Brisket was tender and flavorful, especially if you like a little rendered fat. Ribs were probably a top 2 rib I've had all time. Loved the food, service, atmosphere. Everything about this place. I came here with my boyfriend and our kids after hiking Kanarra Falls. This was the perfect lunch spot. As soon as you walk in, the aroma is incredible. It smells so good. Everyone was very friendly, and I'm honestly surprised this place wasn't busier given how amazing the food is. The pulled pork was tender, and the brisket was absolutely to die for. Even my very picky girls ate until they were full, which says a lot. I would have preferred a roll instead of a slice of bread, but that's just a personal preference. This will definitely be a go-to spot for us whenever we're in town. On a chilly and incredibly windy day last month we stopped at Fire & Smoke on the way to a lovely vacation rental in the area. We were excited to check in, so we ordered our food to go. The restaurant is well decorated inside and out and I especially loved the car hood over the door. They also have a few picnic tables out front if you have your pup with you or just want to eat outside. I ordered a Brisket sandwich with "cheesy potatoes" and my husband ordered their 3 protein and 2 side meal option. He chose brisket, ribs, turkey, mac and cheese and French fries. Be advised some of the items are not included and there will be an upcharge if you select them. The wait for our food was extensive. It took close to 30 minutes for us to get our order and they were not terribly busy. They did make sure to add some pickles, peppers and onions on the side and my husband got us some sauces to try. As for the food itself, my husband really enjoyed the ribs. The brisket was good by itself and in my sandwich, once I dressed it up a bit. The turkey was plain, as turkey is but we found the fries soggy and the mac and cheese a bit dry. That being said, had they been open during the week, I would have driven back here every day to order their "cheesy potatoes". The moment I dug into them, it felt like home. I told my husband they took me back to my childhood...they taste exactly like the potatoes my grandmother used to make. Delicious nostalgia in a cup. I would recommend coming here, if for no other reason but to try those potatoes. We will definitely stop again next time we are in the area. read more

Amazing place if you're looking for a hometown vibe with yummy food. Micheal was very inviting and super helpful. He showed us where our Airbnb was as we were visiting and lost. The bbq was top notch a great variety of bbq sauces to choose from. If you're a vegetarian there are options for us too. French fries seasoning yum! Salads and beans. My friend had the brisket and it had all the fixings like pickled onions and jalapeño pepper. Bathrooms were clean and minimalistic. Definitely a place you don't want to miss. read more

I was on my way to Cedar City had the great fortune to find Fire + Smoke through a Google search. Even though it's somewhat off the beaten path of I-15, it is so worth the drive into town. Firstly, the decor was super cute BBQ vibe. I ordered the rib & brisket platter with a side of Gram's cheesy potatoes, which was recommended by the cashier. It was delish! The brisket had a nice bark on it & was flavorful without being spicy. The ribs had a nice smokey flavor. I had the house sauce on my ribs, but they had 2 other sauces you could try: spicy & mustard. The spicy sauce & jalapeños on the side made for extra heat if that's the kind of BBQ you like. I also loved the pickled veggies that came with the plate. They could have just thrown on a pickle & called it a platter, but they took the time to pickle onions, peppers & actual pickles to round out my meal. I loved it! The only part of my meal that was curious was a lonely slice of white bread. Not toasted, no butter, no garlic, just sandwich bread. My only suggestion would be to either leave it off or offer a piece of cornbread instead. Maybe it's a Utah thing! In that case, my apologies! Lastly I enjoyed their sweet tea with my meal, which hit the spot on this unusually warm May day. Three waitresses came to check on me & all three were lovely to talk to. The best part is, I learned they are opening up another restaurant in Cedar City in 2 weeks!
