Me again! So, we've ordered the same thing from this location atleast 8 weeks in a row every Sunday. Gongura chicken curry and vijayawada boneless biryani... both mild. I kid you not, the consistency of spice and bone in vs bone out has not been there. We ordered our food today ... since it's Sunday.. and I was crying eating. It was so spicy. The gongura chicken had bones this time and my 1 spoon of biryani had atleast 6 red mirchi's. It's really hard to enjoy the food when you can't even eat it! It would have been different if there weren't spice levels offered or if we ordered a hotter spice level.. I really would hate to stop our Sunday ordering tradition due to the lack of consistency so hopefully they can let the chefs know the difference in spice levels! Also, when we first ordered gongura chicken it was green and now it's red.. I was going to give 3 stars but since we went early for breakfast Saturday and they had chai ready at 830, I will give them 4. P.S.S- this location has the nicest staff. We got takeout from here via Uber eats (pickup option ftw!) and had a great experience. The food was ready when we arrived and all was accurately packaged up and ready for the trip home. Indian takeout can be tricky with all the curries, naan, and rice. This location of Chowrastha did a great job. The ambiance is what you'd expect of a fast casual Indian spot in the burbs. We got the chicken tikka masala, gobi 65, pepper chicken, and the navaratan korma. A huge plus of this location is that entrees come with naan and rice. In this day and age of inflation and prices, most places make you choose one which always drives us crazy since we all know white rice costs almost nothing and goes so well with the curries! The food itself was all delicious and tasty. My favorite was the gobi 65. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Super tasty. The pepper chicken was a little light on the chicken side for me (ratio of breading to chicken was too high since the chicken pieces were smaller) but others loved it. The naan was super moist and tasty. They also have several specials and BOGO days posted at the store. Highly recommend checking out this spot if you are in the area! read more

Definitely the absolute worst Indian food I've ever had in my entire life. Literally inedible. Went in and was starred down as if I committed a crime, no greeting, no smile, just a blank stare. I should have walked out at that point. Ordered butter chicken mild, literally said no spice please. The only words the woman at the counter uttered the entire time was, "tap card here," and "it'll be ready in 15." When I got home I tried one bite and not only was it disgusting, it was really spicy. Like overly obviously spicy. Checked the receipt and it said, "mild, no spice." The rice even had a kick to it. I normally love butter chicken but this place makes the nastiest version. Even my boyfriend (who loves spicy foods) said it was disgusting and spit it out. Horrible service and food. read more

As a Houstonian my desi food standards are pretty high. Happy to say this place is up to par. Fresh food, quick service, good location.

Food is all too spicy and oily, service is very slow it took 45 minutes to come out, abience is meh. Only good thing was the naan bread

I was hesitant to try this new restaurant at first after reading so many bad reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken bryiana, and chicken tandoori. The dishes were delicious; I like them mild, and the food was steaming hot. However, I should mention that their process is a bit odd. Each dish you order is ready at separate times instead of all at once. I am sure it can be ready all at once if you request it, and I may do that next time. Food is mostly great! Last two times naan was not up to their usual standard, which I found to be really awesome because it's not chewy but thin and crispy-ish*! Chana Masala, Methi Malai, Tikkas...all tasty. We always treat our guests to Chowrastha when we don't have time to cook and it always satisfies them. Recommend this place. We went for the first time Sunday. There were two other customers in the restaurant. We sat down and waited for someone to bring menus, or tell us to order at the counter, something. This was my first time visiting the Frisco Chowrasta. I ordered the Guntur Kharam dosa, just wow! I never expected the authentic taste but was blown away with the chuntneys and the sambar. Finished it licking my fingers! This is not your usual Indian place serving the same curry as any other place, this place serves very true ethnic Indian food (Andhra Pradesh)I have ever found in USA and you will cry some tears( literally) if you are not used to spicy food! Traveling down US 380 looking for a place to eat and this place caught my eye. Very nice menu with lots of options. They were out of a couple things I wanted but I think that's because they're relatively new. I ended up getting the onion samosas as an appetizer and the butter chicken as an entree. Both were excellent and nice portion sizes. I took half of it home to have later and it was as good reheated as it was in the restaurant. One thing did stand out: The basmati rice was probably the most fragrant version of that rice I've had in any Indian restaurant. Newly opened in prosper an Indian Eatery. Had the food twice here. First Visit : Called them and asked for samosa, they said yes and we drove all the way from Plano for our night cribbing for samosa. Upon reaching they didn't have any samosas. They offered us biryani but biryani i can have it anywhere in Dallas as every desi restaurant is making biryani biryani and biryani (easy poesy). I started to hate biryani now :P Second visit : They had samosa but you wont believe it, they got the samosa patty either from Pat** bro*** or India baz** and it was the most pathetic samosa of my life. Then we thought lets try a dosa which was just average nothing exceptional about it. Finally we cook chicken curry which took longer than a movie to reach to us 55min of wait. Overall, Until i don't get any good reviews I am not wasting my time, energy and money on Chowrastha :) Sitting : you will have to ask a person who is having his food to move aside as they have lots of sitting with so much less space. They dont want any one to wait but everyone to adjust. BAD experience both the time and they need to work on there sitting position and interior if they are offering dine in. So even though i live 30 minutes away from this place I still rather make the drive here when Im craving Indian food instead of the places I have near by because this place is absolutely the best Indian food I've ever had. Got malai kofta and butter chicken very delicious. The rice is really good and has a good flavor. The naan is soft and buttery.

I have been to this new location 4 times and the food has been fantastic each time. We love the Butter Chicken and the Chicken Tikka Masala. This is now our favorite Indian food location. I have done dine in, and now today take out. Give it a dry. You will not be disappointed! read more
