We went for dinner last night, relying on the 4.5 Yelp stars, and some great reviews; I have to say they were all spot on! It was Friday night, but we got seated within 10 min (had gone without a reservation). I got the candied walnut, goat cheese salad, my son had the Cesar salad; both were good! For pizza we did half and half on the 17 inch; buffalo chicken (Ryan's inferno) and the green lantern (I added chicken to it). My son made his own 13 inch with ricotta cheese, chicken, spinach and garlic! The buffalo chicken was a tad salty for me- but the other 2 were perfect! Good, clean, fresh ingredients, generous portion of the meat and cheese on my pizza- hit the spot perfectly! We obviously over- ordered; but now have another meal for when we don't want to cook! read more

First time ever ordering and just 5 stars for service! We ordered 1 pizza to go and when we went to puck it up a kind man giving us the pizza accidentally spilled the side sauce all over it in the box. He immediately told the kitchen and they made a new one in 15 mins no extra charge! They were awesome! Now to go home and eat it! :) read more

Color me impressed, Dewey's! We were out and about and saw the slightly unassuming Dewey's with a patio on a nice day and decided to go for it. Everything from the food to the service was five stars -- but especially the service. I poked my head in and asked if the patio was dog friendly and heard a chorus of "YES!" from about six different employees. They weren't kidding, servers were literally taking turns coming out to pet my dog Scout, it was great. The pizza here is unlike any other; the crust is super light and very well made. All the toppings are quality ingredients, and everything just works well together. We weren't sure of sizing but they guided us to a 13" for my wife, toddler and I and it was spot on. We got one of the specialty pizzas, but admittedly one that was pared down on ingredients; Meatballs, basil, and mozzarella. So good. The Italian salad is really good as well, and the dressing was a housemade basil dressing that I would seriously buy and take home. It was that good. They even sprinkle salt & vinegar chips on it which, hey, what they hell, why not? There's just something about the welcoming staff here that made this really pop, and the fantastic pizza will have us coming back for sure as we have family in the area. Big fan of my first trip to Dewey's! One of my favorite things was that you are able to do half and half pizzas with any and all toppings. I had the monthly special which was a taco pizza with a taco sauce base. My wife had a pineapple/BBQ pizza with a white sauce. About as opposite (and strange) as it gets yet they split it perfectly. Dewey's also has a good (not large) selection of local beers on tap as well. Good service, good food - highly recommend! read more

Went here last night for dinner since we wanted to try a new pizza place. The food was so great and the pizzas were all unique with great names. I got an 11" Porky Pig and my bf got a 13" Bronx Bomber. They had about 10 draft beers, most of which were local. Service was quick and friendly, we went early so the place wasn't crowded. I had seen this place a few times before when I went to the pet store in the same parking lot, but never thought to go inside until it came up in a search on Yelp. I placed an online order for a work lunch. Not only was the order ready on time but the manager delivered it to my car. My coworkers loved the variety of pizzas they had to choose from. Their pizza is INCREDIBLE. Like wow the crust is perfect. Soft with a touch of crispiness and they definitely load up on the toppings. I've never had any pizza place load up toppings like Dewey's and let's praise how they use fresh veggie toppings. Their candied walnut and grape salad is addicting. I liked it so much that lol I ordered the party salad option, which is suppose to feed 10 people, the following week just to enjoy myself. At least I had a lot of greens that week. I think it's that dressing that makes the salad cause I can easily buy the greens, candied walnuts. Even though it's a chain restaurant, I'm honestly glad it's in Kansas. It's the perfect crust, no grease on your hands, really delicious and the amount of toppings make me so happy. They also sell baked goods and it's kinda nice that they have it from a local place so it's not entirely all chain-y. I think it's my favorite pizza place for now. I don't go here often though cause I don't crave pizza usually and it's pretty far from me. Like sometimes I'm like should I just Door Dash this pizza to me? Dewey's possibly cornered the market on fun for the whole family. We're visiting from out of town and my family suggested this because we have three generations to please. Kids can watch the pizza being made (side note: if you're from Indiana this is totally 80s Noble Romans-esque), mom and dad can have a beer and everyone (grandparents) can hear and have a convo. Absolutely delicious! We ordered a large pizza half one way and half another way. Between three of us, we almost ate it all--could have, actually. All kinds of varieties on their menu to choose from. It's a good thing we don't live really close to here. Their crust is the most perfect thing ever and I love the pizza combinations. It makes me so happy that you can order 1/2 & 1/2 on any size pizza because I can never decide what to order. I got the Brooklyn Bomber and Dr. Dre last night. Their pizzas with red sauce are consistently my favorite...the others are all inventive, but on the rare occasion that I gorge on pizza, I just crave a more traditional one. We also had the Cuban at our table... and we wanted Ranch or sauce for dipping on that and the Dre. My son ordered a custom one with Buffalo chicken and really liked it. And I would come back for the Harvest Salad alone... perfectly dressed and delicious. For 3 people with a soda, one glass of wine and one beer, we did end up spending over $90 with tip, so it's pricey, in my opinion...or more likely, we just eat a lot of pizza ;) read more

