Delicious Indian restaurant - great happy hour and brunch spot! The happy hour from 4pm-7pm Monday-Fri is an amazing deal. I ordered 2 dishes and a cocktail for under $20! I requested for the Paneer Tikka Flatbread (not on the menu)- vegetarian version of the Chicken Paneer Tikka Flatbread. The naan pizza was delicious, it was stuffed with cubes of paneer with a side of Tikki Masala dipping sauce. Highly recommend it! You can get the Paneer Pizza next door too! The Paneer Tacos were filling and fun to try, but large chunky blocks of paneer. While I enjoyed the spicy mayo sauce, I wish the paneer was cut up into cubes. It just felt a bit heavy with the paneer. The Spinach Artichoke Fritters (4) were tasty. The Mango Mojito and the Mumbai Mule cocktail weren't that good, but it honestly it's hard to complain when it's only $6/drink. The unlimited weekend brunch at $38 is a great deal and well worth it! You can choose from over a dozen Indian fusion dishe - as a bonus mango lassi, chai, and soft drinks are included! You can order 2 dishes/person at a time and the servers hastily swing by to clear your plates and place your next order! Between the 3 of us, we ordered almost conquered the full brunch menu and had a delightful brunch feast! The food had a spicy kick, but not overpowering and wasn't greasy. The portions range from small, bite-size apps to full, large entree size. There's a lot of vegetarian dishes on the menu with a few non-veg as well. There's a good balance between traditional Indian dishes and Western fusion with a hint of American flavors/presentation. My favorite stand-outs: - Aam Chat Papri with crispy Papri pita like chips with mango, chick peas, and potatoes smothered in yogurt and chutney, and topped with spicy garam masala mix - Chana Bhatura with chick pea curry and fluffy, bubbly fried bread. Large portion. - Spinach and Artichoke Fritters - Crispy bite-size balls filled with creamy spinach artichoke dip, 4 come in an order and perfect for sharing! - Aloo Bravas - Crispy, diced potatoes very reminiscent of the Spanish Patatas Bravas with aioli sauce and mild masala spicy kick - Butter Chicken - My friend enjoyed it, solid full entree size. I didn't order or try it in, but it looked pretty tasty and could easily why she made a happy empty plate! - Nutella Bread Pakora - Tastes like a bites-size Nutella fried donut! So good we ordered another one! - Helluva Hallawa Trio - I enjoyed sampling the 3 types of Hallawa, ranging in savory (carrot) to more sweet and milky (my favorite). - Mango Lassi - The sweetness of the mango lassi helped to balance out and absorb the spiciness of the food. - Masala Chai - Great ending to a meal, perfectG caffeine pick me up! Paired well with the Nutella bread Pakora. The other dishes on the menu were fun to try, but would probably skip and save room for my faves: - Aloo Sabzi and Katchuri - The dense hollow shell katchuri (similar to a round empanada) made of dhal lentil smothered in Aloo potato curry sabzi was very filling and dense. After a couple of bites, I threw in the towel. - Egg Burgi and Paratha - The masala spicy scrambled egg on paratha flatbread was kind of bland and a very small portion. - Mango Mimosa - While the mimosas were only $4, it was quite tangy and didn't pair well with the meal. I wish fresh mango juice was used instead of mango flavored juice (tastes like Izzy). The lunch buffet (Mon - Fri 12pm - 2:30pm for $23 wasn't the best experience. Admittedly, I came to the buffet at 1:30pm and the food was tepid and sadly overcooked under the heat lamp. The plates were very small and it was hard to fit a bunch of food. I went to the buffet at least 3 or 4 times to try out the dishes in search of the perfect bite, which I sadly couldn't. There were 5 main standard dishes with 3 vegetarian dishes (Dal Makhani, Aloo Ghobi, and Mehti Paneer) and 2 non-veg featuring both chicken dishes (Butter Chicken and Chicken Curry) and a galore of fried fritters/pakoras (spinach, onion, potato) with a couple of new rotating stations with Pani Puri (not much going on) and Spinach Tikki and Fish Pakora fried fritters. The Mehti Paneer was quite greasy with a coat of grease at the top and the paneer was pretty stiff. It wasn't tender. The Dal Makhani was bland. The potato aloo potatoes were brittle as they were sitting under the heat lamp too long. The best part about the meal was the fluffy naan, which was made-to-order. I enjoyed 2 rounds! Order the Masala Dosa crispy! When we got it the 1st time on the lunch special, it was a bit rubbery and soggy. After the server asked us a few times whether we liked it, my hubby relented and told him the honest answer. The server got the dosa re-made to go extra crispy, which did the trick! The masala potatoes paired well with the dosa. I wasn't a fan of the Sambar. Inside Tyson's mall. Introduced my dad to some new Indian dishes! The service was excellent! We were the only ones there and we stayed for a couple hours peacefully. I love that their naan is thin vs the typical thick kind at restaurants and stores. The lunch special had great choices on it including biryani and butter chicken! Thanks for that! We were six of us ftiends on a Saturday evening. We were seated quickly and Aman did an outstanding job of providing us with a nice relaxing, unhurried