I'm posting a review for their dog walking services. I would NOT RECOMMEND. I cancelled all future walks with them earlier this week. I have used them twice a day at the same times every day for the last 1-1.5 months with the same walker, although I met a backup walker at some point just in case the first was unavailable. During this time they have been fairly disorganized with incorrect pricing which I have been pretty lenient on, just correcting it and moving on with my day. Tuesday was the final straw. They made a change in the schedule without telling me and allowed some stranger (whom I have never met and who has never met my two German shepherds before) to enter my home alone, without my permission or knowledge, and walk my dogs at the wrong time of day as well. Not good because my dogs are on medications that make them pee a lot so we have to specifically time their walks to prevent accidents. More importantly, if something happened to the walker in my house because dogs can be territorial to strangers in their house, I WOULD BE LIABLE. The owner, Olga, said it was an honest mistake and said she thought I had met this walker before but now sees in my files that I met someone else. I'm sure it was an honest mistake but I also don't really care because in the end, this was a huge violation of my privacy. Olga assured me she wouldn't charge me for this walk, which is laughable because I wasn't planning on paying for it. Beware of this company. read more

This organization saved the day for me. I'd just had a very disappointing experience with another Petsitting service and reached out to them very late in the evening 48 hours ahead of my trip. They have many modes of communication, but I used text since I was very nervous. Someone got back to me immediately (at 10 pm!) and reassured me that I would be taken care of. I was assigned a sitter and had a meet and greet scheduled by the next morning. My sitter was Sidney Adams, who is an absolute sweetheart. My special needs babies took to her immediately. She sent me photos and communicated in length each morning as we agreed. Both the coordinators (I think the owners are the ones who text and arrange things) and the sitter were incredibly communicative and really kind. They clearly understand how to handle pets and their parents appropriately, and I felt safe knowing that my little buddies were in their care. read more

We've been using DFW Pet Sitting for a little over a year, and our regular sitter (Pat) has done a fantastic job with both walks/drop-in visits and overnight stays. She's sat for our two dogs for quick weekend trips all the way up to a 12-day trip when we were in Europe. We have a Nest cam and one of my favorite things to do is see how excited our girls get when Pat shows up. We even had Pat come by to walk them on Saturdays during our heavy marathon training...you know, those days when you run 17 miles and just can't bear to walk another mile with your dogs...ha ha. After many AWFUL experiences with Rover, we decided we were "getting what we paid for" and decided to try a company with actual paid employees and corporate guidelines. Not every sitter is right for every client (that's why the meet & greet is so critical), and not every sitter is a good fit for the company. I believe feedback is VERY important, but I also believe that one bad apple doesn't necessarily reflect the entire company. We've used three sitters with DFW Pet Sitting, and only one gave me pause...and I provided that feedback to management. HORRIBLE experience with this company!!!!!!! Coming back from our trip we found out that NOBODY actually took care of our fur babies and they were out of food for probably a day and a half and they had barely any water left. Needless to say the litter boxes were a mess too. I called the owner of the company right away upon arriving at our house when we found out and she told me she would let me know what happened. Apparently there was a family emergency so nobody actually came to check on them. What if we were gone 3 extra days?? Emergencies can happen but it should be the company's responsibility to check on their employees to see if the visit went okay. Our sitter missed TWO days. How does that go unnoticed?? Want to know what freaks me out the most? There is now a "new" policy to check on the visits but if you look back at reviews on Angie's List in 2012 the owner specifically talks about having a system so that missed visits are caught the same day. Olga and DFW Pet sitting worked with me to establish a solid plan for my 12 year old Lab. She has never been alone in those 12 years, so they arranged a pre-visit to get her comfortable with the sitters. We just finished our first week and I can tell my little girl loves the walkers! They text when they're arriving, during the visit and when they leave. She's adjusted so well and they 2 walkers I have are fantastic! This is a professional, caring organization who listens to their clients. I would high recommend this service and, in fact, have passed them to to my friends and co-worker. From the start of getting contacted directly by a manager and/or the owner, meeting a sitter face to face to know who would take care of my fur babies and continued contact with my sitter throughout the entire vacation. When deciding on a professional service that comes into your home to take care of your pets, you have to have a sense of trust from 2 aspects: the aspect of taking care of your beloved pets when you are away, in addition to the aspect of someone having access to your home. I have been using DFW Pet Sitting Services since October 2018. I am very happy with Traci who has been my pet sitter including most recently, April 2019. I have a comfort with having the same pet sitter each time. I live in Flower Mound and like that Traci lives very close by and that she has been assigned to all of my service requests. We've been using DFW Pet Sitting for about 3 years now, and highly recommend them. When we first moved to Dallas, we had no family or friends here, so we relied on co-workers to feed and water our cats. Well, that didn't work out so great, so we decided to try DFW Pet Sitting and we're so glad we did. My dearly departed kitties used to be so needy and frantic after leaving them in the care of our co-workers (who only provided their basic needs) that we knew we needed another solution to ease our concerns and keep them happy. Natalia is our primary cat-sitter, and she is wonderful! I moved to DFW about 1 year ago and knew I would need someone to walk my dog during the day while I was at work. I did my research and spoke/met with several companies and finally decided to go with DFW. I had Shelly has my first sitter (and is still my backup sitter). She is wonderful and my dog loves his walks with her. I had a couple other sitters, no major issues. The only complaint/concern I had one time was the length of a visit. I received a call from both Paula and Olga and they made sure that they addressed all concerns and everything was resolved. I travel frequently and have a great group of sitters to take care of him while I am gone and during the week when I am at work. Samantha is his regular sitter and she is great with sending pictures of him or letting me know if someone else will be there that day. If I am working late one day, she will even add on an extra visit at the last moment, which is fantastic! I now feel very at ease leaving him in everyone at DFW's hands knowing they love him almost as much as me! read more

