Just the same as the other negative comments here. Took a week in a half for a tech to be scheduled after they were told what was wrong with the dryer and model number included. Shipping took 2 days and another week for the tech to be scheduled. I couldn't wait 3 weeks for a dryer to be fixed so I replaced the parts myself. They are now calling demanding the rest of the payment for the unfinished job. This is not how you run a successful business!!! SCAM OF A COMPANY! Also, after telling the tech that the washer worked and sounded fine, he insisted on running a diagnostic which was him staring into the washer for 10 minutes while it ran. He then proceeded to tell me that it looks fine. No S H I T ! I did not approve you staring for 10 minutes at the cost of $70. If I have access to the same parts that you claim are $50...you might want to choose a different supplier when Amazon has the same OEM part for $6. What a shame. read more

This company will rip you off. Please be very carefull before you hire them. I call them to fix my freezer, tecnician Mr. Richard was okay with me but what he did was not acceptable. Without providing me any verbal or written estimate, he fixed the problem and after worked he was telling me $705.00. I was shocked. I was not prepared to spent that amount of money for this old freezer. If he would tell me the estimate I would ask him, no thank you. I would have to loss $119 The lady from the company charged me $119.00 before sending the tecnician. I have to provide her the credit card information ( this is the first step to get your credit card information so they can charge you whatever they think they should ) Anyway I told Richard that is too much for this little work. he called this comapny and the lady ( most posibility the same one ) start speaking with me and offered me $86.00 discount. I already had a 10% off coupon. She told me when I first called, $119 will be apply (credited ) to the work invoice if I agree with the estimate. I never get an estimate. She did not credited $119 to the final invoice. I had to pay them $619.00 Almost 27 days later I called them that freezer is not working right , she sent the same tecnician, I told him in the very begaining when he walked in, I am not going to spend a single penny for this anymore. You already took my $619.00 He said nothing wrong with his workd ( he spent just about 3 monutes to veryfy his work he completyed on 02/08/2023) and his company send him because company beleive it was his lack of work . I hired them to fix my ice maker, and they completely failed. The guy came five times, replaced multiple parts, charged me a fortune, and never fixed the icemaker. Moreover, he turned off the water to the house and opened the taps to drain out the water, and then left the basement faucet on after he turned the water back on. I didn't realize it for 24 hours, and it caused a big problem. When I called to complain, they were totally useless. Don't hire them! read more

I had an appointment scheduled with them for 1/9/18. First off, they give a 4 hour window, this one was 10-2, for which I had to leave work to be home for the entire window as they will not give a 30 minute advance call. Second, they never called, I called them at 1:45pm asking if they were still coming, the service lady said yes, "you should be getting a call shortly from Josh" at 3:50 I still had not received any call, so I called and cancelled. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a "Service" company. It is UnDependable! This company serviced our two shipping container cooling units. They were very responsive and did a good job. 6 months later one of the units failed and required a repair. I called them and they came out, charged me $150 for the visit and explained they would need to work with the engineer before making the repair. A few days later I received a call from the technician who asked, "Did you ever get someone to repair your unit?" No, I was waiting for you to speak to engineer and problem solve. He returned the next day and told me he lacked the right fittings, yadda yadda, he couldn't repair it but he would send me the contact of a tech who could. I never received that call. I phoned the office, the woman I spoke with said "I'll track down what is going on and call you back." I called the engineer myself and he explained he had spoken with the tech and told him how to repair the unit and he was surprised it was not repaired. Two weeks out and still no functioning unit. The office never followed up from that call either. I called another company, they were out the next day and the unit was repaired quickly. No song and dance about how hard it was to repair This unit has been up and running for several days now with no issues. Dependable?!?!?! I think not. Dependable companies return phone calls and follow through with promises. We paid $300 for excuses, frustrations, stress, and no repair. The manufacturer was able to get me an appointment a couple days after I called, but these guys called me and decided they wanted to order parts without looking at my dishwasher. When they called to reschedule the next appointment was 3 weeks out. Then they called to reschedule that one for 3 more weeks out. I've used them to repair my Miele dishwasher a few times. I bought it in 2008 and had no problems for years. Then a few years ago, there was a problem and I called this company (they were referred by Miele) and I was happy with the repair. Then, within the last year, they came out and repaired a leak, but I was left with part of my hardwood floor cupping...and then, recently, I had another issue. The tech came out, diagnosed the problem (for $90) and said it was a part of the motor that was so expensive to replace and repair that I would be better off replacing the dishwasher. On the plus side, he helped me find another, cheaper dishwasher online that I ordered, which would be delivered in about a week. I thought all was fine when he left, because he told me he had disconnected my Miele for make it easier for the installation. So I washed dishes by hand while waiting for the new dishwasher. NO - things weren't fine, because this tech left the old dishwasher connected to my sink/disposal line, and though I did not use my disposal, foul water keeps building up in the bottom of my (disconnected) dishwasher, threatening to overflow, and the smell is horrific. So, I called back to see if he or someone else could come out to fix that - an issue I didn't have before he came this last time, so he caused it - and they said that someone could come the next day between 1 and 6. I said I could be here from 3 to 6, but that didn't work for them (because they want to avoid traffic?), and they offered to come the next day, but that didn't work for me. I waited a day, hoping the situation would stay the same and I could just wait for the new dishwasher to come so the installer could rectify this, but NO - the situation intensified into an emergency. So I called this company again and explained, but because of their "scheduling issues" and being overbooked, they couldn't come until 5 days from now, which is when the new dishwasher will be installed. In short, this company left me with a mess which they caused, and they will not take the time to send someone out to take care of it. I won't be using them again. read more

