Food and Service are amazing. Had the goat biryani and DT Chicken Curry. Perfect amount of spice for my liking. Garlic Naan was good as always. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a solid meal in or out. 10/10

We were in a rush and didn't have time to eat out or make dinner so we ordered a doordash order from Desi Tavern. We are planning to come in soon but sometimes we like to preview the menu ahead of time with ordering in. We got the fried rice and butter chicken with butter naan. It was so delicious! If you are a fan of authentic Idian cuisine definitely a safe chocie to order!

So glad that this place isn't opened up close to the home! It has so many options and we're so excited to come back and try them. I love that they have Indian snacks for bar bites it really sets them apart from other Indian restaurants. The bartender was so kind and it was obvious that she was really trying to learn the menu and about Indian food since she was not Indian herself. She had such a great attitude and told us that she's working on you drinks for the restaurant.

Exceptional experience! The food was amazing. This evening I tried the DT omelet and Chili Shrimp. Wow, it was delicious. I paired it with a martini. YES.... The service was quick and the ambiance was great. Tonight, DT had Indian Music Night. This was an authentic experience. I highly recommend DT to anybody seeking great food, service, and ambiance.

We've eaten at this place several times, and each time has been great. My favorite is the Chicken Korma with Garlic Naan. Very yummy !!!

One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to anywhere. Great atmosphere and excellent specials such as all you can eat dosas on Thursday night. Their tandoori wings are by far the best chicken you will ever have. They come to the table sizzling in a cast iron platter. Their biryani has great variety and I highly recommend the goat biryani. The paneer here has excellent texture and works well in the saag paneer.

The ambiance of the place is so wonderful! Their service is quick and the waiters were so respectful and friendly, especially Bhanu, Akhil, and Nikhil were really sweet and making sure we got everything we needed. We went there for their unlimited chaat on Wednesday and the samosa chaat was the best, the pani puri reminded me of the one in India. Had to be the best pani puri I've had since I've been here in the US.

    Love the vibe

"Nepalese and Indian food in downtown Raleigh, near Marriott"…read more With a great location, this is VERY close to the Raleigh Convention Center. We arrived on a Thursday night at 6pm with a group of 5. The dining area didn't really accommodate a group that size, but they made it work by moving tables around, which was nice. The place was not very large, but there was maybe only one other family eating inside. The bathroom was clean. I split two dishes with my son-- salmon tikka masala and shrimp (prawn) saag, both coming with rice. We were given some papadum, I think, as a snack as we waited on the food, along with some spicy dips. Food came in maybe 10 minutes or so, which was great timing. However, I have to say, both dishes we tried were underwhelming. The shrimp was oddly translucent and not very flavorful in its dish, and the spinach in the saag wasn't especially tasty (though it did have a nice spiciness). The tikka masala sauce was great, but the salmon also was pretty underwhelming. We both said we'd probably just get chicken next time and not splurge the extra for the salmon. No dish was "bad", but just we expected them to be delicious and they were just OK. I'm just really surprised given how many people said this was the "best Indian" they'd had. The staff were friendly-- refilled drinks well and were good at answering questions. And the price was reasonable. Altogether, I'll give it 4 stars given the great location, good service, good price, but not 5 given the food was "just OK". Realistically, I probably wouldn't go back-- we have lots of great Indian in Durham and Chapel Hill, so I'd rather wait and get that.

Truly one of the BEST meals I've had in the Triangle! I'm generally more critical of Indian food,…read morebeing Indian myself, and I had very little say about Tamasha. What I appreciated the most was that everything was reminiscent of their original dishes, but with innovative and delicious twists- fusion perfection. We got the: - Four Cheese Truffle Kulcha (sharp cheddar, brie, asiago, chilli, black truffle dust, truffle butter, shishito pepper): Love a good bread moment- this one was cheesy, savory, and buttery; appreciated the contrast from the shishito. Added the roasted garlic and chilli dip upon the servor's rec for an extra cost; it was good, but not necessary- I'd probably skip this next time. - Chaat Mate (purple sweet potato & crunchy kale chaat, crispy okra & tuk aloo chat): Loved this! Such cool takes on chaat, which happens to be one of my favorite Indian dishes. Really appreciated all the elements, such good diversity of flavors and textures- crispy, sweet, tangy, earthy. - Nadru Malai Kofta (lotus stem dumplings, nut based sauce, plain butter naan or steam rice): First off, such a pretty dish! The gravy was rich and creamy; the dumplings were so interesting (strong spice essence). - Nigellaseeds Chilly Olive Naan: Got this because I thought the ingredients for this naan sounded unique- it was decent naan, but nothing mind blowing, would probably skip next time. - North Meets South (elaneer payasam, ghewar, rose, hibiscus, coconut jelly, young coconut): Maybe my favorite part of the whole meal! Loved every aspect of this dessert, which seemed so separate but all came together beautifully. Not too sweet, which was great too. I've never had anything like this before. Service was great. We mentioned to our server that we were rushing to catch a show in an hour, and he was so amenable! Ambiance is really nice, definitely one of the prettiest restaurants around. There's free valet parking in the adjacent deck. 10/10 would recommend!

We arrived to the restaurant and the waiter took the order for the drinks. He brought us the drinks, and I thought he will bring the bread, chips, etc, which are served in " all" restaurants we have eaten at. This time, the server did not bring anything. I thought, maybe they ran out of the bread and are not serving it. To my surprise, next to our table arrived a Caucasian couple, and the waiter immediately brought them the bread and sauces and was very polite. Well, I understood, they were Discriminating us, we are Hispanic; well, actually we are multicultural, because my husband is european. So this type of clients don't deserve the same treatment and service as everyone else? Or, perhaps they were upset because we did not order three course meals???? Is there a minimum amount that clients need to consume at Everest Kitchen restaurant in order to receive good customer service. One thing is for sure. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT DESCRIMINATORY AND RACIST RESTAURANT!!!!

I set that aside and tried to avoid the moisture on the napkin my silverware was wrapped in. When I went to get food, most of it was covered which I guess is good, but to get to the food, it was awkward balancing the covers or having to place them on another covered tray to be able to serve myself. When I compare the food and environment here to other places that offer Indian cuisine buffets, for the $20 with tax I'd rather go to Kabab and Curry not too far from here on Hillsborough St. There is more food available, it is fresher, the environment overall seems more hygienic and well-organized, and the food has better flavor and seems less greasy at Kabab and Curry. The only difference is having to pay for parking or parking a bit further away for a free spot--but for what you pay at Curry Club and they only offer buffet over the weekend, Kabab and Curry is better and offers more value and is where I will probably go from now on. The only way Curry Club's buffet would make sense is if they brought the price down. I'd put their food quality about on par with China Queen's weekday Chinese buffet, but China Queen has the better sense to charge less for the quality and experience they offer their customers. If you're already in the plaza and it's convenient to drop in over the weekend, give Curry Club a try, but if you can make it a little further north, Kabab and Curry is the better place. It is worth noting that Curry Club has interesting theme days and specials that may offer more value and culinary enjoyment than what I was able to experience while I was there including weekend breakfast combos, and weeknight dosa, biryani, and rice deals. They also have momos and spring rolls that look delicious (though I can't vouch yet). They stock authentic items like frozen Shahi Kulfi (not included in the buffet), and beverages like Delhi Darling, Thumsup, and Limca. If I go back, it'll be to sample dosas at Dosa Night or see what I think about the momos and spring rolls. I'll update when and if I find out and get to sample more.
