And I wish they would bring back the old rolls because these are nothing but air and kind of had a stale taste to them. Overall, the food was not that great, but the service was excellent and our waitress was really nice as for a lot of the other employees who work there.

It's clean, neat, well laid out and comfortable. I ordered a burger and fries, and water. The burger was excellent. It is a totally different animal from a Big Mac and is, in my opinion, a better burger by far. The fries appeared to be cut a little thicker than those in Maccas, and this suits me. So to the staff. As with McDonalds, it seems the old days when the staff comprised happy little kids earning pocket money, have disappeared into the ether. Mostly the Burger King's staff is older women, but the service was excellent. My only criticism was of the water. They have a combination drink machine which dispenses all things fluid and drinkable. I guess the lines are dirty, because no matter how often I tried to fill my cup, the water was tinted (probably with Coke syrup) and not clear. This tells me the lines are not cleaned sufficiently often, and I recommend avoiding the drink machine as a result. If the water had been nice, I would have offered four stars and, despite my genuine enjoyment of Maccas (when they get it right), I think my once weekly sortie into fast food will be to Burger King in future.

Which is fine too since who am I to state what is right for a person to look like so whatever. He then proceeds to loudly announce (redundant but I have to use it for emphasis) that he has great news because his car was fixed. Did I mention it was awkwardly loud? Like middle of a movie in theatre shouting loud. Anywho, there were a couple workers in there busting their tail so it was not all that bad but just a weird, awkward, and disconcerting experience. I miss my Spring Hill WH where Frank the Tank ran a ship-shape store.

Everyone in Springfield will recommend this restaurant, so i thought I'd give it another try. I ordered the crabcakes, the lamb, and creme brulee. If the crabcakes actually had any crab in them, it was not visible to me. Not only were they patties of stuffing, the cook pours some slimy white sauce all over them, smothering any remnants of natural flavor in some sour-cream based goo. Then my rack of lamb came out, it was supposed to have a mint crust. The only crust this lamb had was a crust of FREEZER BURN!!! It was supposed to be one of their fresh specials, and this damn thing had been sitting in the freezer so long, it was inedible, but don't worry because it came with a side of honey mustard mint sauce. If that doesn't bother you, it should. This was not a gourmet honey mustard, it was the same crap that your kid dips his chicken nuggets in. Trying to cover up terrible quality with a terrible sauce is low. Finally, I ask my lovely waiter if the creme brulee is made from scratch. He said that it was, just like the ranch dressing (mixing a packet with milk is not what "made from scratch means) but I ordered it. First of all, the creme brulee was cooked under a broiler. That is not how creme brulee is made. Secondly, there were no vanilla beans in the creme brulee. Not one. Everyone knows that creme brulee is not creme brulee unless it is made with vanilla beans. This guy lied straight to my face and sold me vanilla pudding with a broiled crust. It's one thing to have horrible food, it's another thing to train your staff to lie to the customers so much so, that they are actually tricked into thinking the food is even remotely good. If I want a disgusting meal in a loud, crowded restaurant with all frozen, imported ingredients, I'll just save my money and go to McDonald's or Applebee's. The Depot is a disgrace to culinary establishments everywhere. I'm never going back. read more

You can't go wrong with The Depot!!! We live close to Bowling Green, KY home of a 1,000 restaurants and there isn't one there that is even close to being as good. The Crab Cakes are not filled with a bunch of bread crumbs, the Spinach Artichoke dip is full of flavor and the Texas Tails are the most tender flavorful pieces of steak ever. We can never come close to having enough room to eat dessert there but usually get the Chocolate Caboose or Carrot Cake which are both astounding. We usually go late (around 8) so there is hardly ever a wait which makes all of our experiences there even better. Run there now! read more

Food is still not up to par, also not local. Very disappointing. Got the creme brûlée which was hot broiled yogurt. I asked the server if there were vanilla beans, he said yes. He lied. I don't think they get that when they post specials, that they should add pics of their food. Quite like menus, most people like pictures. There are not enough words to describe how much I love this place! The staff are friendly and always smiling. The food is always hot and delicious! The wait is never long. There's a wide variety of entrees to please everyone. If they ever have the Snickers pie as a special, don't pass it up...get it! It's not on the menu all the time.
