The tavern on the second floor is a really nice old place as well. They still have rooms on the upper floor, i bet it would be wild to stay here, i'm sure as old as Jean Bonnet is there has to be some good ghost stories. We live over an hour and a half away and make the drive every few months because it's so good. The service has been quick and fairly attentive. The food is wonderful, try the crispy pork (if you suffer acid reflux make sure you take your medicine!) we prefer the original, but the occasional special black and blueberry version is very good too. Also try the tomato bisque if it's available and both dips (shrimp & crab, spinach & artichoke) and if you're in the mood try the frozen piña colada. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of their food though!

I sent word to the manager that "I would be ashamed to serve the beans." He glanced over to our table and walked away. Very poor service and attitude. I would have come and given a sincere apology for failing in his duties as a manager. The chicken was dry and unseasoned. Don't order sweet tea if you like your tea sweet. There seems to be zero sugar. The only bright spot was the salad. The ingredients were fresh and nice and crispy. Our server started off good, but once the food was served, he never came back till he brought the bill. The chairs are hard and uncomfortable. What a waste of money. We will definitely not return. Also, our server never brought bread to our table.

We settled on pizza, then on this establishments. Me, being the ever persistent person I am, wanted to get us the best deal. I checked out their webpage and saw that they had a really good deal for this week. Focusing on their XL pizzas when you buy three. Different prices for plain cheese and one-topping pizzas. In all, we got a ton of food at a decent price, and a lot of leftovers to tide us over for a few days. When I tell you that we ordered a ton of food, we really did. We took advantage of the three XL cheese pizzas (mostly for the kids), the three one-topping pizzas (mostly pepperoni), and a specialty pizza (their white pizza). My one sister was wanting a salad and some dessert, so that was added on too. When we got our food, it definitely looked like way too much food for us, but we all dug in. I first tried the white pizza. White sauce, cheese, tomato, and what felt like a ton of garlic. This was delicious. I then had a piece of pepperoni, just as good. What makes this pizza so good is a combination of things. The first is the crust, by far the best crust I have ever had. Pair that with their sauce, I could just eat that. The toppings are fresh, pizzas are by far the best in Johnstown. I did feel a bit queasy when I tried to dive into my fourth piece of pizza, but that was my fault as I was eating too fast. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach this night. They were once located in a nondescript building off of Scalp, now they hold up shop in the old Meadows building. Definitely worth your time to stop in for a pie or two.
