Ever since, I've been intrigued to come check them out. On this particular day, I had eaten somewhere nearby for lunch, but it wasn't very good and I ended up throwing a decent amount of it away. But I quickly thought about Space City Hotdogs and knew I could salvage my lunch by trying a dog here. And salvage, I did. It was a pretty easy decision which dog to go with: the Texan has BBQ sauce and grilled onions - two things I love 100% of the time. The first reaction I had to when it was put on my table is that it was quite large. The dog was about $10, but you get your money's worth. Toasted Bun = Awesome Hot dog itself = the one miss is that the first bite of it was a bit cold. The rest of it was warmer, but it could have gone to the next level with a bit more heat behind it. Grilled onions = Really good, but maybe just a pinch fewer onions would have been okay too. This thing was *smothered* in onions. Will I come back again? Absolutely. This is a great small business that recently opened and could use your support!

Dogs are just like I remember. Half of the Staff is young high schooler who were loud and talking with their loitering friends the whole time. The other half of the staff were older Mexican ladies who didn't speak English but were at least working and nice. The place was empty. I think there's only a few JCI's left. We ordered two Fajita beef tortas, 2 horchatas, and 3 pastelitos. The cook was very nice and informative, did inform us that our order should be ready in about 10-15 minutes so in the meantime we admired the decorations, snapped some pics and were mesmerized by their amazing chicken laying right on top of the surround sound's speaker, she was still like a stone. The music is lively and nice, definitely got us hyped for our food and then before you know it, our food to-go was ready. Once we arrived home we opened up our containers, the torta was filled with fresh ingredients and the horchata was super sweet. The pastelitos were not my personal favorite but other then that the torta was delicious. The prices are a little higher than what I comfortably like to pay but since their pricing looks like it's mostly based on the area's median income. If you've ever been to Mexico you know they do burgers with a different touch and La Casa De las Carnitas did NOT disappoint. The burger comes with ham, pineapple, and a secret sauce that leaves you wanting more. . I also got the Papas Locas with the carne asada. They give you a hefty portion and the refried beans were a nice addition!!! They weren't listed under the description so I was surprised, but the beans definitely balanced out the dish. There is also many different salsas to choose from. My personal favorites were the Chile de árbol and Salsa macha. I do have to warn y'all that the salsa macha is their spiciest one so if that isn't your jam avoid it. The árbol sauce can be spicy, but there are creamy inclusions which helps counter the heat. The owners are super friendly and service was pretty quick. I can't wait to return and try their carnitas as well as other menu items. The food truck is located in a bar that hold different events and has a variety of drinks which creates the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a drink with great food.
