We initially thought our dryer was the problem and replaced it. After our second dryer was having the same issue we looked into having our vent cleaned. Lint Bandits did a great job removing years of lint from our vent. It was damp inside the vent and they even came back to flush things out once the vent had dried. Placing my hand under the exterior dryer vent, I thought the air was moving well. Did note the little bits of lint on the ground. The problem was that our clothes were taking multiple cycles to dry. Was it the dryer? Was it too much lint in the dryer vent? It was a whole lot cheaper to have the dryer vent cleaned so I made an appointment. The team of two guys wasted no time and had the vent cleaned out in very little time. They showed me all the lint that came out. Holey moley! Laundry now dries quicker. I soooooooooo, want give these guys a 5 Star rating because they are awesome. On time, respectful, professional, efficient, successfully completed the job - you name it, they did it......except for a complete clean up, inside and out. The lint they pulled and a little debris was left in my driveway. I had to ask for them to sweep up the lint in my hallway, they obliged but didn't finish the sweeping in the laundry-room. Again, aside from the cleaning, the team was fantastic. Even fixed the piping issue from my dryer to the wall. So this isn't a complaint just a wish for the next time I call them out. Doug's staff came earlier than scheduled, and both went right to work. It was a two-men job since my dryer vent goes out and up to the roof. It took about 30 minutes for them to clean and brush the vents. The reason I called for the cleaning was due to the clunking sound from the dryer. After the cleaning, no more clunking sound. Called Lint Bandits to do a maintenance vent cleaning - I had no issues with the dryer but the vents need to be cleaned - which I do every year or so. I was at work when they performed the service - I was quite dismayed when I came home and found they had left a rather large mess. I have rugs in front of the dryer and they were a mess! Piles of lint, foot prints, they completely filled my garbage can with the old materials - I felt inside the lint trap and it still had lint in it - it didn't appear to be clean at all. It took about 30 minutes to clean the mess - which isn't much but after you've worked all day, it's not very pleasant to come home to such a mess. I was further dismayed when my dyer didn't work. The day after the service we did laundry only to have the dyer not work - it no longer heated. When I called them, I was told it was just a coincident - they didn't do anything to make it stop working! Fairly big coincidence that it worked fine on Sunday, had the service done Monday and Tuesday it no longer worked. What is most upsetting is the lack of responsibility - No credit for the money I paid them (which I shouldn't have paid them until I tested the dyer), no apologize - nothing! We have used Lint Dandits once and it was a great experience. Doug, the owner, was super responsive to my on-line request and in follow up phone calls. We have a stack-able washer/dryer unit that had not been cleaned out in 6+ years. To make it even more challenging we live in a townhouse that makes getting to the dryer and dryer vent system a challenge. Doug's team used 20 feet of extension tools to clean out our long vent system. They also utilized a dual action vacuum to clean out and then clear out our dryer vent system. FYI -- our dryer is effectively using the sensor setting again and clothes are once again being completely dry with 30 minutes. read more

