I think it's time for ya'll to update your online menu because there's no way I would pay $150 for cream cheese frosting. I know this is a typo!

The service, the ambiance and the food "Great". I haven't been here in years and now that I'm back on the west... I had to revisit this place. It just as I remembered and the dishes are still hitting'. Definitely a must to make a spot here if you're in LA. Vegans are welcome... you won't be disappointed. Good spot as my go to here... My daughter was so excited to bring us here. She's been here a few times. We don't live close and so it's a bit of a drive but so worth it. Service was friendly. Our server was great.. When I really enjoy food, it's not just delicious, it's DA-LICIOUS! We sat outside instead of inside so I don't know what the inside looks like. It was a beautiful sunny day in LA so had to sit outside instead. We ordered the blueberry and lemon waffle breakfast, a banana nut waffle, vanilla latte. AMAZING. We also got Vegetarian omelet and chocolate waffles that were also Yummy!! Wish this place was close to us but we'll definitely return.

I was so excited to try a waffle spot that has GF/V option. I believe they used corn meal in their GF option because it is a corn bread texture, very crumbly. Presentation was nice and they offer half or full order. Unfortunately, did not like the texture. (Not the kind i have tried in other spots that are airy/fluffy inside, little crisp on the outside.) I also tried their house made maple sausage and it was just ok. My Hubby did enjoy his regular pancake

My in laws pass this place every weekend, so we decided to finally give it a try while visiting. The restaurant itself is super cute from the outside and offers both outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor area has a really fun retro diner vibe that makes the place feel unique. The line honestly was not too bad for a Saturday morning, but the service took forever. It took a long time just to get seated because one girl was handling check ins, checking table availability, and seating everyone herself. Once we sat down, it also took awhile to place our order and we quickly realized asking for anything extra probably was not going to happen. I will say they do have a lot of plant-based breakfast and lunch options, which my husband appreciated. Overall though, for the amount of waiting, the food was painfully mid. Nothing bad, but nothing spectacular or mind blowing either.

Mimosa Flights, Breakfast Plate with Biscuits & Gravy, and Waffle Sandwich!

The Waffle is a great location for quality brunch in Hollywood! You know how sometimes the closer you live to something, the longer it takes for you to actually end up visiting it?! This is one of those spots that I always see when walking or driving in Hollywood, and yet despite living nearby, hadn't actually gone until recently. What I found was that I have definitely been missing out!! Visiting for brunch on a Sunday afternoon, there was a bit of a wait, but still got some patio seating in nearly no time at all. I personally really enjoy the vibes here and being able to street watch/people watch from its expansive patio space, amply covered with umbrellas for shading. Service was very quick and friendly, with the mimosa flights we ordered being brought out so fast! The food itself is generously portioned and very delicious! I did a breakfast plate and upgraded the biscuit to one that's basically biscuits & gravy, which was SOOO good! The rest of the plate was very solid breakfast items. My partner loves the waffle sandwiches here and gets them for lunch sometimes - and this visit was nothing different when it came to him thoroughly enjoying it! We left in a great mood from the various mimosa flavors in the flights, the hearty plates of food that left us full AND with plenty of leftovers to finish off later that day! If you're hanging out in Hollywood and wondering where to have brunch or lunch, this is definitely the spot!

I found this place online bc my husband was craving waffles during our trip. We parked on the street nearby the building. We sat outside since the weather was nice and they had umbrellas on the table. Indoor seating was packed anyways but the place was clean. We both got the waffle flights. We enjoyed the tres leches, chococolate, chocolate chip and red velvet. The size was cute, and we liked that we were able to try a variety. The waffles were soft but also had crisp edges, and were very filling. I also got the lemon blueberry but wasn't a huge fan of it. Portions were decent for the price. For drinks we both got the mocha and it was good, nothing crazy or extraordinary. Not sure if they were short staffed, but service was a bit slow. The menu has a good variety.

Classic Malted Belgian Waffle. Slightly sweet and subtly nutty with crisp edges and a soft interior. Goes great with syrup and butter.

