The hours are very minimal so we want to make sure we got there early. We didn't know how busy this place would be but we came in mid-afternoon and the menu was absolutely appetizing from what they offered I was immediately interested in their sweet and savory barbecue sandwich. My wife got a soup, the staff was very nice in accommodating and professional throughout the entire visit. They checked in on us and make sure we had water, they engaged in conversation with us , and they take pride in their menu. They offered a Pay It Forward program which was pretty cool to see and they even sell some books too. The food here is also very well priced and affordable. Our meals were absolutely delicious and it filled us up for the rest of the day. This place offered a really clean restrooms and his restaurant was really clean. We got a muffin for us to share and it was absolutely amazing there's parking on the property right next door highly recommend checking this place out this was the highlight of visiting Baraboo Wisconsin

The staff here are so nice, and every time we try something new it doesn't disappoint. The desserts here are a must, they do in fact taste as good as they look. Cute/relatively small dining area, but it feels homey and quaint. Next time we are in the area we will be making a point to swing through for another meal!

We got the spicy pickle fries with homemade ranch. The pickle soars are spicy with a light, perfect coating and fried to crunchy, crispy goodness. Very generous with toppings, crust was experty baked with flaky and crackly sides and lush, light interior. Go here, you will love the food!

Today we were surrounded by pizza eaters, everyone happy and smiling. Place has open seating and plenty of TVs. We went for burgers. We had heard good things about burgers, so we dipped our toes into the change pool and gave it a shot. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. Either we had the wrong day or an inattentive cook. Wifey had the regular burger with a slice of raw and fries. Burger was ordered medium, a little pink showing. I went with the Gem Burger 1/3 pound with all the trimmings - tomato, lettuce, onion, bacon and a slice of pepper jack - and an order of fries. Wifeys burger was well done, even singed black on one side and her fries looked like they were from the end of the bag. All of them were pretty much less than an inch long. My burger was similar, not medium and more on the well side, but my bun was burned. Not just toasted a little extra, I could taste the burned bread. My fries were similar. The Gem has a problem with quality control. All the pizzas that came out looked fantastic, our burgers, not so much. The kicker was the cook came out to get a look at us before the end of the meal. Just a quick look and back to the kitchen. Bottom line .... stick to pizza. I'll never go back for another burger. There are better places in town for a good burger. Recommend that non pizza orders be double checked with good quality standards before leaving the kitchen.

Got a 16 in with pizza and black olives for four adults. The crust is really quite thick... more so than what I'd call NY style. Not a complaint! We just got so much pizza for the money! Sauce was very tomato-y. Not too much on the pie. A generous amount that stays under the perfectly baked cheese. Sausage was top notch. Will definitely get again, sine we come to DL at least once a year.

But from the moment we sat down, it was all uphill from there. The Italian wedding soup was excellent, rich, flavorful, and clearly homemade. The pizza was decent, nothing extraordinary but solid with plenty of cheese. We also ordered the lasagna, the spicy chicken dish, and spaghetti and meatballs. The standout was the spicy chicken: the "spicy red sauce" turned out to be more of a creamy, spicy blend, and it was fantastic. Everything came out piping hot, which I really appreciated. They also bring out warm rolls, and those were surprisingly tasty, soft, fresh, and perfect for dipping. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Despite the rough first impression, it turned out to be one of the best restaurants in the area.

When we got to the Vintage Brewing we had hoped to sit outside but everyone else had the same idea. It would have been a 20-30 wait so we chose to sit inside at one of their high tops. The area was in the bar and roomy we could see everything that was going on around the bar but kind of in the way of the thorough way of the kitchen where food came out and where they get their drinks from the bartenders. Our server walked by often so we received great service. I ordered the Rueben, it was delicious I'm so happy the have found another so close to home. The corned beef was thick, with just the right amount of juiciness, sauerkraut, thousand Island dressing and the best marble rye bread toasted perfect perfectly. I ordered straight fries well seasoned. I also ordered their homemade root beer, I'm not a fan. It tasted more like black licorice than root beer. I'd definitely go back and order visit its sister establishment in Madison on East Washington Avenue.

It is located along the Wisconsin River a short drive outside of Madison. Vintage Brewing is right on the river, giving the patio a really pretty setting. The patio is large and has a great spot for bands with plenty of tables for the audience. We decided to order dinner while we were there. I am not a beer drinker so I ordered the Wisconsinite ( a blackberry brandy old-fashioned). It wasn't bad, but definitely more on the sweet side than I care for. We shared the fried cheese curds, which had a great flavor, though not the best I've had. I really enjoyed my blackened salmon salad. The salmon was delicious and the salad was fresh. My husband also enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich. They had some fun swag for sale, and I came home with a cute pink t-shirt. All in all, Vintage Brewing is a cool place with beautiful location a great vibe. If you have a chance, catch The Sparks Band (a fun cover band).

The produce they have might be limited but it's always top-notch! Liquor aisle is very good as are the baked goods they carry. It all started when the three year old child of my friends asked me about the "Chuck Store" Moi: "What is a 'Truck Store'?" Kid: "CHUCK, it is the bestest store ever in the whole world with candy!" Moi: "Do they have a toothbrush? He forgot to pack a toothbrush..." Kid: "Duh. They have EVERYTHING, and candy too." Indeed. Naturally, I had to see this marvel. And the kid tells no lies- this is part gas station, part old-timey general store, part hardware store, gardening center, liquor store, candy emporium and drugstore- that is a whole lotta hats, but the lady working the counter was clearly a pro able to direct me to candy and toothbrushes with ease. For the kid, a combo of monster truck toy car and lolly pop that took two days of effort to eat ($1.29, pictured with all it's awesome glory). That car is miraculously still intact. Have you played with a three year old? I'm surprised I am intact, kid is relentless and makes my hyperactive energy look tame. Awesome. For me to keep up, a Starbucks double shot chugged at light-speed and the priceless shot of Lady Monkeybutt- which I cannot believe is a real product and had me laughing hysterically as much as the three year old. Maybe more. I didn't know places like this existed anymore, but am glad they do.
