While this shop doesn't specialize in over-the-top, gourmet-style donuts, it makes up for it with quality, value, and cleanliness. Dey's Doughnuts is my favorite morning stop! I usually order an iced coffee (seriously, it's better than Dunkin and Starbucks); it's always smooth and icy cold, and Dey's house-made brown sugar sweetener is on another level, so sweet and delicious. I love lingering for a bit and watching the news while I grab my coffee. The shop is always a great start to the day. This is my go-to place for coffee and doughnuts when I'm working in the area. Dey's is small, no-frills, but has fresh doughnuts, croissants, coffee, and other refrigerated drinks. Love their coffee station, which provides several flavors of creamers, and all the usual stuff. The service is always fast and friendly. Most people seem to just grab-n-go, so there's always plenty of parking in the private lot. Best Apple Fritter I have ever had, and I eat a lot of them. The place is super clean and sanitary as well. It is like a Michelen star restaurant in there, all white, clean and minimal. Staff was a sweet older woman who smiled the whole time. Reminded me of a loving abuelita. Ok, the fitter...crisp exterior, soft interior but well cooked (not raw in any parts). Just the right amount of glaze on it and great color, not too dark. I told you I eat a lot of these. The filling wasn't too sweet. I had my eye on the massive buttermilk bars, but I'll have to save that for next time.