Dependable Services is one of the local service contractors for Whirlpool. When my ice dispenser broke, Whirlpool referred me to these guys. True to their name, they are indeed pretty dependable. My ice dispenser actually broke well after my refrigerator's warranty expired. The technician from Dependable took a look at the problem and told me to try and convince Whirlpool to pay for the damages (parts and labor) since it's a defect he's seen over and over. So after a couple hours and talking to four different people at Whirlpool, I was able to get the job done for free, paid for by Whirlpool. The repair job itself performed by Dependable was good. The technician from Dependable was professional and courteous and the lady I spoke to on the phone was nice as well. read more

I had been using them for 5 years to provide twice yearly tune-ups. All was fine with that until I needed actual service. Unfortunately for me this was on weekend with 90+ degree temperatures, so I was stuck. While I knew what the main problem was (bad Capacitor), I had no ability to get one. Dependable charged me $260 (and this was with my 15% discount) for a $56 part that was changed in 10 minutes. There was also a weekend service fee, which I was fully expecting to pay. I'm sorry, I realize you have to pay insurance, and fuel and all of those things, but 6x is an unreasonable markup by anyone's standards. I won't be using them again. read more

I put too much stock in the fact that this company was a TrustDale company, I won't let that happen again. I'm still trying to understand how a company that comes to my home for a scheduled appointment with my Maytag washing machine doesn't come prepared to do any actual work nor do they have the necessary parts. Why wouldn't a service truck have the rubber hoses parts for the Maytag washing machine that you're scheduled to repair. Terrible. My stackable washer and drier are under warranty, came out once and changed the belt on the drier. 2 days later the washer and drier both stopped working again. I reached out to them to have them come back out, they have cancelled on me 3 times over the past 2 weeks. They call to cancel on the mornings of the days when they were supposed to show up due to different reasons. Tyson looked over the system he said installing the parts would not solve the issue as those parts were working fine. He put the proper gap on the oven igniters and the oven is working properly. I would give them a zero if possible. I purchased a Frigidaire dishwasher from Home Depot in August of this year. 4 days later I discovered that it didn't work properly. That's another story. My brand new dishwasher doesn't clean or dry the dishes. It goes through the cycle and that's all. The first week in October of 2022 Dependable repair assured me that they could fix my dishwasher no problem. A technician He said that the soap dispenser was reason it working properly, totally ignoring the error codes. He ordered the part and returned a week later. He replaced that soap dispenser and was going to leave until a I asked him about the codes. He couldn't clear the codes so he said it's the computer, he ordered the part and left. He was suppose to return a week later, it was 2 later before he returned. I wasn't home when he came, so I told my wife to ask him to make sure that the dishwasher worked before he left and check to make sure that there were no more error codes. He said 20 minutes was to long a wait and left. Of Course, when I started the dishwasher the first thing that popped up was a code and I had the same exact problem that I had before he came to my home. So here it is the end of October and my dishwasher still isn't cleaning or drying the dishes and I'm waiting on Jason to come back to fix it. I will post an update when he returns. read more

I was referred to this company by a family friend. It was absolutely the wrong decision. After having them come out the first time for a diagnosis, it seemed that it would be a relatively smooth repair after the parts were ordered for my refrigerator and dryer. After waiting nearly a month and two additional visits, my dryer still doesn't work and they completely stiffed me for my $150 deposit. I now have to have a new company come out and pay everything all over again. Just get a new unit, don't put yourself through this nonsense. read more

