Wow!! Where do I start... this place has amazing pizza, beer and service. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because I wish it was bigger and had some appetizer options. Because it's not a bigger restaurant the wait time can be a little long. However, I had the Greek Salad which was amazing. Also I got the Ryan's Inferno, which is their take on a buffalo chicken pizza... and it was one of the best pizza's I've had ever!! Came to Dewey's for a Saturday night dinner and the whole family enjoyed it. They have good pizza and a great beer list. We ordered the Don Corleone and a half Dr. Dre/half Porky Fig + beers and a few side salads. I'd order a full size Porky Fig the next time I go - it was so good! We've had people recommend the Don Corleone, but it was a bit too greasy in my opinion, which is hard to avoid on a pizza full of meats. The staff was friendly and we didn't have to wait the estimated 30 minutes for a table for 4. This is a good family restaurant - there were quite a few kids but the restaurant didn't feel too loud or chaotic. Definitely plan to go back! read more

Good atmosphere for a nice lunch with friends. They have pizzas, calzones, and salads on the menu. All are good, and on this particular visit I had a chicken Caesar salad. The prices are good, it is not over priced at all. The service was great. All of the waiters and waitresses rotate throughout the restaurant so that your needs are constantly being addressed. As such, I did not have to wait for my specific waitress to refill my glass, not did I have to confirm my beverage to the next waiter that refilled my glass. It appears as though the wait staff is fully aware of what is going on. Because pizza products are so filling, they do offer boxes to go so that made it easy for my friends to carry their left overs out the door with them. Officially opening day! Finally! We love Dewey's pizza and are so happy that we don't have to drive 45 minutes for good pie! Came in for lunch and the place is packed... with staff that is. Zero wait, very nice beer selection and friendly staff. Lots of room, second biggest location I've seen to date and a nice atmosphere. The true test is how did they get my Porky Fig done? Nailed it!!! OMG IT WAS EXCELLENT! I've had many local pies, and while many of then are very good, none of then are Dewey's! read more

Dewey's is an awesome addition to the area! I went for dinner with my husband and parents on a Tuesday night and we had a great experience. Little wait time, nice atmosphere, super friendly service and awesome pizza. They do things a little differently- you don't have one specific server, they all share the tables in the dining area. This sounds like a disaster, but everything went very smoothly! They also have a solid local beer selection! My favorite thing about this place is that you can do half and half pizzas! So for my fellow indecisive people, this is a beautiful thing! My favorites are the Doctor Dre & Porky Fig. Update: On the positive side, I just tried the meatball pizza and it is AMAZING. Just like a meatball sub on a pizza. On the downside, the past two times I've ordered a pizza for carry out, it has taken so long to pay for my pizza due to the poor bar/lobby setup, by the time I get home the pizza is cold. Something needs to be done about the bar area because it's so silly for people picking up a pizza to have to wait for 3 people to order drinks to pay for their pizza. I wouldn't recommend ordering carry out from Dewey's. read more

Loved the food! After driving 15 hours I was tired and hungry! We were staying across the street so my hubby went over to see what they had. He got the combo pizza, I got the Walnut, Grapes and Gorgonzola salad with the house balsamic dressing. The size for the pizza was good and he had a bit left over he really enjoyed the flavors, crust, and cheese quantity's. The salad was huge perfect amount of cheese for flavor not over bearing, but the greens were fresh and the nuts were in perfect match then you add the grapes and I could have used about 5-8 more but that put it over the top. One of the best salads I have ever had! None of that nasty plate garnish that is the nasty fad kale! Thank for that! Service was fast and the they were very nice to a tired hungry traveler! Pizza isn't bad from an Ohio food chain, the crust is superb. I don't know what the fascination is with Gorgonzola, it's definitely overdone. The staff definitely seemed rushed and the one goof was telling the ladies to scoop up plates as soon as people were finished which is rude to the person still eating. The one girl running around with the butch haircut was pretty pissy. Would say thank you and she'd storm off. I don't know if she has a thing against men or what, but she needs concierge training or needs to find a different line of work. The tall guy with the goofy laugh, ran and bumped into me like he was making an urgent dash for the lavatory. Could've said,"excuse me" but eh. Place is definitely better than any IMO's or Chicago Pizza around and at least they don't offer those hog nut baked ravioli. We'll try the different flavors next time. read more