but attentive when needed service! We ordered some drinks including Kingfisher and Taj beers - a bit of nostalgia! The appetizers chicken 65, dry paneer kabobs were all good. We tried their weekend lunch buffet. Usually buffets have 1-2 dishes good and rest are either cold or tasteless. This wasn't the case with Dhoom. Everything was fresh and refilled on a regular basis. For a restaurant in a mall, it wasn't bad at all. Everything we ordered from the menu was well flavored. We got the garlic naan, butter chicken, samosas, and the chicken tikka flatbread. Most of everything was shareable, and I honestly think the amount that we ordered was perfect. You could easily get away with just buying and eating shareables and then maybe one main to top it off. The main was plentiful, and with a garlic naan and some rice it was definitely filling. Service was great, and seating was plentiful. We did go during a time when it was quieter, but I did see it starting to fill up a little when we left. Even though this restaurant has decent food, it's crazy expensive when compared to better restaurants like Mumbai Central, Bansari, Bombay Tandoor. The Butter Chicken here is $35 (crazy), and it's not the best my husband has had. It's located in the Tyson's mall, so an easy choice for shoppers. The ambiance is nice. Servers are attentive. We ordered the following: - Papri Chaat: this is very mediocre. If the Papri Chaat is made with tortillas and not the actual Indian Papri, it's not authentic. - Chilli Cheese Toast: this was ok. Came here for a birthday dinner with my family and definitely expected it to be a lot better. I really wanted to love this place as I appreciate the theme of the restaurant. The aesthetics of the restaurant were nice, but it kind of stopped there. They had some fun Indian inspired cocktails that i was excited to try. I ordered the Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Rum, and the brought it to be with rotten mint, not only as the garnish but even within the drink there were black rotten mint leaves. I let our server know and he said he could bring me the same cocktail without mint leaves. I agreed and was given a new drink. However the second drink had no alcohol in it. I was drinking it for a little bit and asked my husband, and FIL to try it. They both agreed there was no alcohol in my drink. I told our server about it and he told us there was definitely alcohol in our drink. He was trying to gaslight us. How would i even go about proving this? Obviously, I am not going to ask him to taste my drink. He went back and put some rum in my drink but I was pretty displeased by this whole debacle. As the menu displays, 1 of each item to select. First course was the spicy crunch salad. This was average. Should have tried another option. Second course selections were great. Gol Guppa and Lamb Sheekh Kabab which was soft and awesome. Main course we both had the goat meat (they were nice to make mine non-spicy). Soft and went well with the rice and Lachha Parantha. Apparently this place has only been open for one year. It's a bit difficult to find on the second floor of the mall. I didn't know what to expect (didn't realize it was inside a mall) so I made a reservation, which was laughable as it was nearly empty on a Thursday evening. I ordered a few different things to try them. The aloo bravos potatoes were good enough. Potatoes really crispy, although the sauces drizzled lacked depth of flavor. The malai chicken tikka was so-so, chicken moist but pretty bland served with a forgettable mint sauce. The paneer pinwheels were super strange. Not very appetizing looking (I should have taken a photo of them out of the sauce), and I asked for white girl mild, and it was definitely not. Someone who enjoys spicy food might think it was mild, but my nose was running and it was very unpleasant. The sauce was super one note and lacked the layering of seasonings that Indian cuisine is typically known for. Service was quite lackluster. The server was not interested in giving recommendations and suggested the butter chicken. When I responded that you can get butter chicken anywhere and it seemed like there were some more interesting dishes on the menu, he just shrugged. I then asked about the Paneer pinwheels, mentioning that I love paneer, and he replied "if you like cottage cheese you should like that" ... which I assume he was referring to the paneer itself as if describing it for me? Came to Dhoom to catch up with friends and indulge in their weekend brunch! I really enjoyed the variety of North Indian delicacies with a slight twist! My personal favorites were the Chicken Tikka Wings, Butter Chicken, and variety of puris. While Channa Masala is one of my favorite dishes, I did not like how strong of a cinnamon taste this dish had. One of my favorite aspects of the brunch was the additional unlimited drinks ranging from Mango Lassi and, the star of the show, their Masala and Kashmiri Chais! My friends and I hung out a bit after brunch for drinks and snacks. Love the creative Bollywood names! I had a Chak De India and Crazy Kiya Rye - both decent, but a bit too pricey in my opinion. The gol gappas were not my favorite - a bit too small and not very flavorful. Additionally, their Indian Style Tacos had no spice and left