This is a pick out your pie and take to go place. There is nowhere to sit down. About 5 different pies to choose from. Pretty expensive for a slice or a whole pie. Also you need to pay for parking in this lot , but they do validate. read more

The most beautiful pie shop and such tasty pie! Surprisingly, my favorite pie here is the Southern Pecan Pie. You can't even tell it's gluten-free but an added bonus that it is since my wife has Celiac! I also really love the Carolina Classic Cherry Pie and candy bar pies like the Milky Way Pie. Pick up your pie and walk to the other side of the building for a view of the marina while you enjoy your sweet treat! read more

This location is almost unbeatable except for parking. It can be a bit annoying. This lot feels very quickly, and there is a valet, but there are limited self parking spots. However, the first two hours are free with validation so if you can find a spot it will be free. Inside there are tables, but it's more of it to go type of place that serves full and pie slices. They also have mini pies in all different sizes and shapes. They have a rotating seasonal flavor menu as well as some main stays. The service was actually very polite and quick when we arrived and we are the only ones in during our visit. It is a bit expensive for pie, but given that this is something I don't get often I would still recommend it pricewise. I will say that is not my favorite pie that I've had in Los Angeles nor is it as good as my girlfriend's homemade but it is still very nice. The strawberry cheesecake and the cherry pie were both very good, although not my favorites. I like how you can get a slice of pie instead of a whole so for that reason, it is a great option and I would recommend. read more

14 dollars for a very small gluten free pie. Ok, I'll splurge and give it a try. If it's delicious it could be a worthwhile spot to come for a treat once in a while. What I got was a hard crust that was difficult to break even with a metal spoon, mediocre mixed berry filling that seemed quite bland, the whole bottom tin part was covered in goop of some kind making it messy as heck to even hold or deal with it. Given how overpriced it was for a mid-to-bad tiny pie, I don't see why I'd ever return here. read more

Since we were grabbing coffee next door, I decided to stop in and check out the pies since I thought they'd go well with the coffee. It's a very light and bright store with all of their pies and treats on display. The two young ladies working were very friendly and helpful in going over the various pie flavors and types. We decided on a freshly baked Carolina Classic Cherry Pie. They are expensive, over $9 for a slice and $62 for a full pie. But the pie was delicious so I guess that's the price the market demands. read more

Really fun place. I tried the key lime pie. It was ok, I wish it had more of a lime punch/flavor. I tried a colleagues chocolate cowboy and it was very good if you love chocolate. My other colleagues said they liked their pies but I didn't taste them. If you're in the mood for pie or dessert and are in the area I'd check it out but don't have super high expectations. The staff were really nice and answered all of our questions. We ate our pies at the steps outside looking at the water as the sun was setting. read more

I would regularly go to the Brentwood and West Hollywood locations. My go to flavors are the Chocolate Cowgirl Pie (5 stars) and the Carolina Classic Cherry Pie (4 stars). The Chocolate Cowgirl is reminiscent of a brownie in pie form with the cracked top and fudgy center. The cherry pie has just the right amount of sweetness. I also got the Key West Lime Pie (3 stars), which I remember loving a lot more at the other locations. The graham cracker crust on the outer edge was too thick. The Summer Berry Crumble (4 stars) included strawberries and blueberries. It had an oat crumble on top like the other seasonal crumbles. I like that Winston usually offers a gluten free and vegan option. There are different berries throughout the year like cranberries during fall and winter. This is one was of the better crumbles that they have offered. Even though the overall quality of the pies was the same, the service (1 star) was better and friendlier at the other locations. As soon as I entered with other customers, there were no smiles. Our entrance seemed like a nuisance. They were more concerned about prepping the pie boxes as they reluctantly asked if we needed help. They also forgot to pack utensils when they offered them. Since the last time we came, the parking lot now is paid with Tesla chargers on the right side. Unfortunately, this means limited self parking. We parked on the Trader Joe's side and walked over. Pies are a treat here with the mini hand pies. We got the pecan pie this time around. They're decadent and befits the price. We usually divide the mini hand pies into fours to fit our calories/macros. Service was good. Two associates behind counter. Huge space, could be smaller. read more

