My husband and I were coming to Wildcat next door, but they weren't open yet! We stopped in on a cold morning to enjoy a donut. To my surprise, they had an ube donut! It is literally my favorite flavor. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. My husband chose a cinnamon orange donut hole type thing and I got the ube donut. I tried these donuts for the first time in 2024 and I could not stop thinking about them. I am vegan so it isn't easy to find donuts at most places but destination donuts has so many vegan options. It is always such a treat when I get them and they taste amazing. I've went in person once and the seating is a bit limited with street parking but that's to be expected in Clintonville. I like to stop in and take them to go but there definitely is some seating for people that prefer to stay in. The service is great and the ship is super cute. Where has this donut place been all my life!! I came across Destination Donuts Instagram by chance and saw that they change their donut flavors daily. I was immediately intrigued and knew I had to stop in soon. I grabbed their Butterscotch & Smoked Sea Salt donut and their Dueling Vanilla that is available daily. Let's get into the size??? These donuts are massive compared to the ones I usually get elsewhere. I'd like to think the price reflects the size and the soft airy texture of the donut. It had been on my list to try and glad to make a trip out around the area. Got myself the Red Raspberry Rhubarb and Sugar 'Lit Bits. I am not a big icing fan and love this have the just right amount of icing on the donut. Slightly sweet with a hint of sourness. Can't forget that Sugar 'Lit Bits. I've been a long time fan and customer of destination donuts even when they were just a small stand at North Market! Now they've got a cute small location with some indoor seating for a nice snack. I'm not vegan and didn't realize these donuts were vegan! Even so, these are my favorite donuts in Ohio because of their soft chewy texture (yeast donuts as opposed to cake donuts) and fun flavors! I will say though the donuts are super expensive and they really aren't generous to customers with their rewards. I was 25 cents short of another stamp on my rewards card and they have never rounded up even though you're paying nearly 4 dollars per donut (you get a stamp for every 5 dollars you spend). They post their flavors of the day on their Instagram so you can decide if it's worth the visit before going out. Their lemon blueberry donut is one of my favorites! I will say they tried to do a Thai tea donut and missed the mark, didn't have enough flavor which I've noticed is a trend in many non Asian places in Columbus attempting an Asian inspired version of their dishes. My daughter has an egg allergy which makes breakfasts out difficult. Before a recent Ohio State game we made reservations for an on-campus buffet breakfast with few egg free options, so I promised her a donut. I wandered into the neat little storefront five minutes before closing so they didn't have many choices. There was five chocolate frosted potato stick, one dueling vanilla, or two fruity pebbles glazed. I cleaned them out of the latter two varieties for $9. 08/24/24 "I am not Vegan" but wanted to try and support. I went after work around 12:30pm. The only doughnuts that they had left were "Maple nut, Key Line and Cinnamon Sugar Bites. They've moved to a new location in Clintonville in a former candy store. The inside is entirely redone. Most of the space is taken up by the kitchen and display. They do have two high top tables with stools for sitting and looking out the window. I bet they get a lot of foot traffic in Saturday mornings when the farmers market is open. Free street parking is available. Today I got the maple with bacon, butterscotch and smoked sea salt, and sour cream nutmeg. Yum! I wasn't a fan of the maple with bacon. It's a big donut but the icing flavor wasn't strong enough to hold up to the donut and the bacon lacked smokiness. Everything else was fantastic! The sour cream with nutmeg is light with a little bit of sweetness from powdered sugar on top. I will definitely be back to try some of the other new flavors. Holy crap, these are some good donuts. Destination Donuts was recommended to me by a friend who is vegan, because they have vegan donuts and regular donuts here. Although I am an omnivore, I got one of their vegan donuts, and they are outta sight! Vegan baked goods have come a long way. Or maybe it's just that Destination knows how to make good vegan donuts. This place is located in the North Market, which I didn't know, so it was a bit of a hassle to find it (and find parking). I ended up walking all around the block looking for it. Avoid my mistake! Also, the North Market gets very crowded, so you will have to maneuver around people and you will probably have to wait in line to get your donuts. I had to wait in line, but they are super quick. You will find donut flavors that you won't see at a typical donut shop, like butterscotch & smoked sea salt, maple sausage and raspberry hibiscus. But you'll also find your usual chocolate sprinkle donuts and plain glazed, too. If you are looking for a place to get a dozen donuts for a 10 spot, then you should definitely skip this place. I've had Destination Donuts on multiple occasions. They also sell them at Luck Bros coffee shop. Makes sense, since they sell their coffee at this location! My friend really wanted to try it because she had never had it before. The Buckeye Donut is the most popular, but she ended up choosing the maple donut which had nuts crumbled on top. It was fresh so it didn't taste as dense as usual. (I'm guessing I've never had it fresh.) Its still a very bread-y or doughy type of texture. The icing has most of the flavor, but the rest of it is just the dough... I've always split it when I've had it. It's about $3 per donut which is a little pricey but these are huge! Still, I wish they would dip the whole donut in icing or at least infuse it. It's just not flavorful enough for me to merit purchasing it. read more