me feeling a bit sick from all of the sauces in combination. Having ate here on two separate occasions, once for brunch and once for dinner, I will say I think their best deal is their brunch menu. Dhoom came to my attention when our CM, Kimi, had an elite event there. Looking back, I was glad I attended as it gave me a chance to sample their food. I liked what they had to offer and my husband agreed to going there to have a dinner. We were here on a Saturday afternoon for an early dinner. At the time, there was only one other occupied table. The staff here is attentive, efficient and friendly without being overbearing. Before coming here, we looked at their small plates menu which was a good thing as it helped us decide what we wanted to try. Here is what we ordered: "Lamb chops" which was my husband's choice. This consists of: "Juicy, flavorful lamb chops served bone-in. marinated and grilled to perfection". It also came with a sauce that had some kick to it. Next, we ordered "Bhindi Crisps"---this is a unique dish. It consists of: "Okra, cut into thin strips, fried crisp, drizzled with our signature tamarind aioli sauce". Also, we got "Chicken Tikka Tacos" per the menu "Juicy tandoori chicken and tangy slaw served in a flour tortilla" each plate has 3 small tacos. And, last but not least, "Tandoori wings" described this way---"Tandoor roasted chicken wings tossed in spicy garlic sauce, served with creamy mint sauce. To drink, we ordered a bottle of sparkling water which "Saratoga" brand. We also ordered a serving of butter naan. What I really like about Dhoom is that, to me, the spice level is just right. One can taste the spiciness while also tasting the other ingredients. In other words, the spice doesn't take over any of the dishes. We both really liked the Bhindi Crisps as we never had crunchy okra before. The tamarind aioli sauce was a great pairing. My husband liked this dish so much that I had to remind him to let me try some. He liked the lamb chops but thought they were on the dry side and wished they were cooked less. The Chicken Tikka tacos are well prepared. The sauce was generously portioned out and the tacos had a good amount of filling. The tandoori wings were small sized and did pack a bit of a punch but yet again, the spice level was just right. We tasted the "creamy mint sauce" but didn't dip the wings in it. Our only complaint (if you can call it that) was that the naan wasn't served warm and was on the bland side. The restaurant is well lighted and nicely decorated. If I had to summarize the experience at this Restaurant. It's like that friend who's always late to the party - you're not sure if they're worth the wait, but you stick around anyway. It had a distink vibes that make it feel unique and I really loved the open visibility into the kitchen. Bonus points go to the playlist because EVERY SONG THEY PLAYED WAS A BANGER. Everything just felt ok and didn't hit the way I wanted it to. The chicken taco had a lot of potential but had a weird after taste, The Saag was not bad but for the price it wasn't worth it. New Restaurant in the Tysons mall. On Google, you aren't able to reserve a table but we didn't have any issues with getting a table. It was a little warm in the restaurant but we were sat towards the back closer to the kitchen. The menu is on a QR code at the table and there is silverware and napkins in a basket on the table as well. They bring you water and plates and assist with switching out plates throughout your meal. You don't have just one server but a couple individuals who come to check up on you. We ordered a couple cocktails - the Khabi Khushi Kabhie Rum which was an interesting take on a mojito. I didn't particularly enjoy the cumin and ginger spice that came through pretty strong. I did like the other two cocktails - the Chak De! India (a spicy margarita) and the Dum Maro Rum (similar to a Rum and coke). I definitely recommend those if you like cocktails. For our dinner, we ordered a couple of the tapas and shareable to share between the four of us. There seemed to be some confusion on whether they were out of the Goat curry so we didn't order it initially. Another server came by and said that they did have it and ended up putting in an order for us. We ordered the Tandoori Wings, Lamp Chops, Lamb Seekh Kabob, Spinach and Artichoke Fritters, Garlic Naan, Butter chicken, Lamb Rogan Josh, and Goat curry. The first set of garlic Naan that had come out was just a little tough and not as garlicky as I would have preferred. The second one we ordered was much butter in terms of the flavor and texture. The Artichoke fritters were alright but there was something about the sauce that seemed a little overpowering. I loved the flavor of the Tandoori Wings, they coat it in the sauce and cook with the sauce so you're unable to get extra sauce if you would like. It's got a nice kick to it and tasted well with the mint sauce it came with. The Lamb Chops were good but not my favorite but I did enjoy it better than the kabobs that when paired with the mint sauce, it was just a little too salty for my taste. I loved the butter chicken but it does have a heavier buttery taste for those who may not be used to it. I also liked the Goat curry. We ordered mild spice for the Lamb Rogan Josh but it just seemed to