Very disappointed with this company. After over a month for my repair to be completed, the technician did not actually finish the job. My dishwasher still does not work. I called the company to ask that the technician return the following day to finish the repair. I was told they were booked up and he would not be able to return for approximately two weeks. I have used this company for approximately 15 years. I have an annual contract with them for 2 visits per year - one in the spring/early summer for the Air Conditioning systems, one in fall for heating system. All previous visits included complete check of HVAC system - and full cooling system tune up to include check Freon levels, check/calibrate 2 thermostats, complete cleaning of outdoor AC unit, check dryer vents, check and vacuum under 2 refrigerators. Paying $189 for this service was fair, given the amount of work done by previous technicians. Additional charges incurred if Freon added to the system. All fairly priced. 7/2/2018 visit - The technician did not check/calibrate main thermostat, did not know I have a zone system with 2 thermostats; did not check Freon levels - didn't even have proper equipment to do so. I was still charged $189 for "complete service check". When confronted about the services not rendered, technician said "we don't do that". When I talked with local manager and reminded him that all previous bi annual calls included much more than what technician checked - to include a check on current Freon levels as routine component of the visit (and any needed Freon would be additional charge-not a problem); he said, "Well, your air conditioning is cooling isn't it?" I responded yes, but that was not the point. The point is I am being overcharged for services NOT rendered in this alleged service. He made no effort to offer a lower fee for the services NOT rendered during this call. This is very poor customer service. The technician himself is not to blame. He was caught in the middle and was doing what he was told to do by his management. My issue is with the management of this poorly run organization. The local manager seemed un-phased when I stated that I would be seeking a different service organization for all future work and that he had just lost a long-time customer. Dependable HVAC came to our church to check an issue we were having with our air conditioning unit. The man who came out was very limited in knowledge of our unit and had to keep calling his supervisor to ask what to do. His supervisor told him to take out freon and after doing that he told me it was a bad fan motor. He said it would be 832.00 to replace the motor. I asked the technician if the unit was under warranty since the air conditioners were fairly new, he said oh no they are out of warranty. He didnt even check, I called the office and asked if there was some discount they could give since it was a church, Karen said she could give us a 150.00 discount which we really appreciated. After 5 days the part came in and the same man came out to install the motor, this time he was just as confused, he worked on taking the motor out for about 15 minutes and then he tried taking off the fan from the motor, he didnt have the right tools or knowledge to do it, he messed around with it for 2 hours and then said he needed to find a mechanic shop around the neighborhood to help him take off the fan, by this time the fan was completely bent up from all his efforts to take it off. He went across the street and the car repair shop took it off for him in just a few minutes. He brings the fan back and puts it on the new motor, installs everything and turns on the unit which starts shaking violently due to the fan being so bent up. He now claims he has to go get a new fan so he leaves and comes back an hour and a half later. He brings the new fan back installs it and the air unit starting working some. He looks at our other unit and says it needs freon so he puts some in. Im asking him the whole time how much it should have and how he would know how much, he says oh its on the sticker on the side of the unit. He fills it up and leaves and says everything is fine. The first service we have for church we turn on both units and they work for a few minutes and start kicking a breaker just like before we called them. I call them again and ask if they can send another repair man other than Johnny. When I look outside its Johnny again! And he says his supervisor is coming to help. Johnny goes to the unit and starts putting his meters on it again and says he cant figure out why its doing it. Finally his supervisor comes over and takes a couple looks at his meter and says oh its just too much freon causing this. He lets out a tons of freon and gets them to the right level and the units work perfectly. So now I ask, it was doing the same thing when i called you initially, are you sure it was even the motor? The supervisor claims oh yes it can cause that to happen too. I start asking him about the poor efforts of the first guy and the subject of the warranty from the motor comes up, he says oh ya its under warranty he called and verified it while i was standing there. So now I'm saying wait a minute if the part was warranted shouldn't i get a refund because I paid for the part and installation of the new one already. He says I think you should. So he calls Karen at the office who tells me they can only give back a little over 200.00 I said I don't think thats fair first of all i don't think it even needed a motor, secondly I believe I shouldn't have to pay for something that was in warranty. From the techs own mouth he says he only worked on it for 2 hours she was charging me 4 hours labor. I told them I would go ahead and allow them to charge me everything but I really wanted to have 400.00 back due to their mistake both the tech and supervisor agreed it was the right thing for them to due, however Karen would only allow 200.00 I asked to have her talk to the owner and get back to me about giving 400.00 back she said she would. 3 weeks pass by and I didnt hear a word....today I called and Karen says oh didnt you get my message we tried to get the part warrantied and they said they couldn't warranty it. So i GET NOTHING. I WOULD STRONLY SAY, DONT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Very disappointed. We'd been customers of this company for 2+ years and recently service declined terribly. Our very old A/C broke at the beginning of the summer and Steve quoted us $1700 to fix it. That seemed high so we got a few second opinions who told us that it should be a few hundred dollars BUT they didn't have the skill/part needed for such an old unit. So I called the office and Karen assured me it was a fair price as this was actually a very involved repair that would take 2-3 hours and required taking the whole thing apart. Based on our good past relationship with them, we trusted that and agreed to move forward. We can't afford a new system at this time - very expensive project due to the way our place was built. The repair took 10 mins and our A/C broke again in 2 weeks. My husband felt bamboozled so he contested the charge. The manager at Dependable was enraged that we contested the charge (though I called and explained our POV once we realized the repair only took 10 mins and the A/C broke again). The manager threatened to come and rip the part off of our A/C unit and refused us any more repair service until my husband removed the hold on the payment. Steve came by and did some add'l work for us and my husband removed the hold. It has been over a month and they still have not come to fully fix our unit, they don't return my phone calls. We finally went and bought 2 portable units (which work GREAT, wish we'd thought of this years ago) when it became clear that they wouldn't honor their word. Very disappointing to be treated this way after being a good customer for 2+ years. We plan to look into reporting them to the BBB. read more

