Took the day off work, which I can't really afford, because I'm saving up for my wedding, but, need a nice smile for the photos right? I replied to their confirmation text they sent me the day before that, I WOULD BE THERE! They however, didn't bother to show up. But took the time to print and hang a sign that they'd be closed. THE SAME DAY THEY ASKED ME TO CONFIRM! You won't get me twice.

My daughter was a new patient here, scheduled her an appt back in January.,. They were booking 3 months out... come to the scheduled date in April and turns out they had her no where on the books. Rescheduled again which was yet another 2-3 months out, this time called to confirm along with confirming the confirmation text they sent for her appointment. The night before they rescheduled yet again. Come to the third rescheduled appt this time able to get her within 2 weeks on a Saturday now that school is back in session... once again confirmed on their confirmation text they sent out only for them to call me and say the doctor will be in the Muskegon office and they need to reschedule a 4th time. Wasn't having it so we will be taking our business elsewhere. Terrible customer service!

I have never been so disrespected by someone who truly feels that their title as office manager with blue hair and incredibly shitty attitude is above all else. You are a glorified assistant. I'm disgusted and truly wonder if this dentist and office has taken advantage of numerous patients. Disgusting. Be professional and at least LOOK professional.

MAH Horrible experience…read more I would like to preface this by stating that I have previously had a very positive opinion of Dr. Cohrs personally. I firmly believe his bedside manner, attention to detail, and dental work are truly impeccable, and I appreciated his clinical care during my previous visits over the years. During my most recent visit though, things had changed. I was told by the hygienist, Lyndi, that a panoramic X-ray was "required by law" to maintain their license, with implied risk if refused. No such Michigan law exists--regulations cover equipment safety only, not mandating patient imaging (per LARA-Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Michigan Dental Association). My low-risk profile (excellent hygiene, no cavities in years, healthy gums, recent normal bitewings) showed no clinical need. ADA 2026 guidelines require panoramic only when necessary, to minimize radiation, not routinely. When I raised the issue feeling misled about Timberview losing their license, the hygienist called in the office manager who was beyond rude, defensive, interrupted repeatedly by obscuring and pivoting to "our standard of care," then asked my opinion of their standard. I said it felt revenue-driven rather than evidence-based. She immediately told me to leave. This was gaslighting: obscuring the obvious falsehood with vague "patient care standards" and punishing honest feedback with abrupt dismissal. Deceptive communication and unprofessional handling erode trust. Patients deserve transparency, not pressure and deflection. Unfortunately the unprofessional conduct of the office manager--particularly her repeated interruptions, twisting of the initial misleading statement, dismissive attitude, and abrupt decision to ask me to leave after I shared my honest opinion--has eroded my trust in the practice as a whole. Despite my high regard for Dr. Cohrs' skills and care, this experience will unfortunately prevent me from returning. Perhaps the business/name change to Timberview Dental has caused the business to now become profit driven over patient care driven. Be VERY careful about agreeing to unnecessary procedures that are lining their pockets.

Response "they 'should' reimburse you". I call back (hsb) give my dental insurance details. Again "well (maybe?) they (delta insurance) should reimburse you". I'm swamped with work while calling. I call back later, they say a "word salad" Response if my son's future appointment will be covered. "UH, yes, ah we take insurance, uh, they should reimburse" etc. So I ask what will be the bill. They can give exact amount of what you are billed but, BUT EXPLAIN "you should get reimbursed from insurance company "delta". If you continue to question... you get the same information repeated, OVER AND OVER!!! Then you will be called "rude" because you want to know what's covered, what you have to pay. They don't care. They get sarcastic, condescending, stuff like "you want to speak to Michelle?" "You want me to call delta insurance?" of which they do neither. Then "we won't see you, blah, blah blah. They laugh at you and do NOTHING of what's been asked. Nor do they check with "delta" nor get anyone else to help. They enjoy useless word salad responses that don't help and endless "you're rude!" When they don't help. My suggestion? DON'T GO THERE!!! Save yourself useless FRUSTRATION! If you go there... merely ask "what's this going to cost?". They assume you PAY ALL UP FRONT and "insurance should reimburse". Tell them "YOU WAIT FOR REIMBURSEMENT!". or just go elsewhere for better service.

Dr Shockley is always telling jokes, and all the hygienists, receptionists, and dental technicians are so incredibly friendly and welcoming. They always ask about your kids or your dogs and remember what's going on with your life. They also keep meticulous notes about what's going on with your health and your hygiene. I have overactive nerves and an immunity to Novocaine, and they really baby me here. I used to get nitrous just for getting my teeth cleaned, but they do such a fabulous job here that my anxiety around dentistry has really diminished over the years and I no longer need it. I do still have them numb my gums before my cleaning and use the ultrasonic tool to help avoid uncomfortable poking around with the metal scratcher. The view here is is as incredible as the work they do -- All of the rooms overlook a creek and have busy bird feeders right outside the window. And within the last few years, the menagerie grew to include a super sweet and softy hypoallergenic doggo, Quincy. Not only does Quincy provide some delightful pet therapy, I am encouraged to bring my super snuggly chihuahua for emotional support at my appointments. He always gets tons of snuggles from the staff. I really went through the ringer with the dental difficulties as a youth, and I'm so grateful to have finally found a painless practice that really puts its patients first. They've done a great job with covid protocols here, and I was thrilled to hear that all the staff were able to get vaccines as soon as they became available. I definitely feel super safe here.

I was a bit nervous since I hadn't seen a dentist in 2 years but everyone was kind, compassionate, and kept me informed throughout the visit. Pam was thorough but gentle and frequently checked in with me to make sure I was doing ok. They don't rush. They get to know you. They truly care about the health of your mouth and teeth (as well as your comfort). They also listen to you and take your opinions/experiences into consideration. For example, after switching from an expensive, hard nighttime mouth guard (that I found very uncomfortable) to an OTC soft one several years ago, I had two past dentists tell me that the soft ones are virtually useless. Dr. Sarantos told me to keep using it if it's working for me. Finally, they respect your financial situation and don't guilt trip or push services at you-they advise and educate and then leave it up to you. Very impressed!

The only contact with questions about services or trying to negotiate imposed unnecessary services is exclusively through the staff taking phone calls and, repeating, like a broken record, that these are the policies of Dr. Khaghany and nothing will change. In short, her way or the highway. On May 27th, during my regular cleaning services, a small cavity was found by the hygienist and later confirmed after a full mouth X-ray evaluation. Before the X-ray, I was assured that the procedure was necessary and fully covered by my dental insurance. I asked about that not once by twice to make sure my understanding was correct. A surprise came when I was presented with a bill and additional payments. It turned out that four different X-ray pictures were taken but only two were fully covered. A greater surprise came when I wanted to scheduled an appointment to get a needed filing for the tooth with cavity. I was informed that I must take a panoramic X-ray, required every 3 years (?) and pay for that in full before I could get any new service, including the now very much needed filling. There was no way to negotiate to get the filling now and, possibly, the panoramic X-ray before my new October scheduled cleaning. I was denided that which I find very unethical, unprofessional and very wrong. I have to quickly find a new dentist to get very much needed filling now when my cavity keeps deteriorating.
