I took my car to get ceramic coated from Francis before. He did a spectacular job! The car came out super shiny and slick! Unfortunately my car got into an accident and the shop had to repaint most of the panels. So I hit up Francis to see if I can claim warranty to redo my ceramic coating. He said he'll redo my ceramic coating since it's under warranty for FREE! No extra cost!! My car frequently sits outside, in the sun, under a tree that birds seem to love. Because of this, it gets very dirty, very quickly. Combining this with a travel schedule that means it may sit like this for weeks at a time resulted in a car that was embarrassingly dirty. I was almost ashamed to take it anywhere, but I knew that washing it myself would be pretty futile. I did my research and found Detail Oriented, and Francis was quick to set up a time to drop off my car at his location. I didn't stick around to watch like some people here because watching someone wash a car is only marginally more interesting than watching paint dry, but given Detail Oriented works on Lamborghinis and upscale German vehicles I didn't think it would be a problem. A few hours later, I came back to find the car spotless, shiny, and cleaned top to bottom, inside and out. Francis and I discussed our mutual distaste for shiny leather treatments, so I was happy that the car's interior still had the matte black leather, not the greasy Armor All look. He also showed me how water now beaded up on the paint, which had barely been visible prior. The wheels were also glowing, a huge change from being nearly black with brake dust. After doing his job, he went through detailed walkthrough of maintenance which was really helpful. The only minor surprise that I got was regarding the warranty. I didn't know going in that the warranty will only be maintained with a $200 annual maintenance. I had to go to my friend's house to get the car detailed. My car goes through a lot of abuse and the clear coat was fairly worn at this point. I decided to get a basic ceramic coat package to freshen it up a little. Setting up appointment was easy and I actually got booked for the first date I asked for, so no waiting. This was my first experience with Detail Oriented and wow, what a delight! I got a quote from Francis to have my car detailed, and he responded to me within literally 2 minutes. We set up an appointment the next day ( I thought I was going to have to wait, because every detailer I had contacted had a bit of a longer wait time but I was wrong). I described to him how my car looked like when I first bought it and my thrill on seeing my car so shiny and new back then (I have a 2014 MBenz 350 sedan).  I told Francis I wanted my car looking like wet, he listened, and he delivered! I dropped my car off and was greeted by Francis and Conor (partner) I decided to watch the whole process and let me tell you these guys mean business! They started with the wheels and seeing the amount of steps they took to clean one wheel was amazing. I'm used to someone just spraying down a wheel with water but these guys really get detail-oriented (pun intended) with each wheel, it was amazing to watch. Throughout the whole process they were both very passionate. During the claybar process they even had me inspect and feel the paint in comparison to the side that had not yet been clayed, it felt like such a transparent and inclusive process, and they constantly walked me down each step. They gave me insight on what they were doing.  The detail I had gotten done on my car was a top quality job, and I know they work on cars nicer than mine all the time which was very comforting to me. This was what brought me to them in the first place. Just when my car was about done a brand new AMG pulled in, so hey that's a huge plus. Wow, Francis did a great job on my Tesla! and it looked better than when I had gotten it from the factory! We had just gotten back from a short road trip to SoCal and it was looking a bit tired from the drive back up and so I scheduled Francis to take care of it immediately when I returned. Francis is professional and very knowledgeable - you can tell he's passionate about car detail based on the depth of his explanations, and run downs on what treatments works best for your vehicle. A bit of a backstory: During the pandemic, I had my car parked on the street for two entire years without any cleaning or maintenance. The car was covered with bird droppings, amber, and what one could only imagine was dried egg on the paint. First of all, I only use yelp to to leave GOOD reviews. So for me to be posting this means I'm trying to save you from wasting your money and energy here. I wouldn't be surprised if majority of the good reviews here are from people he knows. One 5 star review is from someone who works here. Lol. So disappointed with this business. Just like you, I got in contact with Francis after seeing stellar reviews on yelp. I said I wanted a mini detail ($69) , which includes both interior and exterior cleaning. Straight to the point. Process was seamless, I booked and came in for an appointment. I then got to my appointment, Francis scanned my car and recommended an EXTERIOR DETAIL ($249) due to tree saps and bird poop stains. Now, I am FULLY AWARE how dirty my exterior is, and after his trusting his recommendations, I decided to go for the $249. He quoted me for $240 for an exterior detail + interior cleaning. Thanked him for the discount (which, according to him, included wipe down of surfaces, vacuuming etc) I DID THIS BECAUSE I TRUSTED HIM THAT IT WILL BE WORTH IT. They reached out around 7:30 pm to say it was ready (getting dark at this point). Got to the place, scanned my car, etc. I noticed that the exterior seems decently cleaner, but clean in a way that a gas station car wash would be, etc. It did not seem like a DETAILING QUALITY. Now, I'll give him that because I know for a fact that my car did have a lot of scratches in the first place. I then open my trunk, only to find out it wasn't touched nor vacuumed at all. I thought they probably just forgot the trunk. He apologized and started working on it. I then get in my car to scan the front and back seat. Before I even get into the crevices, I know for a fact that they did not wipe the surfaces at all. I have trash in the same exact area, random stuff that they should've given me back if they really went to clean it, Anthony and Francis then started working on cleaning the surfaces they "missed" which I think they really did not attempt to clean in the first place. I had dust all over my dash, panel, cup holder, and leather seats. Me and my boyfriend had to stay for an extra 45 mins holding the flashlight for both of them to start cleaning what they really hadn't started. Not only were they bullshitting us out of telling us how they cleaned my car, we had to waste our time there as I point out ALL the things that they thought they can get away with. Im unsure if they just thought that I won't be checking on my car in detail just because it's late at night (almost 9:30 pm at this point) The exterior detail is 4/10. Interior is 2/10 considering I had to catch them try to get away with not really cleaning my car. I just wasted $240 for a quality work that could've been done for much cheaper, would've saved me money, energy, and gas driving up to their location. If I knew that this is the kind service i'd be getting, I'd rather spend a lot more elsewhere to actually get my car taken care of as promised. At this point, i'd rather clean my car by myself instead of taking it back to save me the stress. I'm not even striving for them to reach a high expectation, I just wanted honesty and for my car to simply get cleaned after they sell me into paying $240 instead of $69. They did not even give me half of the description of what an exterior detail includes online. There's a difference between "missing" some spots and bs. Appreciate the fact that you cleaned up the spots I mentioned/ caught (as I feel like you should cuz that's what im going in there for in the first place) . But please don't treat your customers like they're blind and clueless. I drive my car every single day, I know how it looks like. Had such high hopes for this place. Happy for those who claim to have had a good experience here, but I want to make my experience known. People from detail oriented, I trusted you guys. If you can claim to say you're happy and satisfied with the service you provided me, then I'll take it if you can tell me that face to face.