Stopped by for breakfast and was seated right away (no line) on a Friday morning. However, not much time went by before noticing this place was quickly filling up... THE FOOD. - Cowboy Chili Scramble. Flavorful and mildly spiced chili went well with the scrambled eggs. The country potatoes were great with chopped bell peppers and onions for added texture. I enjoyed this breakfast meal a lot. - Three Egg Breakfast. There are several options to choose from, but we went with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, sausage patties, and house sausage gravy biscuit. The biscuit was completely stale, so our waitress got another one. Loved the sausage gravy's rich flavor and creamy texture! - Classic Malted Belgian Waffle. Slightly sweet and subtly nutty with crisp edges and a soft interior. Goes great with syrup and butter. THE DRINKS. - Latte. Substituted with oat milk. Rich, frothy goodness! - Coffee. Medium blend. Good. THE VIBE. Cozy in an office building, this restaurant sits on the ground floor with an outdoor dining patio. There are half booths that wrap around the restaurant's perimeter and even larger booths can seat at least 4 people, if not more. Floor to ceiling windows frame in views of the surrounding office buildings. THE PARKING. Street parking available. THE RETURN. Yep, I'd return to try out other breakfast dishes.

A friend and I visited The Waffle for the first time a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it! Our server was helpful and gave us great recommendations. I had a buffalo chicken and potato bowl (can't remember the exact name), and it was delicious. My friend's traditional breakfast was also really good. We tried the mimosa flight too! Fun idea, but I'd recommend getting orange juice in all of them since the flavored options didn't have much taste. Overall, great food and service!

Dinner was $70 per person and consisted entirely of shared plates. It turned out to be plenty of food. We started with the roasted shishito peppers and the crispy pork belly. That pork belly was the best dish of the night - absolutely delicious. Next came the chickpea fritters, which were also really good. The roasted beet salad was up next. I hate beets. But I still liked this. I wouldn't order it again because, yeah, I really don't like beets. But if you like them even a little, you should get this. I actually ate several bites of this, and it was nice. The Sichuan Chili Bass presented a similar situation as I don't really like fish - but again, I ate this and it was quite tasty. Dessert was a "s'mores" situation - a messy, glorious bowl of chocolate, meringue, graham cracker crunch and strawberries. Service was awesome - perfectly pacing the meal. My friend had a couple of cocktails which were gorgeous. And the room is lovely and light. I don't love the neighborhood and parking can be tough. I definitely would come early unless you're taking a taxi. Genuinely surprised how much I liked this meal. Everything was very well done and clearly made with care without seeming fussy or too precious. Highly recommend and would definitely come back. This is a place to take your out-of-town friends to.

Tapioca spaghetti was interesting (even though there's no tapioca, right?) but had a small complaint that the noodle was a little hard. Some like, some don't. Crispy potatoes - crunchy on the outside, soft inside. It hit the spot, one of the best crispy potatoes that I can remember. Bing butter & honey was a favorite too. Drinks were solid, ube pina colada didn't taste as good as it looks, but it's a lot of purple fun. Yuzu lemonade was refreshing. The missing 1 star is a mix of small gripes: the pork chop (a little dry inside), hard noodle, ube pina colada looked better than it tasted, and it's a little pricey for the amount of food. Manuela is absolutely charming. Their whole indoor, outdoor feel is such a lovely concept. I went…read morefor brunch but will be back for dinner and want to sit on the patio. Parking: there's valet and several of lots but watch out for the $5 small print. I went 2 blocks up by the residential area and was able to find parking on a Saturday around 12pm. For drinks, i had a classic Aperol Spritz, which was very nice and refreshing. But I had to try Florida Man because of these ingredients (blueberry rested Ilegal mezcal, Lo-Fi vermouth, lemon, African basil). They have a really good beverage program, and I would like to come back more for drinks and try the Bro over Tomatoes. For food, I got the pop over benedict, honestly, I didn't know what I was expecting because I was assuming a regular benedict, but it was the most beautiful presention and delicious hollandaise sauce i've ever had in my life! The hollandaise has a little spice to it that blended well with the creaminess. I also had that barbecue oysters, which is basically oyster rockefeller. I really how they have fun names of their drinks as well as their food. The service were absolutely delightful. My server made me laugh. When I asked him, what should I get between one or the other drink, and he suggested, why not get one after the other which made me chuckle. A definitely a great sales person.