When in KCMO, Julia R and I always stop by to pay our friends at Dewey's a visit and we're glad we did. We held out on food until we got to town so that we could have the seasonal arugula prosciutto pizza before it switched to the next one. Last night, we sat at the bar and were helped by a lovely bartender who got us set up. It was just a quick stop since we were on our way to a wedding and she accommodated our need to be quick. When the pizza came out, it was fast, piping hot, and you could totally the cook was a veteran pizza maker. It was perfect. It's a white sauce pizza, which for Dewey's is just olive oil and minced garlic and this pizza is covered with prosciutto and red onions, a sprinkle of rosemary, and a deliciously dressed bed of prosciutto. It's literally my favorite. The store is clean and the staff was so friendly. I love that you can see back into the kitchen where your food is being made, but the kids love it more. This Dewey's has happy hours on weekdays and a wine down Wednesday where you can get discounted bottles and glasses. If I lived near, you know where I'd be on Wednesday. Thanks Dewey's! read more

This is my new favorite pizza place. Service is always outstanding and very friendly. I've been there four or five times and tried different beaches every time and have never been disappointed. their salads are amazing as well. I like to try the seasonal ones because they changed about as often as I go in... It's also one of the few places that has red cream soda, which I love! Definitely my go-to a great pizza dinner now. I went to Dewey's for the second time ever a few weeks ago and had such a wonderful experience. I went for lunch and it was just a party of one. I was given VIP treatment from the manager and the servers. They gave me a great recommendation of the seasonal Cuban pizza. It was extremely delicious and the crust was even better. Dewey's was unexpectedly nicer than I'd anticipated; well appointed with a modern sort of "industrial" vibe, but not fancy. I went at the lunch hour with a friend who'd been told how good it was... I had high hopes. There were things I loved about it: --The creative gourmet pizza menu offerings were intriguing and a bit "upscale." -- While the pre-designed options were nice, the menu also offered the ability to create your own pizza for those who might have a less adventurous palate. --The ingredients themselves seemed to be of VERY high quality. --The crust was WONDERFULLY crisp on bottom, but delightfully smooth... not tough or chewy. With those wins in the bank, I have to note the negatives: --The service was very good, but not great. That was disappointing considering how few customers there were. It wasn't bad service by any stretch of the imagination, just not great. --Our pizza didn't seem to stay hot for very long. It was WARM when it arrived, but not hot enough to stay warm for more than a single slice. --There was, for my preference, way too much empty space on the pie. I'm a fella who loves his pizzas to be LOADED with toppings. My buddy and I ordered a large pizza-- half meatball and half porky fig. On both sides there were more bites without cheese than there were with it, and the quantity of meat used seemed to be lacking from what I would have preferred. Maybe that's because it was supposed to be bougie, but at the end of the day, I walked away wishing there had been more substance to the pizza itself. The flavors were very good, but ultimately I was disappointed that I had so much "un-decorated" crust. Would I go there again? Yes... IF I were ALREADY in the area and someone ASKED me to meet them there.