I started using DFW Pet Sitting Services years ago when my aging pets needed additional care when I traveled out of town. I had always boarded them before but the stress on them as they got older was too much. The coordination of dates is easy - I would email my request and always receive a prompt response. They would always confirm my dates, times, requirements, and cost in an email as well. When first working with them, they sent someone to my home to meet my pet and get instructions from me in person so both of us felt comfortable. Over time, I found a consistent sitter that was always great about giving updates while I was gone and even sent me texts and videos of my pets at play (or rest!). She was always flexible with times to meet my needs. Payment and key coordination is easy. I couldn't put a price on my pets being so well cared for while I traveled. I lost both of my pets in the last year and the owner and my sitter both sent me sweet messages when I let them know - I knew they really cared! Didn't have the best experience! I went out of town twice last month, and since I'm new to the area, this was much easier and cheaper than taking them to a kennel. But I think I'll do that from now on. For starters, my pet sitter, Teresa, was 45 minutes late to our initial consultation. She only showed up after I called and emailed the company several times. The company never responded or followed-up to make sure she arrived, and Teresa never offered an explanation or apology for being late. She also seemed a little unprepared and also unaware of company policies/payments/etc. Which was a little weird. I could have easily gotten over that. The two trips combined to 6 total days that I was away and Teresa was watching my two dogs. I asked for pictures each time, but of those 6 days, I only ever got one. One!! And it was a blurry one while they were eating. I miss my dogs while I am out of town and want to see them having fun without me!!! I could have also gotten over that...eventually. Teresa never texted me to give me updates. If I wanted to know how my pets were doing, I had to text her. Sometimes it would take her hours to respond. Which was annoying. I could have also gotten over that. I only crate one of my dogs. The younger one. He has a tendency to chew on things if left unsupervised because he is still in puppy mode. He also is able to escape his crate if you do not lock it correctly. I warned Teresa of this. He has only done that once with me in my new apartment, so I didn't think it would be a big deal.Yet both weekends she was watching my dog, he escaped and chewed on a bunch of my things. Two pairs of shoes, a very nice throw blanket, my TV antenna, and several other small items of clothing. So now I'm wondering if she wasn't locking the door correctly? Was he not getting enough exercise while she was here that he was just absolutely desperate to get out? I don't get it. I've left him for longer periods of time than the scheduled times Teresa was supposed to come by, and he's been perfectly fine. (Please note, I have only ever done that once or twice in emergency situations). The first time it happened, Zeus pulled every single blanket and toy into his crate. Teresa locked him back up in there with hardly any room to lay down, and with my other dog stuck outside without a single toy. Why?? That's super weird?? Why not just pull all that crap about before sticking him back in there? He also scraped up his nose pretty badly and it is now a pretty decent scab. Again, in both situations, Teresa did not alert me to the fact that he had escaped and eaten some of my things. I'm not mad that he chewed on my stuff. It's no big deal. They're just things and can be easily replaced. I can easily get over that. What upset about is the very consistent lack of communication. Not just from Teresa, but from the owners. How hard is it to send me an update text once a day? Telling me all the bad they did but also all the good? When I called to complain, I got the feeling the owner was unimpressed, unapologetic, and mostly just annoyed she even had to deal with this. The whole time, she also seemed to think the only reason I was angry because Teresa didn't tell me about the chewed up shoes. Umm no. Those are replaceable. I'm mad about the whole communication process and lack of customer service. Everything that happened was minor and small and not that big of a deal. But add them all up, and I'm annoyed and pissed. On the very front page of their website, it says: "You prefer your pet sitter or dog walker to be LOCAL, to be someone you can TRUST, and someone who will COMMUNICATE with you 24/7 while you are away from your babies." In big bold letters. The words COMMUNICATE. If it's something they're so proud of to make it so prominent, why isn't it something they actually do? Or why isn't it something they follow up on more consistently when they get a report that it isn't working? I understand that other people have had great experiences and just because I didn't doesn't mean this company sucks. Sometimes customers fall through the cracks. Whatever. It happens. But they should do their best to fix the situation when they find out about it. All they gave me was a 50% discount for the second weekend. Never mind that they advertise a 100% money back guarantee. No offers of switching to a new pet sitter. No heartfelt apologies. Just a tired old lady on the phone dismissing me and trying to get rid of me. I see good reviews on here about pet sitters leaving little report cards, or doing more than just care for their animals basic needs. Like spending time with them and loving on them. That's what I wanted and what I was expecting. Just that little bit of extra care and attention that leaves my babies feeling at home and me feeling at ease. I'm pretty sure all my pet sitter did was care for their very basic needs which, yeah, is great, but that's not what I'm paying you for and that's not what you advertise. read more

