DHL imposed a 400% import tax on my goods arriving from the UK. DHL refused to deliver my oil filter until the 400% import tax it's paid. DHL refused to return the goods to sender unless sender pays a second so called fright tax. I have attempted to find out whom the 400% import tax money is going to however no response. DHL has robbed me of my goods. I will never use DHL in the future. DHL does not care if the parcel recipients receive their package. DHL has horrible customer service. The sender tried to speak to DHL about the import tax and no response about where or whom the so called import tax money is going. DHL is a is a disappointment to the parcel delivery industry. A package of glass shipped internationally to me. Driver pulled into my driveway, next to my car, and retrieved the box from the truck. Carried it over to my porch and dropped it. There's a F-ING bench on the porch with a note asking to place the box on the bench. Driver just looked at the note, then dropped the box on the ground. Security cams catch all. They offer no resources to trace or follow up on packages in their possession for multiple weeks. Packages can just vanish, with no reasoning or explanation! Terrible. Their deliver time is very inconvenient, M-F,8-5. a regular person would never be able to sign for the package during this time window, and don't have the option to change to time window, at least i couldn't. So after finding out the shipping window, I played along and changed the address to my work place so i can sign for it during that tiny shipping window they can offer. But they still delivered it to the original address, which is my house that i wasn't at during the window, even though i changed the address the day before. So i called them to make sure they deliver it to the right address next day. They still failed to do that .So i called them again and they said they just got the update of the change of address and is redirecting, and the tracking is unavailable so they don't know when it could be delivered. Latest time being midnight.Terrible. The customer service sounds like they don't know anything and reads off a guideline book. Seems like there is a huge problem with their communication system. If I could give you guys 000 star I would. I was expecting a delivery on a certain day and I waited all day tracking the package. When I received the notification of the delivery I ran to the front door where the was no package. In the confirmation email they said the package was delivered to a PEDRO GARCIA whom I DO NOT know nor lives in my building. Then they are being extremely unhelpful with resolving this issue. This has got to be some kind of joke, especially with the amount of people complaining of this establishment, let alone DHL, let further alone for the exact same reason of false attempts and lies, and apparently DHL nor the management at this office does absolutely nothing for this long? If only where was a negative stars option. As much as i don't want to completely blame DHL as an entire company, it essentially roots down to them. I had a package scheduled for Friday by end of day, and i needed to sign for it so i had no other choice but to cancel plans for a Friday and wait for the package. This was a pretty important package so i really had no choice. Nothing until 7 PM, i look out my window and see a dhl van slowly pass by with no stop, i saw the driver look at my house as he creeped by. i assumed that he would make the round at the end of the street, but as soon as i walk outside to see where the van headed, I get a notification of a delivery attempt and that the "recipient was not home". I have cameras that are able to see the street, so i rewind to see what i saw with my own eyes that he didn't step one foot out of his van. If I had requested a signature release, then what? "Delivered" status and the guy kept it all for himself with nothing to be said. A courier/delivery service is not a clown job, DHL. Stop having yours look like one, and listen to feedback and complaints, and fire whoever the hell is working at this establishment. An investment in your workers will help your company in the long run. And consider delivering weekends, or at least for the people who get screwed over for this kind of crap. read more

I had one of the worst customer service experiences with DHL. First off, they left the "sorry we missed you" note in a flower pot instead of a visible area like the door. Such an inconvenient place. So I followed the directions to call the number, but no one answered. Therefore, I was forced to drive to the center to see if I can pick it up. There, we were met with a know-it-all, passive aggressive woman who basically treated us like everything we said was wrong, saying that it was the weather that put the notice in the pot twice. I guess the wind has good aim. And she proceeded to tell us how we called the wrong number, the number that we were instructed to call on the back. So overall, not happy. read more

I walk into their lobby today to send a package. When I get there I ask the older man behind the counter if he could fill out my DHL forms for me because I had a sprained finger on my writing hand. This man gave me such a bad look and said no he couldn't. I walked out the door and went down to the UPS facility and filled out their forms on their PC. The shipping cost to send my package was going to be around $55, you'd think for that kind of money they could hire a better trained employee. I wonder if I have a ADA claim against DHL? I did not hear the bell or knock but the driver was there waiting with a smile. Glad they went above and beyond to get my needed package to me. Call to get explanation (because we all know that gets shit resolved) updated their database with info on how to gain entry into my gated community. Gate code or Code/# to dial from call box and what street to enter off of.. Day two comes around, family member waiting in garage for package.. Another msg claiming "We attempted to deliver, but nobody was home" WTF? Phone never rang, no yellow truck ever turned into our street.. These guys are a fucking joke. Avoid like a plague. read more

I don't even wanna give these ppl a star! Last week my package was supposed to be here Monday. They failed to bring it because they didn't have room in their truck. This was a signature required package so I have to wait for them at my house. The next day it didn't show up either. I call and they tell me the driver didn't have time. Are u kidding me?!? Driver told us Friday and Wednesday he saw the boxes and don't why why they haven't been delivered. Now Thursday 4 days late I call to make sure it'll be here and they have the nerve to tell me it was never here. Yup! Called me a liar by saying he talked to that driver and the driver never told me there was a package here !!!! Unreal! In fucking reallllll! So pissed I don't think I have ever been so mad in my life. This delivery is for my business. I have orders waiting for these items who I am sure would like to receive them before Christmas! I was supposed to receive a package today before 5pm. I paid an excessive amount for shipping and handling. Case in point. The piece DHL was supposed to deliver was a mechanical piece necessary to complete a project I've been working on for two years and am supposed to present to my board on Sunday. DHL never showed up. I called the call center and was told it would be delivered Monday. Needless to say, I will be reprimanded and written up for failure to complete my job, costing me money. I am disgusted with this service. People's lively hoods depend on your job. The woman at the call service even refused to refund my money. Money I paid for today's delivery. This is a shame. If you can at all avoid it, I'd ask you to be weary of this terrible service. DHL Express is the worst company in providing delivery services. I recently purchased an item from a homeopathic website. It was a great product and "seemed" like a great price. There were shipping and handling fees associated with the product's website. After taxes and shipping, the item was supposed to cost me $28. Well, that was very untrue. By the time DHL delivered me the product, they charged me an additional $18. That means the total I had spent on a product that was valued at $20, I ended paying $46 total!!! What a rip-off!! I paid extra to get my $11 package on time for a graduation. I paid a lot. DHL tried to deliver during typical work hours, between 11 and 12: 30. Of course there was no one here to sign for the package. I was asked to call which I did. I was informed that they don't deliver on weekends, when most people are home, or on holidays. On the slip left at the door there is a place to sign authorizing DHL to leave the parcel on the porch. I was willing to risk it, but was told that since the sender specified that the package had to be signed for they would not do that. I was also told that they would not give me a window of time for the delivery, making it necessary for me to miss a whole day of work. There was no way I could get my package in time for it to be of any use to me. As the receiver of the package I hit one roadblock after another. On a scale of one to ten, ten being best, I would give DHL Express a minus 10. read more
