I had a rental car that I didn't buy rental insurance on. And when I came back out to the parking lot, there was some weird dent on the hatchdoor that looked like someone threw a football at my car . Well, I read the good reviews here and rather take a chance on the repair than have the rental car place charge me something crazy. When I got the car back, wow! I knew where the damage was suppose to be but ok I couldn't see it. Thane was super awesome and modest and told me that the repair wasn't perfect to his standards even though I couldn't see anything wrong. He even took out an extra dent that looked like some old hail damage but I didn't see when I took the car from the rental place. He gave me a great price for the amazing work he did. Stopped by to ask about getting a dent fixed (happened in a parking lot when someone let their cart go). When they looked at the dent, they were able to pull most of it out by hand! It is not perfect, but they gave me a very good price if I wanted to repair it. They suggested I go home and look at it again then decide what I wanted to do. No pressure to do any further work. In fact, they said if it was their car, they would not do any further repairs. I would highly recommend any company that is that honest and pressure free. I took my new BMW to Dentworks to have them remove a dent on the left front tire area. I love my vehicle and I was upset that someone dinged me. It wasn't a BIG dent, maybe the size of a quarter, but it was deep with no damage to the paint. But I just couldn't stand looking at it, so I took it to Dentworks to see what they could do. I was VERY impressed with them when I took my car in. We agreed for me to make an appointment a few days away since they said it would take a couple of hours and I couldn't stay. When I picked up my car today I was astounded how good it looked! The dent spanned a "fold" in the metal and I was worried if they could make it look right again. It was perfect, even the "fold" was corrected! They said that they fixed it "99%", but I would say that it's 99.9999% fixed! My car looks brand new again and I found them to be fast, friendly, polite and reasonably priced. I would HIGHLY recommend these guys. read more

HIGHLY recommend Dentworks of Austin!!! Our shiny FIAT was only 4 months old when someone either opened a door REALLY hard on the right front quarter panel(or rammed a shopping cart into it!). Very sad; but not wanting to go the insurance route for a relatively minor cosmetic situation. Dropped by to see what they thought and Thane gave me an estimate of $150...pretty reasonable in my opinion(the dent was just up to the edge of a crease and could have been worse). Made the appointment for today(Good Friday) and I'm glad I did! The work was done in a shorter time span than first estimated and Thane cut the cost by 1/3 !!! I would have taken a pic, but the fender looks just like a new one! After finding a couple of 'dent fixers' on gargle and discovering they had gone out of business, I'm glad I "ran into" Dentworks(actually the FIAT club has met next door at Top Notch Drive In a couple of times...that's when I first noticed Dentworks). the March hail storm got my little SUV so I had been researching for a place to get my car fixed. My hood was hit worse, the roof and a few dings on the sides were not noticable. I went to a body shop and got a lot of grimaces and "aw, this is going to be expensive" with no options or breaking down of what I wanted (hood only). I decided to see what a "paintless" shop might offer and heard a lot of good things about Dentworks on Burnet. It was a completely different experience, very laid back and I did not feel that I was being bent. It was done it one day - since I just got my hood done - for a price that was a huge relief. The best part is that it looks GREAT! Smooth, I cannot see where any of the dents were - I'm truly impressed, with the work and the no attitude attitude from Trey. I promise I'm not an ad! It's just so uncommon for me not to come up against BS, I've become very cynical with everyone, from dentist to vets, so because this was so easy, reasonable and quality, I felt I had to give them their due praise. So many good things I don't know where to start. For me, someone who is very particular about their car, the results were the most important. Dentworks exceeded these expectations not once but twice on two separate cars. They not only were able to see shallow spots that only someone as OCD as me would worry about, they repaired them perfectly. I had been to this location, before, when it was another dent place. At that time, the guy on duty had told me that my dent was too big and I'd need to go to a body shop. He said I was looking at around $1000, or a bit less. I figured, "No way," and lived with the dent. Four years later, I decided to stop back, because many friends had told me that the dent was not a body shop issue. Thane greeted me when I arrived and, after taking a look at the dent, said he could fix it for $200. He gave me an appointment and wrote it on a card. Today, I had the work done----WOW! I had two dents: one a standard door panel ding and the other a not-so-standard top of the fender dent, which was a sharp indentation. Trey was extremely responsive by email and I made an appointment by email. When I arrived, I was told it could take an hour, and 30 minutes later, the work was done and the dents were completely gone. These guys are good. I had a nasty crescent shaped door crease left by a careless driver. It was very close to the gap between the door and the rear quarter panel, and very far away from the nearest point of entry for their tools. It took them a few hours, but the results were perfect. Took my car into Dentworks yesterday after someone backed into my car and left a sizeable dent on the driver's side rear panel (thanks a lot jacka$$ for not leaving a note or anything!). Trey at Dentworks looked it over, and he said he thought he could take care of it (not all dents can be fixed using this method, but certainly many can). They were pretty busy right then (lots of customers is a GOOD sign), and I didn't have a way to leave my car there for a long time, i.e. I didn't have a ride. So Trey said to call him back a few hours later around 2PM to see if he could fit me in before the end of the day and get me back my car by closing time. I called, he said bring it on in, I dropped my car off, walked to the nearby Slotchskies for some wi-fi, and 2 hours later I got a call to come pick my car up. They did an AWESOME job for WAY less than what I would have had to pay an old school body shop, and they did it for a very reasonable price. I know these guys have plenty of great reviews, but I am doing this anyway because they did such a great job. I had a few minor door dings, then got a HUGE one last week, which was the log that broke the camels' back. Thane estimated $150 for the big ding which was right on a ridge, then a total of $250 to do them all. I was able to get it scheduled for two days later and I just picked it up. The work was great, AND they reduced the price to $200 because it didn't take as long as they had estimated. Now that deserves 5 stars. I still have some clear coat scraped off (they don't do paint) from the big ding, but now that the dent is out, it is not noticeable at all. Hey, Austin drivers! Don't just let your car door swing out of control! Please! I don't want to go through this again, but at least I now have somewhere great to take it if I do. read more