Awesome and reliable service. The perfect service for those traveling or taking a vacation. I have both a cat and dog and always have the same lady watch them while I am gone. She will come and walk the dog and feed and love them up. Other times, I have taken my dog and she has taken great care of my cat who prefers to not travel. I am always super nervous leaving my very skittish and spoiled cat by herself, and having had a bad experience with another company I did a lot of research. I settled on DFW pet sitting and I'm so happy I did! Jackie was GREAT and my baby Alice was all over her, which meant I could relax while I was gone knowing she was in good hands. Usually anytime a guest is over Alice will hide in my closet until they leave and she is absolutely sure they're gone. Somehow Jackie was able to win her affection and I couldn't be happier! Jackie sent me texts and pictures every time she went by which I very much appreciated. She also came super early which was very convenient since Alice is used to having breakfast early. My fiance and I recently used their pet sitting services for our anxious kitty, Maya. I didn't want to board my cat at an animal hospital/kennel, so having someone come to our home and check on her and feed her in the comfort of our home was our next best bet. We were assigned Mary as our pet sitter, who has been by far very thorough and will send me text updates/pictures of my furbaby. Mary is responsive and is always asking if there is anything else she can do for me while she is in our home during the pet visit. In regard to the holiday weekend, I fail to see how that excuses you from rendering service properly (in fact there is a premium charge for holiday service). Awful experience with this company! We were assigned 1 sitter and she was very sweet. We had her for about 6 weeks. We then were assigned another sitter bc our first girl left. We met the 2nd sitter and he was fine. HOWEVER, he didn't have our house key (he told us he was pretty sure he did). We were going out of town for a week and I asked the new sitter to text me when he was at the house so I had peace of mind. Long story short...he couldn't get in bc he didn't have our key and didn't tell his boss what happened! I was furious to say the least. Once he finally was able to get into our house, he decided to clean our house...something we didn't ask him to do!!!! That's an invasion of privacy bc he had to open doors and cabinets to find the cleaning supplies. At that point, my fiancé and I decided that we had enough and emailed the owner to cancel with them...the icing on the cake was that they somehow "lost" our house key!!! It's been like 2 years ago, and we still don't have our key back...that's scary!!! read more

My sitter, Michelle, has been absolutely wonderful - she sends me photos and videos for each visit so I can see my furry babies when I'm not there. The company takes great pride in ensuring they match you with a great sitter, and someone close by at that. As well you are very likely to be interacting with the owner, who is not only a local but an animal lover too. Olga, the owner, is incredibly professional and polite, quick to respond to emails, and has never disappointed me.
