I pass this place every day on my way home from work and it always looked so small that I didn't even think of it when I needed my Subaru Crosstreks CVT serviced - but don't let the size of the storefront fool you! They were the only ones in VTA I could find that were willing to do it. Their words when I told them that, "yeah, we take on all the complicated stuff that no one else in town is willing to do". I recently found this auto repair shop when I needed my oil changed. I asked about the price to have my tires rotated as well. I took my truck in for some problems w my AC. Turns out it needed a new AC hose which would have been around $600 all said and done. My wife thought it still made might be under warranty, but I assumed we were passed the warranty date. One of the guys at the shop noticed the carmax sticker from the dealer and took it on themselves to call. Sure enough it was covered by the warranty. I got an I told you so from my wife, but they saved $600, so I guess I deserved it. Definitely made me a customer. And the AC works great now read more

Nothing but GOOD things to say about Dependable Car Care! Felt welcomed the first day I went in, super friendly. They kept me updated with how things were going and didn't do anything I didn't approve of! I have been having issues with my Ford and going back and fourth with the Ford Dealer about fixing the issue but nothing would be done about it plus I was getting charged so many unnecessary fees of things I already knew were wrong with my car! So I called Dependable Car Care hoping I'd finally get good news. Mike at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The guys found exactly what the problem was with No additional fees and helped with a lot of good advice on what to do! Turned out I had an assistance plan that covered a lot of the work and the guys jumped on it right away! Ford was going to have me wait another 2 weeks to be seen when Dependable Car Care was taking care of the problem the same day, yes I had to leave my car with them for a week but it was worth it! Dan ( The owner ) called to give me updates so that was really nice to get some reassurance. It's now 3 weeks later and my car is running just fine & even better than ever actually. I've been coming to Dependable Car Care since moving to Ventura in 2013 when I had them do a complete engine rebuild on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. I was so happy with the service, price, and quality of work that they are now my shop for regular maintenance as well as any problems with my vehicles that may occur. Dan has always done what he says he'll do and and let's me know when the job will be finished. He has never failed to live up to any projected times. All the guys at Dependable are skilled and honest. If something doesn't need to be done immediately they will make you aware of the problem and let you know how long before it becomes absolutely necessary to perform that work. They even picked up my girlfriend and took her to work when her car was in for service. They are, how should I say it, dependable! I went in to check out this place since it was on Axxess Card. Mike and Big Mike greeted me immediately and asked what services I was interested in. Being that I bought the car second hand, I knew I needed to take care of the basics first. I went for the oil/lube service and they offered me a few choices. The one I chose came with extended warranties which helped make my decision. I want to have security of something failing in the future. They saw that my windshield wipers were dead and I totally agree as I couldn't see through my windows at times and had to manually wipe them down. So, they replaced them at a reasonable cost. I've been to other repair shops and they have let me down, after spending good money at their shop. I hope to do the 60k service with them soon and it is as professional and pleasant as it was on the first try. The owner even came out to say hello and offer a handshake, you know like in the olden days. I had a horrific experience at Ocean Honda of Ventura and will never return. Spoke with Dan today, apparently the motor that runs the regulator was replaced and not the regulator itself. I let him know I appreciated the work that was done on my other vehicles, however, after seeing this incident turn out the way it did with this inifiniti of mine. I did not want to take the chance to allow them to correct this issue. Dan let me know that he would credit me toward a future job after I bring in the work order for the new regulator I had installed. This was an isolated incident and I appreciate the effort Dan made by calling me and letting me know of my inaccuracies in my review. I am still disappointed as I paid around $800 for this window motor from Dependable Car Care and it did not operate functionally and as a result of the window being pulled up manually there is now a vertical scratch that has been on my drivers side window for the last 3 1/2 years. Furthermore, I was unwilling to pay for further diagnostics for this car and give them that 2nd chance to correct this issue. After pricing around I got my window motor and regulator replaced for $190 elsewhere. Being that the other work on my cars was indeed adequate, I find leaving a one star review was truly unfair and I am now raising that to two, thank you again for calling me Dan. Dan and his team are consistently fair and honest, and their rates are similar (if a tad higher, that accounts for their exceptional warranty and paying their employees fairly) to the competition, and believe me, I have done a lot of research. Dan will carefully explain, taking all the time you need to understand, the reason for a suggested repair. We have been taking our Subaru Baja and Toyota Prius to Dan for several years now. Only complaint, and it's minor since it allows the crew to have a life outside work, is that they're not open on the weekend. read more

All the guys at Dependable Car Care were very prompt on service. After having a major oil leak and timing issue fixed I had experienced an engine problem after leaving DCC but Charles and Dan got the car back in the shop ASAP. Not even two hours later they found the issue and put everything back together. I was impressed with how fast it was and no extra charge of course.