My vent go up to the roof, and because of an second story addition the dryer vent has 3 right angles in it. They came, they saw, the stole my lint. Clearly the dryer vent had never been cleaned since the house was built in 2006. We moved in about 2 months ago and bought a new dryer with fancy sensors that kept saying the vent was not clear so we finally called around to get a company out especially once we discovered it was vented to the roof and therefore we could not do even a general minor clean out if we wanted to (2 story house, tall roof line). While Lint Bandits is not the least expensive of the companies we chatted with, they were the most professional and pro active with our concerns about the dryer vent and HVAC duct work (we did not have the duct work done at this time, but may later). Doug talked me through the process and made me feel good about using his company. They arrived, got right to work, showed me the VERY clogged up cap before cleaning it up and brush vacuumed the line. The dryer works far more efficiently now! It was very quick, clean, and easy. I recently had DGC team perform a few services in my house. They installed wire-mesh around the solar panel since I had a pigeon problem. They also cleaned the gutters, AC/Heater vents and Dryer vent. First off, the scheduling was very quick. I worked with Dennis and he got the required information from me over the phone and provided a quote shortly. I have Tesla Solar panels and I was not sure if pigeons could nest under it but when the DGC team came over, they found a nest and 3 stubborn pigeons not wanting to leave. They somehow coerced the pigeons, put wire meshing around the panels, and cleaned the gutters while they were on the roof. They did a good job of cleaning the air vents and dry vents ensuring that they cleaned up any of the paint chips that fell when the ducts were opened. One thing to note is that DGC had initially recommended putting spikes on the roof but advised against it after assessing the situation. While I am sure the pigeons cannot nest below the Solar panels anymore, I still see them on the roof. The good news is that DGC has agreed to install the spikes if the pigeons continue to stay. Disclaimer- I didn't actually use their services, but they still get 5 stars and if I do need services, I would call them. Here's why: After doing a search on yelp for dryer vent cleaning (had no idea who to call), I contacted them to schedule a cleaning (it was taking 80 minutes to dry clothes). Doug answered the phone, very friendly, explained clearly the process of what they would do, and I was able to book an appointment for the same day! He even gave me a Yelp discount! When I asked if I needed my landlord's permission (we just recently moved in), he said this was something usually done by landlords, not the tenants. He suggested I ask my landlord to cover the cost. So I booked the appointment and called to ask the property manager if they would cover the cost. They ended up telling me they would use their own worker to clean the vent. I called Doug back to cancel the appointment. He was very understanding and even gave me some helpful tips to make sure the worker cleaned my vents properly! I wish I could have used Doug's company since he would've been able to send his team out the same day, but he saved me some money, since the owner is now doing it. I just have to wait a week or two until their worker is available...... Anyway, friendly guy, honest (didn't have to save me money or give me advice), and didn't give me any attitude when I called back to cancel. If I do need dryer vent cleaning services in the future, I know who to call. read more

We moved to a new house and of course our new dryer wouldn't work! So, being new to the house, we weren't sure what was the problem - dryer, hose, vent, or the exit point of the vent. I reached out to Doug of lint bandits on Monday and we scheduled an appointment with him for Saturday @10am. They never showed up. No call, email, text, absolutely no communication. Just didn't show. I was quoted $240 for the service. But if you don't want my money I'm happy to take my business elsewhere. I scheduled my weekend activities around waiting for them to show. I don't respect a business that doesn't respect my time. Update: I am updating my review to change my star rating from 1 to 3. Doug did reach out to me and took the time to explain there was simply an error in booking by one of his associates. I understand that mistakes happen and he offered to perform the service at a discounted price to make up for it. I already had another company clean my vents for me, so I didn't need his services. He seems like a nice guy and does seem to work hard to maintain a good relationship with clients. While I do understand it was a mistake, it was still one that impacted my time. So I can't review his work, but I will give him credit for trying to fix the error. read more

Lint Bandits is fantastic! We had all of our air ducts cleaned and I already feel like I'm breathing cleaner air!!! We moved into our house a little less than a year ago and it has been on my list of things to have our ducts cleaned... I could see the build up and filth in the vents and knew that our heater/air conditioner was probably not running well. I called three places to get estimates and Lint bandits had the highest price... but they are a local business and Doug was friendly, knowledgable and over the phone gave me an exact estimate, so we went with them. The positive feeling I got from Doug over the phone was followed through by Fred and Gary who cleaned our 15 air ducts, vacuumed our house afterwards and cleaned the dryer vent in 2 hours! They even showed us the filth that came out of our air ducts... (I'd post pictures but it is too embarrassing to see how much grime we were living with). First of all I'm only knocking off one star because when arranging appointment at first they thought I was in Stockton. On the day of the appointment they called me saying they were going to be an hour early than our planned appointment. No big deal. Turns out they were looking for my address in Pleasanton instead of Concord. So after reconfirming my address they wind up actually showing up a half hour late. 2 guys that showed up were pleasant and thorough in theor job.
