It's a really interesting place. The good part of them is the most important part which is that the actual service is top notch. Great dentists and staff who are wise, talented, communicative and caring. The bad is you never know when they'll be open. The hours on the door and the hours on their voicemail don't match when they actually are open. Their prices are a little high, but considering that most use them for an urgent after-hours service, they could actually charge higher than they do and get away with it, so it's reasonable they charge just a little more. if you are having urgent issues and can't get to your regular dentist, don't hesitate for a second going to them - if they are actually open. They'll do a good job for you. They certainly did for me. read more

The Wife had a tooth ache and it was getting worse by the hour. It was Saturday and she needed a dentist ASAP. She found DentUrgent and they had an appointment available within two hours and off we went. We arrive and the place is clean and looks professional. We sign in with the receptionist and fill out the necessary paperwork. Everyone is wearing a mask. The assistant comes and calls the Wife in. I ask if I can come and she says yes. So we go in, the Wife is asked to sit in the chair and I'm given a rolly dentist's chair. They get to taking X-rays and I was surprised that their X-ray machine is portable. The camera, which is really the X-ray generator, is cordless. What will they think of next? The X-ray "film" of course is just a sensor that's put in your mouth and then exposed by the X-ray generator. And lickity-split, the images are on the screen for us to see. It turns out that the Wife has an infection and because her lower teeth were pulled earlier in her life, the upper teeth were orphaned and really didn't serve much of a purpose. The dentist suggests pulling the tooth and from the X-rays, the root looks like it might penetrate her sinus and that may require an additional procedure to close it up. He recommends a bone graft to close up the hole the tooth will leave behind. The procedure goes fairly straight forward. The Wife tells them she's not the best patient but if they can explain what is going on, that helps to keep her calm. They begin and everything seems to go just fine except they don't really explain what they're doing and the Wife, unable to close her mouth is trying to signal with her hands to have them tell her what is going on. I'm able to translate, by that time, the tooth is already out and the dentist is busy trying to access the situation as well as get the bone graft in and stop the bleeding. They sew her up and it's pretty much done. All's well that ends well, I suppose. They give us some prescriptions for antibiotics and pain killers, we pay and we're done. They give us some instructions on what to and not to do. They do follow up with phone calls to make sure she's doing well and it's been a little over a week and she regularly forgets that she even had a procedure, so that's great. I would have liked it if their name was UrgDent. I think it's a little more catchy, but oh well, I guess as long as their service is good, the name isn't that important. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Went in on a Sunday. Had a root canal. Tooth remained sore. Went to my dentist 2 weeks later & I was told the dentist didn't get the full nerve from one of the roots. Fast forward 6 months & now the same tooth has a cavity under the filling they sealed the crown with. $2000 later & I have to have treatment redone. When I called to discuss with office staff, I was told they would call me back. That was four days ago and now they're dishing my calls. Nothing is worse than a crown popping out on a Saturday night. I ran to Google and found DentUrgent was open on Sundays. After submitting their online appointment request form, I received a text message Sunday morning to schedule an appointment. The booking & confirmation was all done via text (which made it so easy). The office is nice, the staff and dentist friendly and professional, and they have everything you'd need. I was in and out within 30 -45 mins. I'll be forever grateful to Dr. Jang, as he saved me from an unnecessary root canal. I've been experiencing severe pain from an upper molar and I thought that I had an infection or needed an extraction. Earlier in the day I went to another dentist, who after a hasty exam was all too eager to recommend a root canal. He even quickly ushered in the office manager to discuss payment options! Not being convinced, I decided on a second opinion and found Dr. Jang on yelp, which was the Best decision! Dr. Jang gave me the most thorough tooth and gum exam I've ever had. He checked several times the painful area and said that it doesn't look like I need a root cana. He asked if I grind my teeth (which I do), so he suggested using a mouth guard. After using the mouth guard for a few days the pain has completely disappeared! Thank you Dr. Jang for being such a detailed professional and for asking the right question! Dr. Kwon, saved my life!!! I was in so much pain, I couldn't tell him which tooth were hurting. He was very compassionate and professional. Dr. Kwon performed several test to determined which tooth that was causing the severe pain. He had to do a root canal on a tooth that previous had a root canal 8 months ago by my primary dentist. Dr. Kwon found 5 roots on 1 tooth(weird,I know ) again he saved my life. I highly recommend DentUrgent!! I even made the switch, Dr. Kwon is now my primary dentist. read more

Went in for a dental emergency. I have two bottom molars which have been treated with a root canal, that developed an abscess in the gum area (I have been clenching and grinding my teeth) the doctor immediately suggested I remove both molars. I explained the grinding and the fact I started a cycle of antibiotics to clear the infection which isn't recurring. I then explained that the molar directly on top was extremely sensitive and all of a sudden caused extreme pain and pressure to the point I couldn't touch it with my tongue. I went in crying in excruciating pain, I had to pay out of pocket $200 to have x-rays, my teeth tapped with a metal instrument and to be told the best practice is to remove 3 molars, because the medical evaluation was an infection in the lower molar areas and a POSSIBLE fracture (that was not seen on the X-ray and couldn't be confirmed) on the top molar. As a 35 year old I was not concerned with the money I had already paid in restoration work on my teeth, I was concerned about the fact all they offered was to pull out 3 teeth and the $200 I threw away in the trash for an x ray and 2 prescriptions (a pain killer and antibiotic which I'm already taking). I'm still in pain and now also $200 short. read more

Great Dentist! I had extreme pain due to a tooth needing a root canal. Of course this started on a Friday and my regular dentist could not get me in for an appointment. I called Dent Urgent and they got me in within an hour. Dr Kwon was very patient with me. I have a really bad gag reflex when anything is done with my back teeth. He let me get up, walk around, and regroup before proceeding. He also assessed my other teeth while he was doing the procedure. He is very knowledgeable and an overall great dentist. read more

I called to inquire about the cost of a tooth extraction and implant. My regular dentist requires a very expensive trip to the oral surgeon, so I wanted a second opinion. Within two hours, Dr. Jang and his staff had my questions all answered, my appointment scheduled, had me in the chair, and the procedure completed. I had NO pain whatsoever during the procedure, and minimal pain after. Dr. Jang and his staff took time to go over the next steps in my recovery, and answered all of my questions with patience and care. They contacted me the morning after to make sure I was feeling well, and to make sure I didn't have any problems filling my prescriptions. The price was extremely reasonable, and Dr Jang saved me thousands of dollars! I am so grateful for him! I will be using him for all of my dental emergencies in the future.
