Of the five or so quotes I sought on a Sunday morning to replace my old electric water tank that unexpectedly just stopped working, Capitol was by far the most responsive and gave me personalized responses (quickly!) as opposed to form responses provided by some others. The owner, Germaine, was the one I talked to, and I was so impressed and put at ease while going through an otherwise stressful situation. Capitol gave me options to fit within my budget (e.g., they offered to come out on a Sunday, the same day I contacted them, but told me I could elect to save a couple hundred bucks if I waited to get my service during normal business hours on Monday; they gave me advice about what type of heater and other parts to buy on my own if I wanted to save money by just paying for labor and not any parts). I also asked them if they could reserve a Monday morning appt. for me while I tried to replace the non-functional heating element on my own, as I figured the odds were high that my DIY would go awry and I would need a new tank installed, and they reserved the appt. for me while we waited to see if my repair worked out. In the end, my repair seems to be working, so I didn't actually have Capitol come out (yet, fingers crossed). But if I need a plumber, they will be the first ones I call. Germaine also shared that they are a master plumber, and that's the kind of quality I'm looking for. To top it all off, their labor quote to install the new unit and take my old one away was the lowest price of the quotes I did get. A couple of days went by and I didn't hear anything so I reached out to the company. I spoke with the secretary who told me that the technician was not available, but she would have him to call back. Despite her promise of him calling back he never did and I proceeded to call back every day for two weeks without a response. At one point the secretary told me that the technician was in fact the owner and she had no clue why he wouldn't return my call. Normally I would have quickly called another company but I had to use this individual due to the water heater warranty company. After two weeks of calling without a response or the replacement part I ended up with a basement full of water caused by the leaking water heater that they were supposed to fix. I ended up calling another reputable plumbing company that was able to fix the issue the same day. I'm really unsure why the technician never called back, perhaps it was because he was being paid by the warranty company and felt that the job was too small. Either way I wouldn't recommend them due to the poor customer service.

Him and I text a lot about other things a as well like the new Renei tankless water heater and the HVAC. He told me to install the new remote it would be about 200 dollars. So we move in and we find out he passed away. So I ask how much would it be to install the remote in our new house and that it is just like the other one in our old house. I was told in a text about $150-$250. I scheduled for the Tuesday after Veterans Day because we are both veterans. They no show us. No call at all. I was told the next day that they texted me and I did t respond. If you have an appointment with someone, and your not going , pick up the phone and call. So they then reschedule and one would think it would be the next day. NOPE, it was 8 days later. So the guy comes out and asks where the logs are? Since I have had this before I know you don't need the logs to install this. Lowe's didn't have the logs in Oct when I started looking and I got the kit on Amazon. I googled it and they had it at Lowe's. So while he was doing the install, he told me this will take an hour and that it will be in time to put them in. When I got back he was still working one because he said he was having a hard figuring out where to put the gas line. He then asked, do you want to put the logs I. Or do you want me to do. I figured since he no showed me, let them do it. I was having him come out the following week for the one outside. I ask to pay and he said no will put both on the same bill. Ok I get a bill the following day for 400 dollar! Not what we discussed so of course I questioned if this was for the two of them. They said no. For one. They said they would do the second one for $175. If the next one is $175 then both should be. AND it the bill is not in the range that I was told then someone should have called me before the guys started if they were told it was a different than what they came there to do. Their excuse to me is that they thought this was a replacement. If I have been a customer for YEAR, and I now have a new house with a new address this is a new kit. PLUS, I sent them a picture of the new kit I purchased. Buyer BEWARE! They will bill you more money if they think you have the extra income to pay for it. Just because we can afford it doesn't mean we should be ripped off nor does it mean you charge me more after you quoted me without my knowledge. We paid our bill and they lowered it to what I was quoted however, they refused to do the second fireplace and made sure to send me email as to this being my fault not theirs.