I love pies so I was excited to try this place but I was left feeling underwhelmed. We got the Chocolate Cowgirl in the mini pie version which serves 1-2 people. It was dry and didn't taste fresh. I can imagine it being amazing if it were fresh though! It was rich, chocolatey, fudgey, almost like a brownie and had a unique salty oat crust. I liked that it wasn't too sweet...If only it werent' so dry! I had a hard time eating more than one bite. Also for the size and quality, I felt that it was overpriced at a little over $13. So ok, the pie is really really good, the crust is rather amazing, the apples are very cooked and nice and gooey. But $60 for a pie? Is this what we've come to? To answer my own question, yes, this is what we've come to. Have always enjoyed Marie Callendar's pies (they're closing all stores now, so whatever) but in comparison with Winston pies, MC is a fast-food substitute. The apple pie was quite quite quite good. On Saturday May 2, 2026 I purchased three mini pies. Two apple and one mixed berry. One of the apple pies was for my 94 mother who is in the hospital in Marina Del Rey. I was disappointed that when I cut into it it was mostly dough and hardly any fruit. For the amount of money I spent I expected better and what was more disappointing was that I emailed the company about my experience and that after 48 hours no response. Walked in today and got a mini mixed berry pie. It looked delicious- but I was sadly disappointed by the muted flavors. I feel like a carton of mixed berries would have been more flavorful. Hole-in-the-wall cafe with no indoor seating, and they only do one thing- pies. They've got a decent variety, from chocolate to banana to apple, and even seasonal options like pumpkin. First of all, no prices are listed, so I was shocked when two slices of pie plus tip cost me $25. For two slices! That's insane. I picked the chocolate and apple pies, and let me tell you-what a letdown. The chocolate pie was disgusting. It tasted like one of those cheap, oily brownies you'd grab at Ralph's for a couple of bucks. It was way too sweet and went straight into the trash. The apple pie was actually pretty good. I liked it a lot. But for what I paid, I'd recommend going to The Apple Pan in West L.A. instead. Their apple pie is better and costs less. I've been looking forward to visiting this location for a while and was very disappointed with the customer service. I was not sure how the dynamic of the restaurant worked and my partner asked "are there any samples?" As a response, the employee stated "no. I'm not sure how you could even sample Pie." Although we understand there are no samples, the comment was unwarranted and sarcastic, didn't make us feel welcomed. Overall, pie was ok and cold. Beautiful location though. I came here when they first opened and ordered a whole Berry pie for my friend's birthday. It was $60, which is pricey, but I thought it would be worth it. It wasn't. While the oat crumble topping and crust were unique, the pie was kind of runny and the berries didn't taste fresh. We were a party of 10 people, and over half the pie went into the trash. Most people had a few bites and didn't care for it. Fast forward to more recent times, I was passing by with some friends and they wanted to try it out. I figured I'd give them a second chance. This time we got a slice of the pumpkin pie and a mini Chocolate Cowgirl. The pumpkin pie was dry and bland. The Chocolate Cowgirl was actually pretty good, it was like a brownie in pie form. What was really bad though on the recent visit was the service. The server was rude and unfortunately snapped at me when I was asking questions about the pie. I was shocked and offended. The shop is for takeout only and consists of a counter and display case. There isn't really any seating. This Winston pies customer service is horrendous. On Monday oct 28th, I ordered online 2 5" strawberry rhubarb, 1 5" key lime, 1 slice pumpkin pie and 1 slice cookie dough pie for puckup @ 2:15pm. At 11:03am, I got a call from Winston pie telling me they are out of strawberry rhubarb. Since I was at a hospital getting a mri at the time, I told them I'm busy atm so just refund the 2 strawberry rhubarb and I'll come pickup the rest of the order later. They said ok. 2 days later, they never refunded my credit card so I tried calling but no one ever picks up so I tried email, another 2 days of no reply. Is like this store is ok to forget about you as long as they have your money already. Their pies are good but not good enough to recieve this type of customer service. read more