This is a very cool / beautiful restaurant, but unfortunately I felt that the value and service…read morewere lacking, the service in particular. The food was overall tasty, although I felt my steak was tougher than usual for the price point. The shrimp ceviche, although good quality and refreshing, had a slightly bitter taste to it (more so than the usual citrus tang) which I felt detracted from the overall flavor. It kind of felt like there were too many ingredients to it which detracted from the tasty simplicity that the dish is known for, although that is just my opinion and someone else may enjoy it more. The service on the other hand was not particularly good. Our waitress came off as slightly standoffish when asked about gluten free options and failed to refill our water cups multiple times throughout the meal, to the point my partner had to get up and do it herself. The sneaky 4% service charge automatically added to the bill also left a bad taste in my mouth. I have always been of the mind that the responsibility of compensating staff adequately falls on the business, not the public, and any extra tip is for good service and should remain optional by the customer, especially when they charge this much for basic entrees. Our bill came out to over $100 for two people (2 dishes, 1 shared appetizer, no drinks besides water) for breakfast. Overall I'd give this place 3.5 stars, worth checking out, but probably not worth frequenting often. Ambiance is an 8.5/10, the food was about a 7/10, the value was a 6/10, and the service was a 5/10. The food was solid, the ambiance was nice, the value is average to below average, and the service could use a little work. That being said, it's a nice place worth checking out, just make sure you ask to have that 4% charge removed from your bill, and tip accordingly.

It is our first time here but we had tried…read moretheir kare-kare tamale and ube cheese cake at food festival... so, we were quite excited to dine here. The menu is simple but creative, perfect blend of Filipino and Spanish cuisine. Inasal cesar salad: calamansi dressing is refreshing. Grilled chicken is perfectly grilled add a nice twist to the salad. Kare-kare tamale: signature dish. The braised oxtail is so moist and tender..the veloute sauce is milky. Bucatini and rigatoni are also so yummy. We can't decide the winner. Bucatini is spicy. Rigatoni is milky and buttery... so you decide. Grilled escabeche white fish: the fish is moist with crispy skin. Ribeye is melt in my mouth. For desert, panna cotta is a.perfect ending of a beautiful dinner. Every dish.is beautifully presented. The service is impeccable. There is paid parking across from the restaurant for $10. It is probably one of the best meal we had this year. If you have not been here, Sampa should be on your bookmark to check out.

First time dining here. Decided to try it out for Dine LA week. What a way to elevate Filipino cuisine for western palates. Parking: paid lot directly across the restaurant for $10 for the day. Street parking was extremely limited. Service: Jaden was our server and he was attentive with checking in on us. We had ordered a steak, but did not receive a steak knife. We tried to get by with the butter knife at the table, but obviously it did not pan out well. Our server was occupied with another table, so I was patiently waiting to make eye contact. Miraculously another server saw my desperate eyes and before I could even raise my hand or say "excuse me" to flag her down, she came right over with a SMILE no less (!!!) and asked how she could help. That level of attentiveness was very much appreciated. Even the tall white guy came to clear our plates. I don't know what he does, because at the end of the meal, we saw him hauling in and hand-carrying 5 bags of ice. The level of hustle across the team is obvious and helps round out the experience of dining out and choosing to spend money on a dining experience. Even the bus boys were attentive with filling our water cups, which was quite appreciated. Can't say any more good things about the service and truly appreciated our server Jaden because he seemed so personable to have a genuine conversation while running around. Really seems like a hard worker. Ambiance: kudos to whoever set the playlist for Friday night -- Kaytranada songs came up a couple times and really helped to set the mood to kick off my weekend.

I personally don't mind the walk. My only complaint is that I had no idea that dogs were allowed in this restaurant. There was a couple sitting next to me with a small dog that kept staring at me eat the entire time. It made me uncomfortable and a bit sad but it was tolerable. Everything was fine until the dog got on top of the table and I immediately became disgusted. Dogs are lovely but shouldn't be allowed inside the restaurant for this very reason. Let this be a reminder to always ask (nicely) if your table can be cleaned before you enjoy your meal!

My husband and I loved everything about our meal, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and memorable. The bluefin tuna toast was a standout, beautifully presented with a delicious smoky flavor and kaluga caviar. The hamachi crudo brought a fresh brightness to the meal and was the perfect contrast to some of the richer dishes. The tableside Dover sole was an experience in itself, and the lobster campanelle had such unique and wonderful flavors. Everything was outstanding, but what made the evening especially memorable was the combination of exceptional food, impeccable service, and the warm atmosphere. République made my birthday feel truly special. We had an incredible evening and can't wait to return!
