Lovin the fact that Detroit Coney Grill made their way to Gilbert. Going to be an awesome place for watching the Lions this year! Coney's just like back home and sliders that stand up to the best around. Staff is very attentive and quick as they can be with this first busy week. Sports bar atmosphere with plenty of TV's and a 100 inch one for your viewing pleasure. Been twice so far, first time for the coneys and second time for the sliders. Service this used to be our go to spot but I think yall have gotten way to busy.tonight was embarrassing to say the least the way you guys turn down people at the door only to then seat a party of 6 "your friends " is a terrible way to conduct business and we will not be coming back in the future maybe train a lil better on customer service if people start feeling unwelcome they will stop coming to your establishment I can understand and appreciate the new found steady flow of business but you may wanna do better ps food is still good but not worth the rest read more

Went there for the first time on 29 July 2025. The food was OK. Nothing really to write home about! My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak and I got a chili cheese dog. I would say the best part of the whole experience was the hand cut french fries. read more

My boyfriend and I came in on a Wednesday. We had the honey hot wings (10 for $10) and the sun devil burger. Absolutely delicious. Owner was walking around speaking with tables, doing it all. It being a newer restaurant, it's hard to want to try but we did and it didn't disappoint! We will be back!! Great job to the staff! read more

My boyfriend and I are from Southern California and hands down--this was the BEST burger we've ever had! My boyfriend is a huge fan of Tommy's chili, and he couldn't believe how much better the chili was here. It was like Tommy's... but elevated. We have lived in AZ for 3 years now and we finally found the best chili out here. Not only was the food incredible, but the service was just as amazing. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to have us there. We've officially found our go-to burger spot and will be recommending it to everyone we know. Terrible service. We were sat immediately but we never had our order taken. A server that they call Beard, talked about the menu for 10 Minutes acting like this was a dining experience...saying the menu had a lot going on and explained way too much about burgers while kneeling down beside me made me uncomfortable to say the least he then went on to give an employee a verbal warning for the next 20 minutes in front of customers. Unprofessional, terrible service, dive bar trying to be a restaurant. If you are a regular it looks like they treat you well, but no one ever came back to take our order. 45 minutes and ended up at Freddy's. I still cannot get over him talking to an employee in a demeaning and unprofessional way. If you are going to give your employee a verbal warning maybe take it to the office. I'm only commenting on the food, as it was takeout and I didn't pick up. I got the cheesy melt, it was good nothing about it I didn't like but it was just a regular melt. The fries were delicious! The onion rings had way too much breading. The sliders were regular hamburger size! Which was a surprise they were ok. My son had a cheesy coney dog, he said it was good. Everything was ok. Detroit Coney grill did not disappoint. Born and raised in Detroit and growing up going to Coney regularly, I'm happy to say the coney dog and chili cheese fries are legit. The entire wait staff was so attentive and friendly. We will definitely go back! Looking forward to watching some Lions games next season. We saw this place on social media, claiming to have the #9 burger in America. Could not be more disappointed. $15 for a normal bar burger. Then you have to add an extra $6 just to get fries. Then for the side of onion rings and fries to come out soggy and cold really killed it for me. My kids even asked me why I picked this place. So disappointing, you're better off getting SmashBurger, at least they have good fries. read more

Had high hopes. Loved the big screens and bar for game nights. We had ordered the fried zucchini (rated 3.5/5), fried green beans (2/5), wings (3/5). Coming here I knew what I was getting into ... bar food. BUT come on now, how can you mess this up?!? I had the Detroit Coney and man it should be called Detroit Phony ! Unless this is how Detroit dogs are done. The dog was very puny, not a lot of chili and the bun was HARD , like the whole thing was put in a microwave! The chili .... I think it came out of a can ... very disappointing. The bright side was the fried green beans, fried zucchini and wings weren't bad. I love this place. I'm from Detroit, Michigan and I'm so glad they put this place right across the street from me. It's nothing like Detroit style food, especially the famous chili. Me and my man always come for good drink & eats. The customer service is great, food is great and they have some nice games on the patio part you can play. Went in and sat at the bar for the 3rd time today. Service and food has been really good each time & they have some of the best onion rings I've ever tried. A+. I grew up in Metro Detroit (23 years) and still go back to visit once a year and we have always ate at National Coney Island. The first bite of chili cheese fries here at Detroit Coney tastes EXACTLY the same as national back in MI. It's cool to see they have "Arizona modified" menu items like the southwest coney (original coney dog but with green chilies on it). We saw people on TikTok raving about this place .... The Dr Pepper was flat . The food took a while to come out . Ordered two things ,the sun devil burger and fried pickles. The burger came before the pickles and when pickles came they were over cooked and some stuck together and soggy. We did not eat them. The burger was delicious. Our waiter was hardly at the table in fact the other waitress was bringing out the food as a quick drop off saying he would be around , he never came and the waitress (not ours) came with the check. Never asked how the meal was, never asked if we needed any thing. We were never offered a refill or had the chance to even express concern to the waiter. Disappointed!!!! read more
