I was referred to Designer Smiles by my dentist for Invisalign. Since my first interaction with them the staff and Doctor were friendly, very knowledgeable and sincere. The process was thoroughly explained, and I was provided with many options for my treatment plan. The office is in a nice little building, parking is very easy to find, and I was always immediately welcomed and quickly taken care of each time I visited. I never had to wait for long periods of time to be seen and the Doctor was always quick to attend to me and friendly while doing so. He explained what was happening during my office visits and always made sure I left without any unanswered questions. My teeth look great and I have officially finished my program after about 20 months of treatment. I had an amazing experience at Designer Smiles Orthodontics with my Invisalign! I had braces in my teens but my teeth had shifted over the years. Dr. Kevorkian put together a custom plan for me based on the adjustments that my teeth needed. He takes images of your teeth and shows how your teeth and smile will change throughout the weeks until the very last Invisalign tray. After a year of Invisalign and regular check-ins, I love my teeth and smile! Dr. Kevorkian is a very experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate orthodontist. The worst place to visit to fix your teeth. My daughter has been a patient for over 2 years today was her appointment so they remove her braces We walked in and the first thing they asked is that we need to pay the full balance in cash in order for them to take them off. I informed them that we will be able to pay the balance on Monday The manager Sara told me that they can't take the braces out with me paying, I asked why can't we pay on Monday or if you send us a bill for it .she then accused me that I will run away and not pay the balance.the most un professional staff. Dr Kevorkian was highly recommended to us from a dentist friend of mine so we decided that my son will get his orthodontic treatment at designer Smiles. Long story short and about one and a half year later, he just had his braces removed and is wearing Invisalign retainer now, with simply EXCELLENT results! And NO, I did NOT pay extra to keep them on longer, just the set price that was given to me during the initial evaluation. I have to disagree with Linda M's whole review. He is not money hungry, greedy and I highly doubt he only prefers cash. Maybe Linda M's experience was all in her head because her review sounds suspicious. One thing to mention that I think is quite important is my experience during the initial evaluation. Since my teeth were not too bad, I could have gotten invisalign, but felt that it was not a good fit due to my lifestyle and personality. Not only did I want clear braces, I wanted the most expensive clear braces available. He was very honest with me and told me flat out that I did not need them since my braces were only going to be on for about 6-9 months. He said "why buy a Porsche when you are going to drive below speed level?" Okay... so maybe those were not the exact words, but you get the jist... there was a Porsche and driving slow mentioned! Dr Kevorkian is not the cheapest around.... his clinic is in North Glendale, CA for goodness sakes, NOT the ghetto. If you want ghetto prices... go to the ghetto! Professional, clean, and quite modern. Been going to this Ortho for the past 3 years. I must say everytime I am there, the place is CLEAN! The employees are all professional and on task. Must commend management, as they have found a balance of comfort at work, yet not too laid back or over the top. I am quite happy with the work done so far. It's all good. I like that they are flexible with appointments and don't give you a hard time if you cancel or postpone. Parking sometimes could be tough if you're there afternoon. My niece was a patient of Dr. Kevorkian. She started out with a mouth full of crooked, misaligned teeth. At the end of her treatment she had a beautiful smile. When it came time for our son to get braces, it was a no-brainer. We're not completed done with treatment yet, but we are extremely happy with our decision. The entire staff is wonderful, but a special thank you to Dr. Kevorkian for going above and beyond the call of duty. In March, my son sustained an horrific injury to his teeth. During a routine baseball practice, he was hit in the mouth with a high velocity baseball. His mouth was a bloody mess. One tooth completely sheared at the gum line. Most of his front teeth were loose, top teeth at least 1/4" lower than normal, bottom front teeth all loose, braces mangled, many of the brackets missing. In a panic, I called Dr. Kevorkian's office. It was a Sunday. I wasn't sure if I'd get a call back. Less than 10 ministers later, the doctor called me back. Dr. Kevorkian came to his office on his day off, stabilized my son's teeth, saving all the loose teeth. We also learned, if not for the braces, my son could have easily lost all the loose teeth. The braces protected his teeth and held everything together. We are VERY grateful for Dr. Kevorkian's dedication and commitment. My son just got his braces yesterday. He is a bit of a nervous kid with a terrible gag reflex. Miraculously, Dr, Kevorkian managed to make him feel totally at ease and he had no problem at all. Who would ever have thought that a factory system of orthodontics could work so well? I was initially dubious when I saw the multiple chairs in Dr. Kevorkian's suite, and the way he floated from one to the other, checking in on his "assistants", but it works! The women who do most of the actual work are very experienced, and Dr. Kevorkian pops his head in to check, give direction ,and perform the high-level detail work. Everything flows smoothly, and no corners are ever cut. In fact, I was due to get my braces removed and Dr. Kevorkian opted to continue treatment and make several tweaks, at his own expense, just to ensure the results were the best possible. When I met with and spoke to Dr. Kevorkian, he was very forthcoming and was very honest about what I needed or didn't need. Dr. Kevorkian and his staff are the most friendly and understanding orthodontic professionals you will ever encounter. My wife has had a number of dental issues in the past years. As a result, her teeth underwent some shifting and needed to be realigned. Because of all the dental issues, my wife has extreme anxiety when it comes to any sort of teeth-related procedures. Luckily for us, we found Dr. Kevorkian's office. He and his staff were very understanding and respectful of my wife's anxiety. Dr. Kevorkian was very calm and friendly, always speaking in a low, soothing voice. He is extremely patient and we've never seen him get frustrated or annoyed. He made sure to explain everything he was doing before he did it. He genuinely listened to any concerns me or my wife might have had and made sure he addressed them and that we understood what we had been told. His staff always made us feel comfortable too, especially Vera, who knew us by name and recognized us on the phone whenever we called. I just took off my braces last week after 2 years of treatment with Dr Gary Kevorkian. I am extremely pleased with the result and every office visit was nothing but pleasant. I literally looked forward to each visit since day one because the doctor is so nice and patient, and every time he addresses my doubts and worries. He even emails me back when I raise a question during two office visits and tells me to drop by so he can take a closer look. Before I made my decision to start my treatment here, I visited 3 other orthodontists, the attention and care I received from Dr Kevorkian even during the consultation sessions (I had two) was already the best. I did my research and the results of my teeth have proven that I made the right choice. The office is very well kept. Everyone from the nurses to front desk are very kind and patient. All my appointments were on time, I didn't have to sit in the office and wait for too long which was also great. I'm kind of sad that now with retainers I only have to visit every 3 months instead of 1, sounds a little silly I know. But I know I'm in good hands and am confident the doctor will continue to take care of me and perform minor adjustments if necessary. One final word, I did first wear braces when I just turned 18 but I did not go through with it because I didn't know better but also the experience was a little crushing to my confidence.