I love the idea of a pie shop and one opening up on the west side was exciting because there seems to have been a dearth of pie places. I mean how often can you go to a place that specializes in pies without trying to breach the gauntlet of central LA traffic? The shop setup is minimal and clean, a long display case & counter, no seating. The ladies behind the counter were friendly & helpful in explaining what some of the pie names were. Most pies are sold as whole (eye-wateringly expensive), by slice (more wallet-friendly) or as a mini (a bit more expensive but palatable). We decided on a slice of mixed berry, and two mini-pies: a chocolate cowgirl (sorta like a fudgey brownie) & key west lime. All of these pies were good. Not great, but good. The filling of the chocolate was quite dense, perfect for a few bites to tame the sweet tooth, and lasted several days. The mixed berry seemed to be blueberries and raspberries tossed with molasses and baked with a rolled oat crumble on top. This was a pie difficult to eat. The raspberries left a tremendous amount of seeds and the oats were extremely tough leading to a lot of aching teeth and scrapes to the roof of my mouth. It's a nice concept, adding whole oats to a pie (they made an appearance in the cowgirl as well) but practically speaking it was a misfire. I'd suggest using a seedless raspberry jam with whole blueberries next time and go easy on the molasses as it's taste was notable and a bit off putting in spots. And for the sake of soft palate find a way to soften those oats! They're like the equivalent of crust shrapnel. The standout here by far was the key lime. A rich custard with a strong citrus tang and in a mouth-friendly traditional graham cracker crumb crust. The success of that makes me want to come back and try the pumpkin which has a similar build. Selling pies in this neighborhood (at a price point which reflects what is no doubt an outrageously high rent) is a bold choice and you'd better be making some high-end product if you hope to keep afloat in this economy. Have you ever been to a business for the first time and wondered afterward how this place is still in business?! Well this is one of those businesses! I found this place through yelp not only because I thought they had delicious pies but I also thought they serve coffees too.... Unfortunately I was wrong with both of my assumptions! I walked in around 8:30 on a Friday night! The place was empty eventhough all other restaurants were packed full, so right there was a red flag. The employee was on her phone and upon me walking in she greeted me. I asked her what their specielty was and she basically went over all of their different pie flavors which was no more than a few flavors I guess which was really odd. I was expecting different fruit pies but nope not at this place. I opted for their chocolate pie since it was the only option that sounded good at the time. To my surprise instead of giving me a fresh piece out of the pie, the girl picks a piece of pie that had already been placed in a box. I was so exhausted after a 10 hour shift work that I didn't bother to tell her that I don't want a pre-packed piece. Also, I didn't see any espresso machine which was a bummer..... The cost of a piece of pie was $9.50 including the tip which seemed alot but whatever. I always like to tip people whenever possible. Upon getting home and opening the box, the pie seemed so NOT fresh and dry and it had seemed like it had fallen on the floor couple of times since the top was not smooth and really not appealing at all. I literally took just ONE bite and threw it away.... It not only looked awful, it also tasted old and dry and not fresh.... So that is when I thought to myself: "How in the World is this place still in Business???" The 2 star is because the inside was nice and the packaging was cute and THAT is about it! I wanted to like this place. The staff is VERY nice and friendly and the pies look delicious and super cute. I even briefly talked to a very happy customer as they walked out. I bought two super-cute mini pies: cherry (for my husband who had been craving cherry pie for a week) and apple (for me). Husband didn't like it. I was sort of offended on Winston Pie's behalf because I had been so willing to pay the $13 per pie and they were CUTE! So I asked: why don't you like it? I paid $13 for your little serving! He said: the dough is thick and chewy and the cherries not the best So a couple of hours later I tried my apple pie and unfortunately I was also disappointed.... It was dry, dough thick and chewy and.... I spotted mold in the very middle in the apples Anyways... I threw away the pie after I saw the mold. I love apples pies!, this pie however did not meet my expectations when I first saw it. The whole pie is beautiful....the crust attracted me the most. The pie is a bit tarty which is ok if you pair with ice cream. My main disappointment was the apple filling. It was mushy almost to the point of Apple sauce. So I'm being honest. This place is not good. It's frigging GREAT! The apple pie taste like my Mothers homemade pie. The crust is so buttery, so crunchy and so pleasing to the palette. The apples were smooth and sweet, not tart and just a wonderful flavor profile. Forget everything else in LA. If you want homemade pie this is the place. Not cheap but worth every penny. This pie shop opened up in the marina and I had to try it out. I got it during thanksgiving and they have a great system of ordering when it comes to this holiday season. You need to place your order in advance and you'll have a set pick up time. Make sure to order well in advance because they do sell out! I got the pecan pie and it tasted great, but I don't think I would order again because of the steep price. It was around $60 for a whole pie and my family did enjoy it, but it is quite steep price for 1 pie. They are very much standard for a Winston Pies, which is to say, excellent pie, wonderful ambiance, and efficient and friendly service. But they are also priced accordingly, and this location is a bit rougher than some others, as there's basically no seating, parking is pretty much only a pay lot, and the whole vibe seems like it should be more than a pick-up/to-go only place. Which, to be fair, is not what Winston Pies aims to be, but this location left me feeling incomplete. 3.5 stars, reaching for 4, but not sure I like this particular location enough to round up. read more

I've tried this place 3 times, I've been majorly let down 2 out of 3 visits. The first pie I ever tried was their chocolate cowgirl - it was very good. I tried their seasonal cookie dough pie next. It had a giant clump of baking soda (or something like that) in it. I didn't realize until it was in my mouth and it was SO bad. There were other chunks of it through out the pie. Completely inedible. I visited one last time today. I got a cherry pie. The cherries have no flavor nor does the crust. The crust wasn't flaky, just this chewy bland favor. Zero tang in the cherries. It doesn't even taste like cherries. I didn't even finish it - AFTER wasting $11. You can get a better tasting cherry pie at Ralph's for $10. I won't be back, unfortunately. I don't remember the pies my husband tried, but this 3rd visit he didn't even want one. read more

Came here to learn that this is their second location now in the Marina, their first is in Brentwood. They have a couple of options for pies including hand pies, pies by the slice, small sized pies, and whole pies. I ordered the small sized key lime pie and it was pretty good. We also got free coffee samples which paired with the pie well! It's slightly expensive though, I paid about $14 for a small sized pie but for taste and quality it might be worth it for some. read more

I recently visited Winston's Pie and they were absolutely delicious! The ladies operating the shop were also patient with my indecisiveness. The shop does feel a bit large for the few pies there but it was quiet and near the marina (perfect for eating pie and catching those sunset views). I highly recommend the chocolate cowgirl! My favorite part of cherry pie is how you get both sweetness and tartness from the cherries. This tasted so bland. Vons has better cherry pie than this.
