    Brisket sandwich with Coleslaw

Desert Grill is a hidden gem! I ordered the brisket, mom got the fish & chips, & my kid the friend chicken sandwich. Everything was so good!! Make sure to get the hush puppies starter

I ordered the veggie wrap. The spinach was slimy , the mushrooms were old and brown! My daughter got the bbq burger and the sauce was a thick paste

I feel like maybe we ordered on a bad night after reading some of the other reviews .. we made an order to go of a cheeseburger with fries, spicy cowboy burger with fries and a kids chicken strip with fries. Good things : it's literally the only place in this town open on Sunday! And the service was fast. Only 10 minutes from the time I called until we picked it up. Things that need work: the food just wasn't good. The actual hamburger patty itself was great which means the burger has potential though. The cheeseburger was bland, I came home and added my own toppings. It literally had one very small piece of lettuce, 1 tiny tomatoes and a sprinkle of 4 diced onions on only one corner of the sandwich. The sauce was minimal and only spread on one tiny part of the burger also. The bun was soggy. There was no flavor. The fries were way undercooked. Just an overall bad meal. As mentioned, I wonder if the cook is just having a bad night or something ... My husband had the same feedback about his meal. My one year old ate her chicken strips pretty well but her fries were also way undercooked. I guess my feedback is overall pretty negative - we may possibly try this place again hoping they just had a bad night, but if it wasn't in my home town I probably would only give 1 star, so take that as you wish ...

An Oasis in the desert! What a surprise to find such a fantastic diner in Panguitch, UT of all places. It's easily overlooked but definitely worth a stop! Just North of Bryce Canyon, it's the perfect place to stop at any time of day. It's reasonably priced and very good. We were a party of 5 and we tried two different versions of the smoked brisket sandwiches, a quesadilla filled with *burnt ends and cheeses, and a crispy chicken topped salad. It was all fantastic! Our waitress Thali was attentive, gracious and helpful. She recommended a sauce she likes to make for the quesadilla when she has one herself. She made it for my daughter's quesadilla and it was AMAZING! Most of us had sides of fries which were battered maybe? Extra good in any case. The rest of us had the mashed potatoes and gravy- also really good. I saw homemade giant cinnamon rolls on the desert menu for $7 which seemed a bit steep but I wanted to try it. Because who doesn't love a good cinnamon roll? We all split one and decided it was well worth it! If you follow my reviews, you'll know that even though I live in CT, I'm from Houston, TX and I'm picky about my bbq. Thali assured me that their meats were actually smoked- (yes, I asked- we are in Utah after all). The brisket was pretty solid and the sauce was tangy. It was especially good for what it was - a bbq sandwich in Panguitch. Overall it was a terrific meal at a reasonable price with great service. We all decided that would definitely return! * Burnt ends are flavorful, intensely caramelized pieces of meat that come from the point end of a smoked brisket. They are typically considered a delicacy in barbecue culture. These crispy, tender chunks of meat are the result of slow-cooking a brisket, then cutting and re-smoking the point end to develop a rich, smoky flavor and a distinctive charred exterior. Burnt ends are often coated in a flavorful sauce and are highly regarded for their unique combination of textures and flavors.

Delicious food close to the tourist spots. This lovely bbq place is run by the nicest little family so bring your patience because good slow cooked meats take time. Call ahead for large groups and they take cash and card. So many people stop here because it's the best food for miles so sit back and relax get ready to enjoy. Tip your servers they are feeding you instead of going out to kayak, hike, or be at the balloon fest today!

The real reason you need to visit this place in sleepy Panguitch, UT is to meet Kam! Kam was so warm, personable, and made our visit memorable. 10/10 for the service. We stopped here before heading into Bryce Canyon. They have an impossible burger on their menu, and the fries were pretty solid! Cute little gift shop in the front entrance too. It was also one of the only places in the city that was open on a Sunday--so thank you for being open! Being from the Midwest, we did not know that so many places in Utah shut down on a Sunday :)

We arrived about 6 and waited about 20 minutes for a very nice booth. We split a pretty good-sized house salad. It was fine. I had the trout with asparagus and sweet potato fries. Fish (lemon pepper and salt) was tasty and perfectly prepared. Asparagus was also perfectly cooked, still a bit of crunch. The fries were too limp but tasted good. My hubs ordered the ribeye. Looked so juicy and charred but was a bit tough. Flavor was great and it was a gigantic 16-oz. portion. Coffee was tasteless, unfortunately. The absolute highlight of the meal was the pie! The apple pie is the best I have ever eaten. The filling contained nice slices of apples, no mushy stuff here. And the crust was incredibly flaky with a bit of sugar baked on top. My husband ordered the cherry pie à la mode and was quite pleased with the pie and two little scoops of ice cream alongside. Nice staff too! This place is popular for a reason. It HAS to be that incredible pie.
