked. Again I'm not one to complain or ask for a discount so I didn't and decided to write a review instead in case they see it. Our waitress was wonderful, very attentive and catered to our needs. None of it was her fault and she deserved a tip so of course we still tipped her the correct amount but hoping they can get one better cooks. I probably won't be back only because I don't know if it'll get better and now will have to find a new breakfast place unfortunately. Not to mention I understand low staffing issues right now in traverse city but they switched from 24/7 to 7-3 and that's frustrating for some of us that want breakfast late at night instead of in the morning. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I'm not one to complain about service because I work in 3 restaurants, however the service provided here on a slow Monday night was less than close to satisfactory. My bf and I thought it would be cool to try something new, and breakfast sounded good for dinner. It took almost a half an hour to get our food, and the lady came back three times to check on us and our WATER. When we received our pancakes and hash browns, he got halfway through the potatoes and there was a BLACK CURLY HAIR that made him quit eating. When told about the problem, the waitress was snotty and took the plate to show someone in the back. This also took twenty minutes. We got a discount of three dollars. THREE DOLLARS OFF?! We went to Denny's in Traverse City on friday the 18th around 9pm . We stood in front of the wait to be seated sign 15-20 minutes. Hostess walked past my wife and I as well as 3 other people waiting to be seated and never said a word to any of us. As she was cashing out customers the manager came up to the register and proceeded to take care of 3 associates who needed to clock out. He never said a word to any of us standing there either. As i looked around there were tables of people with no food and they were looking around for their wait staff, none to be found. The only person on the floor was a young man running his tail off. As we stood waiting I overheard a customer telling the hostess that they never got some of the items they were charged for. Hostess had a chip on her shoulder, never smiled and the manager was the same. We turned to hostess and said we were leaving and she never even said I'm sorry, so we walked out. Very bad customer service. I will not go back. This is a foodie town and there are so many other great places to eat. Late nite food can be found at Applebee's or Ruby Tuesdays. I challange you to read other reviews of Denny's from any other city and the chain has some major customer service issues, this one is not exempt. read more

seated right away, but table seating was all messed up, and than waited 20 min. for our order to be taken. people were walking out and said they had been waiting for there dinner for an hour. Another table got up and left and told the waitress, they didn't like there food,she got her soup 15 min before her sandwich. She said her sandwich tasted weird. It took two tries to get his dinner right, and he just said forget and they left with out paying there bill. some of the other customers were complaining about there orders and there wait time.