I've been here so many times that I've never stopped to try a donut! Shame on me because they were good! If you're a window shopper just browsing the options, when you see these you'll be a window buyer. Eagerly pointing at your donut of choice through the glass. I've been here plenty of times and I can't believe that I haven't reviewed this place yet. I LOVE destination donuts. They are located inside the North Market in Columbus. I normally like to get the same donut which is the Dueling Vanilla. It is fantastic and SO SOFT. It is a classic donut but so delicious. I like the butterscotch and smoked sea salt too. There are numerous other flavours as well. All of their donuts are huge so the $3 price is not that bad. This is more of a luxury purchase for me. I've also tried their little cake donuts which they call "nibblers" - they are expensive (maybe $2 or $3 a piece?) but are very tasty! There are different flavours but normally there is only 1 or 2 flavours to choose from on a given day. The lines here do get long mostly if you go on a busy Saturday or during primetime hours (lunch time). The lines are long because it is a small donut shop and a very popular spot. I remember coming here in March 2017 during Arnold Sports Festival and in October 2017 during Columbus Marathon weekend. I remember there was a line to buy a donut but big events bring big lines so plan accordingly. This is their only location but they are located at select coffee shops around Columbus. Customer service is great. Anytime I've asked a question about a donut, I've been helped. Also, I heard that they do have some Vegan donut options but I haven't tried them yet. All donuts are made in-house right there in the store at North Market. Stop on in sometime and try a donut. YUM! This is my 123rd Yelp review overall. 77 reviews for 2018. I was shocked when I realized that I hadn't left Destination Donuts a review yet. I frequent the North Market pretty regularly and I've had their donuts on numerous occasions. Out of all my visits, I have never been disappointed. I mean, how can you be mad about a donut? All of Destination Donuts are all light and fluffy, made super fresh, and come in a variety of cool and unique flavors. I have never been to another donut spot where I could get a mojito donut or a ginger peach wasabi donut hole. Now, I'm not a donut expert but I have eaten a LOT of them, in a lot of different cities and this place definitely stands out. To top it all off, the staff at this location has always been nice. They all seem really happy to hand over their delicious creations. My favorite donut of theirs currently is the raspberry hibiscus. It's a little tart due to the raspberry but the sweetness of the hibiscus evens it all out. It seriously melts in your mouth. If I could eat one hundred of them I would! You can't go wrong with the lemon blueberry either. I love citrus and blueberry together. What a fabulous concoction to drizzle over a donut. I recently took a few of these donuts to a work meeting with Jordan B. and the glorious smell of donuts filled up the conference room and everyone was eager to dive in. I stopped by here this two Saturday's ago with my wife. We were in the North Market walking around whenever we spotted Destination Donuts. Whenever we were researching the market we had seen pictures of their donuts and I knew that we were going to try some. Since the shop is a food stand in the market, there's not too much to say about it. They have a display area where you can see all of the donuts as well as signs letting you know what flavor they were. Then behind that you can see workers making more doughnuts. On this day my wife and I decided to split a Lemon blueberry as well as a Coconut mango. We didn't get to them right away but they were still in good shape whenever we eventually did. The first one that we tried was the lemon blueberry with its shiny purple glaze. It was really good as the donut was light and fluffy while the blueberry added some nice flavor and the lemon added a pop of tart. Once we had finished with that we both tried the coconut mango. It was disappointing from the standpoint that I couldn't taste the mango at all. That's not to say it was bad though as the donut was once again light and fluffy and the coconut flavoring was tasty. There are so many cool foodie places to browse in the North Market. I love donuts but I try to enjoy them sparingly as they are just caloric bombs. I thought that I would be able to exhibit self control until I walked up to Destination Donuts. It was such a beautiful display of donuts in mouth-watering flavors that I had to try one. Well, I ended up buying two. One for now and one for later. :-) I ended up buying a dueling vanilla and a blackout. Both were delicious. Everything is handmade and fried of course. I had a chance to watch them prepare a batch. In addition to the two that I bought, the varieties of the day included citrus cinnamon roll, chocolate bacon, coconut raspberry, and pumpkin with spiced pepitas. After indulging in both donuts, I can honestly say that it was one of the best donuts that I have had. It's definitely a donut connoisseur's place. I am glad that I don't actually live out here or I would be in trouble. If you are ever in the North Market, make it a point to try one or more of their donuts. You won't be disappointed.