Very overpriced and not dependable Our furnace went out on Friday afternoon when the high all weekend was supposed to be 30 degrees. We called them and scheduled an appointment for Monday between 8 and noon. The furnace was only 3 years old and under warranty. We pulled the cover off the furnace and read the error code off the motherboard to the technician before he arrive and asked him to make certain he had the parts needed to make the repairs. The technician didn't show up until after 1pm and with no parts, didn't bother to take the cover off and look at the error code himself and was only there 5 minutes. He charged $90 for the service call and said he would need to order the parts and come back in a few days. Temperatures remained in the 20s and 30s all week. When we called a day or two later to find out what was going on after no one had followed up with us they told us it would be $750 for the parts. We explained the furnace was under warranty and all parts should be covered. They told us the parts lady must have made a mistake and she was out sick and they would have to check on it the following day. Eventually they agreed the parts were under warranty and should not cost us anything and said they would have the parts overnighted and perform the repairs the following day, but it would cost $300 to install them. It took one technician 20 minutes to install the parts. What a ripoff. When we asked what their hourly rate for labor was they said they charged a flat-fee on warranty work. I'm sure it's because they don't make a profit on the parts. We'll never use this company again. read more

The technicians are great but how the company manages the repair is awful. Dependable Repair Services diagnosed my problem and I paid them for that service and parts with a deposit for the repair. After chasing them for two months to schedule the repair after they say they had received the parts they never came to do the service. Asking for a refund they were rude and very bad to work with. I had to contact my credit card company for a refund. Do not use them for your repair. If it does not go perfect you will be in for a rude and bad experience . Worst company ever. Placed an online work request order on Saturday. They called me Monday outlining their pricing structure. $86 for the first 1/2 hour and $96 for the following hour kind of pricey but I thought I'd give them a shot. My issues were a reach in cooler with a broken power cord, a walk in cooler with a fan that was not working and a walk in freezer which wasn't keeping temperature. It took the tech over an hour and 15 minutes to tell me what I already knew! That my reach in cooler needed a new cord and my walk in cooler needed a new fan. I couldn't believe they were trying to charge me $150 for something I already knew. So I asked the tech you're charging me $150 to regurgitate what I told you when you first got here? After getting very confrontational with me and getting up in my face he tells me to call the office. It was here I talked to Victoria a "charming" woman who said she was the manager. I asked for a title and she yelled back manager. She was hostile from the beginning and didn't appear to have had any customer service training. I tried to tell her that the repairman basically repeated what I had already told him was the problem and that $150 was too steep. I said I would only pay $86 and she told me I was not in the position to say how much I would pay. This company is a scam. The repairman didn't even know where the condenser unit on my walk in cooler was. He asked me where it was and I asked him politely shouldn't you be telling me where it is? As for the freezer he told me since it was working ok now he couldn't diagnose why the unit wasn't keeping temp. I argued with the "manager" that as an expert he should be able to narrow the problem down to a few things and then check those things to see why the freezer wasn't working properly. It is so hard to find a good commercial refrigeration company in atlanta. The majority of them are dishonest. Dependable happens to be at the top of this list. My builder used crappy Frigidaire appliances, so getting warranty work completed has been a nightmare. The only option in my local area was Dependable Repair Services. A date was scheduled, and canceled, parts (sight unseen) were ordered, another date scheduled - and canceled. A third date was scheduled and the robo calls started, so many that they literally dialed in again while I was listening to one. The techs finally arrive. No shoe covers but they did have face masks on. The very first thing they want done is to sign a "floor waiver". If you refuse to sign, they refuse to do the work. So there is ZERO reason on their end to protect my floors or move the stove responsibly because whatever damage they do, is on me. Since I wasn't offered any options for the warranty repair the 2.5 star review didn't sway my decision, the decision was out of my hands.