My father and I stopped at this brand new Dewey's Pizza in Shiloh, IL on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving for lunch. They were BUSY! We ended up waiting about 5 minutes and grabbing two seats at the bar. We weren't looking to dine leisurely so we ordered one large Porky Fig Pizza (A Fig Jam Base, Mozzarella, Fontina, Prosciutto, Caramelized Red Onions, Gorgonzola Cheese) to share. Turns out a large pizza is 17 inches. We only ate about half between the two of us. It was delicious! It had the sweet fig jam, the pungent gorgonzola cheese, and the savory Prosciutto all working together. I'd order this again and again. This location is very new and things were a little hectic but seemed to be working pretty swiftly. To the previous reviewer who called out one of the workers' sexuality all I can say is wow, that's klassy with a "k." We enjoyed our lunch, there's not a lot of pizza places in this area that are good, and we'll certainly return. read more

First off, great pizza and cold beer. If you are looking for something unique or just a regular pie this is the place. Best thing about Dewey's has got to be the staff! We scheduled a large office going away luncheon and showed up to find a large majority of our group unexpectedly canceled. Instead of sitting the much smaller group in the main area the manager welcomed our group into the private room, which they initially set up to seat around 20. We had an awesome, if not considerably less attended, lunch and then were told we wouldn't have to met the room food bill minimum. They also didn't charge the large group gratuity, which I would have gladly paid just out of embarrassment after so many people failed to show. The crust lacked any real flavor, though the texture was nice...and the veggies looked and tasted mostly fresh, it's just that they also lacked sufficient flavors to have me begging for more. I don't understand the 4.5 stars which is why I feel the need to review. It's okay. I've had better, and I've had worse. More specifically, the crust is pretty okay then and a little crunchy but not cracker like. I prefer a sweeter sauce and the toppings were okay but not exceptional. They tasted like they had been freshly taken out of the bag so that's kind of good. I guess. The service was fine. We came at a slow time, so not sure what it's like later. We had different servers conduct each part of the service though, do it made tipping a little weird - who is it going to? Good pizza and excellent service. Our waitress, McKayla, was prompt and extremely helpful to first time customers. Haleigh, the hostess, was downright awesome. Our pizza was dropped after coming out of the oven and Haleigh came right out and explained the situation. The extra wait was essentially imperceptible as it only added another five or so minutes on. She comped the pizza without even saying anything which felt excessive considering the minimal impact. Great food and can't say enough about the staff! read more

If someone would like to do a case study on amazing customer service, they should come here to Dewey's Pizza and ask for Lexi and Ashton. I ordered an 11 inch pizza, half bbq chicken and half porky fig. About 10-15 min after ordering they brought out my pizza and right away Lexi apologized saying the pizza is a bit overdone and darker than their standard. Rather than throwing it away, they gave it to the table for free and said we could snack on this while the new pizza was being made. 10 minutes later, the "correctly" cooked pizza made its away out. I put "correctly" in quotes because the first pizza was only slightly overdone. Definitely speaks to their high quality standards! When I asked for the checks Ashton said there was no charge FOR BOTH PIZZAS and apologized again for the first pizza being slightly overdone. It's been a super long time since I've had exceptional customer service like this. Again, shout out to Lexi and Ashton! Overall the pizza itself is solid, 4/5 stars, the quality control is 5/5, and the customer service is 6/5 stars (no not a typo). I was just visiting for a business trip, so I had no idea Dewey's is a chain since this location feels more like a local joint. Next time I'm in the area, you can bet your pizza I'm definitely coming back here! read more

I've had pizzas from this restaurant on four separate occasions, and each time my pizza was delicious. I like the food, and I like the atmosphere, and they've done a great job with decorating the restaurant and making you feel right at home. They have a great bar to pull back a beer, and get a pizza. They serve wine too, and that's a great pair with their food offerings. If pizza and a salad are on your radar this is the restaurant to visit. They do a great job of getting your pizza to your table or to go in a timely fashion, and their service is excellent. read more
