We ordered the Chicago style vegan dog which has a pickle spear, tomato slices and jalapeños. My only issue is the "emerald relish". Why for the love of god would anyone put emerald relish on anything. Its the xmas fruitcake of relishes. Its just awful and is not fit for man or beast. This was my second time trying this location first time last year was amazing and the chili dawg was scrumptious fast forward to 6/30 of this year went to the same location around 11 AM expecting the same result but the hot dog tasted rubbery like it had been sitting out over night. So while in Chicago for work, I know I needed to eat some authentic Chi-town food. I rushed it on Rush Street (ha) to bring it back to my hotel to watch the traffic on the 29th floor and tuck into my food. The hot dog was a great example of a classic Chicago dog. Everything was there. It was exactly what I was looking for. The thing that brought the 5 stars home though was the onion rings. The whisky dipped rings with Awesome Sauce were...well awesome! I enjoyed those rings so much, some of the best I have ever had. Batter had a great flavor and the onions were cut thick and cooked until tender. I literally might just grab some more of those to eat, they were so good. The sauce that accompanied them were the perfect compliment.
