Their cakes are to die for! We visit every chance we get. Great Lil gift shop too. I love their Moravian cookies.

We stumbled upon this bakery on a whim when walking around the parking lot looking at other things…read more Even though we were about to go eat dinner, we stopped in for a treat. I was pretty taken aback by how many dessert options they had. Not only did they have a plethora of types of desserts, but they had sooo many flavors/varieties of each one. A dozen different variations of cheesecakes, several cupcake varieties, a dozen different kinds of macarons, several different cakes, tiramisu, tres leches, banana pudding, edible cookie dough, more cookies than I could name, brownies, eclairs, and more that I'm sure I have forgotten. If you can name it, I'm sure they have it. I've been looking for somewhere nearby to get a proper macaron (as opposed to a hard, macaron shaped cookie without the traditional texture) at a reasonable price point. This definitely met those criteria, so of course we tried a flower shaped macaron. It had the perfect, delicate cookie and that classic, light almondy flavor. We also had a brownie batter cookie, which was delicious and reminds me of something I would have saved on Pinterest a decade ago but never gotten around to making, much less as well as they do. Though there was a line inside, we were served super quickly by friendly staff, and found a nice seat outside in the sun. They also had abundant indoor seating. Maybe I'm the last one to hear about Sweet Dough and everyone else has been a fan, or maybe it's a true hidden gem. Either way, I will 100% be back.

I have probably gone to Sweet Dough close to a dozen times, most of the time with my toddler, teenage athletes that I coach, or my husband, and no one that I know has ever left disappointed. The desserts are phenomenal. I can personally attest to the great quality of various cakes, banana pudding, bars, cookies, macarons, cheesecake, and the cinnamon buns OH MY GOSH. The prices are very reasonable and most of the servings are awesome! It's also a great hangout spot for a small group. I had team bonding with my volleyball team there last year; we played board games and just kept getting more desserts and coffee! In fact, I need to get out that way and get some more dessert (I'm getting hungry as I type!). The staff are friendly and give good recommendations, and I have never had to wait for food.

We hadn't had coffee this way since our Greece trip in 2019 so we went to see if it was legit. As soon as we walked in we were in awe of the dessert spread that you walk past to get to the counter. The cakes looked SO moist and delicious! There were so many tantalizing flavor combos, but what stopped me in my tracks were the New York Rolls. Think giant crispy stuffed croissants! I ordered the Pistachio Cream one and no lie, it was 6 inches across and 2.5-3 inches tall. They asked if I wanted it heated (umm yes) and it was AHMAZING.i also ordered the fig and honey latte while my husband ordered the Turkish coffee. So good and unique! In fact, our visit was so good that 8 days later I chose Fig and Olive Cafe as a hang out spot for friends and I to gather for brunch. We all got the other three flavors of the New York Roll (Chocolate Hazelnut, Fig and Honey, and Biscoff Cookie) and shared them. I got the Pistachio Crème iced coffee and it was also excellent! 10/10 recommend these pastries! We had the opportunity to sit at the cafe from 9am-12:30 and we sat in cozy leather couches and enjoyed ourselves quite nicely! Staff were friendly and helpful.

We tried the coconut cake and mint tea, and I ordered the specialty date and cardamom latte with oat milk. Everything was enjoyable, though the latte was a bit too sweet for my taste.

I'm not sure if they do consignment style shops within the gift shop, or if it's all under the same business, but it's arranged in a bunch of mini sections that all kind of have a different aesthetic. It was a bit maze-like, but I have no doubt they sell something in here for everyone. Like the gift shop, the bakery had huge variety. Who knew there were so many types of cake? I ended up getting a carrot cake latte and a heart shaped macaron. It was only after I had ordered my latte with oat milk, checked out (including paying the up-charge for oat milk), and waited several minutes that they told me they were out of oat milk. This was disappointing, as I paid my extra for the oat milk, yes, but also because I don't really want a latte in general without it. Regardless, it was too late, so I just told them to do it with 2%. The latte was okay but I didn't love it. It mostly tasted sweet and like cinnamon. Which I guess is more or less what carrot cake tastes like? The menu said it came with a cream cheese cold foam or whipped cream (I don't remember which) but it came out with plain whipped cream. The espresso was a little bitter - maybe burnt or shocked. The macaron was gorgeous, but didn't have a macaron taste or texture. It was hard like cookie. A macaron should be light and airy, and the shell should almost collapse under a bite. I had to chomp through this one. I am not sure if it was stale, a bad batch, or if their "macarons" are just "macaron shaped cookies" by design.
