The service was REALLY good. The coffee was amazing! The food was average and left a lot to be desired. The home fries were dry and flavorless. The kielbasa and eggs also both needed salsa and hot sauce to give them flavor. The pancake was huge (about 12 inches) and decent. My friend also ordered the peach cobbler, which was more like yellow cake with fruit baked under it (which I think is how UTAH makes their cobbler because it was our second experience with this). What a gem! The pulled pork sandwich was one of the best I have tried. The BBQ sauce was exceptional and kept me wanting more. The impossible burger was delicious. We were quite surprised by the options given this place is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and informative. The restaurant was extremely busy, and staff short, but we never felt neglected. If there was a delay we were informed. That's all we could ever ask for. Came back to Panguitch hungry at 3pm for late lunch after Red Canyon ride. Impressed by Desert Grill! The decor is unassuming, but don't let that throw you off. Hubby had pulled pork with fries, I had smoked brisket with side salad. BBQ was delicious, they smoke all the meat on site AND make homemade BBQ sauce! They had the food out to us in less than 10min! We were staying in town for a couple of days, it was Sunday night and this was about the only place open so we thought we would give it a chance. Kind of worried when the only person wearing a mask was the person checking you out and none of the servers wearing one. We were seated and don't think it was 6 feet away from other tables. Got our food which was really pretty good but while eating saw them cleaning up other tables. They used the same clothes to clean all the tables, no sanitizer on the tables or seats. Without big expectations with the only place we found open on Sunday, the desert grill well exceeded expectations. The pulled pork was excellent. We substituted grilled chicken for the burger on the BBQ burger, and I thought it was very good! Prices are fair and I found the mask adherence pretty good. We stopped by to get coffee relatively early in the morning, the day after Thanksgiving. The only person there was a worker behind the counter, as it looked like they had just opened. He was just so warm and welcoming, it was a great way to start off our day. Can't comment on the food as we did not eat there, but the costumer service was definitely 5 stars! read more

Really good grub in here for sure. Very friendly service. I had a brisket sandwich and a quesadilla. Soup and fried zucchini were also great. Much better menu selection than most places we looked at near Bryce - not just burgers and fries in here. Mask usage was sporadic unfortunately. I think the existing ratings on here are not representative of the quality of the food, especially relative to surrounding options. read more

Desert grill was absolutely amazing!! We were the only ones in there on a Wednesday afternoon and I have no idea why! The brisket and pulled pork sandwiches were amazing. The fries are the best ever. 100% recommend this place for any people traveling through the town. read more

Im giving this a rating of three stars for a few reasons. 1. The first morning we ate here after having breakfast the day before at another restaurant, the breakfast at Desert Grill was delicious. My husband had eggs sausage and hash browns. I ate eggs bacon and country potatoes. They were very good. The waitress was wonderful, laughed and joked with us. We said we would be back. Which leads us to #2. We had diner here about 4, it was nice we were the only 2 in the restaurant. The waitress was very nice also. However like i said we were the only ones there so we heard all conversations. After we got our food. Which now i don't remember what we ate. But it was good. As we were eating our waitress went outside or some place and the other waitress came to help us with any other needs. However it was kind-of annoying hearing the wait staff conversations while you was trying to eat. Oh well not bad. Now we go into #3 Sunday morning. Now I understand being busy but.... They were only restaurant in town open and people were hungry. We walk in the sign says wait to be seated. We stood there waiting and the waitresses were busy taking orders. We still stood waiting patiently its now been maybe 10 minutes and no one even looked our way. There was a young lady sitting at the cash register and didnt help the waitresses at all. So we continued to stand there. Not a person acknowledge us. So we left. Very disappointing after the first experience was wonderful. Not sure if i will return on Sunday morning for sure. I did forget to mention that we went back 3 times before the incident on Sunday. read more

This was so worth the drive over from Bryce Canyon National Park! After a long day of hiking, we were hungry and not disappointed with Desert Grill! The Hog Wild fries app was delish, and the entree brisket and pork combo was incredible! Fast service, friendly staff, wonderful experience! We will be back with friends next time! read more