br lacking a little in flavor. Overall, the food was really good and it's somewhere I would like to revisit to try some of their other items. We did have some slow service towards the end. It seemed like a vip party had come in towards the end of our evening and the majority of the workers were focused on them. They have a qr code on the receipts for payment but it ended up not working and took approximately 10 minutes for us to get it all paid for. What a lovely place in Tysons Corner! The restaurant is located in the mall and there is free parking outside in the attached garage. It's tucked away but definitely worth the search. We ordered the Paneer pinwheels that comes as a shareable meal for 2 people. They refilled the rice for free and there was plenty. It was incredibly flavorful and the service was so friendly and kind while giving you space to enjoy your meal. Price was reasonable for 2 people. For $38 there's an all you can eat (90) mins, tapas style brunch. I love tapas as you get to try items you may not normally order as an entree. We tried just about everything. The tandoori wings, spinach croquettes and Nutella fried dessert. Mango lassis were included in the unlimited soft drink selection of the brunch. I was a little bummed that they were extremely runny and warm. I was expecting that cold, thick mango lassi. The lemonade is also very warm. They have vegetarian food and you can request the f you want to adjust the taste if you don't want it salty or not too spicy. Everything is good from the appetizer until the main course. Very cool brunch spot. We really enjoyed almost all of the food. The cocktail my friend had wasn't great. I was whiskey based and pink. We even had them remake it and it wasn't good. So don't go for the cocktails but go for the food! Our server was nice. The place is a little dark but not bad. Would go again. read more

Me and my friends went for dinner and ordered the chaat appetizer and the patatas bravas for the table which were great. I had a large chicken biryani + raita which I split and asked for a side of lemon with onions ( which they brought spiced!). Overall, I'd say the appetizers were great, but who doesn't love chaat and potatoes. The entrées were iffy for me, I'm a huge biryani fan so I've had some really great options. I'd probably rate it a 7.5 out of 10, I didn't feel like there was enough chicken in it and the portion was a little smaller than I expected, but the dish seasoned well and I'm sure I could've ordered it even spicier if I wanted. I went with a large group and recently had an awesome brunch experience at Dhoom! The small plates menu was a great way to share amongst our large group. Highlights for me were the chicken tikka tacos - which were a fun, creative twist that still kept the real Indian flavors. The butter chicken was delicious- not overly creamy. The chicken 65 + fried rice was my absolute favorite - it was obviously cooked with authentic whole spices that you could see and taste! For dessert, they have great options - like those who enjoy Indian sweets, the halwa trio. They also have something for those who prefer more American-style flavors, like the Nutella pakora. Dhoom balances authentic flavors and creative fusion dishes extremely well. The ambiance felt elevated, lively, but still comfortable for families. Large and yet somehow dingy restaurant with black walls and cheap metal chairs that scrape the floor welcome you to this Indian restaurant at Tysons Mall. I visited here with a friend and it was clear they had recently opened. Menu is sparse but I tried the chicken Tikka. Instead of delicious plump chunks of chicken breast that had marinaded in tikka sauce, I was served a plate of chopped up chicken thighs and had never seen tikka sauce marinade, but had some flakes of a tasteless green herb of some kind. The dish had zero flavour. The staff are friendly and their drinks are decent but there are many many many better options. Bummer. Dhoom is a very nice Indian tapas style restaurant located inside Tyson's corner mall above California kitchen floor. I have been to this place like twice in one week couple of weeks ago with my friends. Ambiance was very nice both during the day and the night time. Not only our servers were nice but I believe owners were there too and they keep on checking with us just like if we are at their house, very kind. Following are the dishes that we tried and the comment we have about them: Aam Papri chaat: hands down the best. The tangy chutneys and crispy papri made it the best dish. Chicken Malai boti: was okay I wouldn't order again Spinach and artichoke fritters: was very good, fresh and tasty. Gol gappas shots: those were great, awesome tangy water, but it would be great if we get atleast 7-8 gappas since 4 gappas doesn't justify the price tag. Chicken tikka flatbread: it was hot, fresh and really flavorful. Machi and chips: hands down the best. Quantity was great and tasted amazing. The masala used in it was phenomenal. I would just eat those like everyday. Pataka shrimps: another hands down the best dish. It was perfectly marinated with those sweet and tangy spices. Again it would be nice we were given atleast 6 shrimps instead of 5. Helluva Halwa Trio: another amazing dish, all three of the halwas were amazingly tasty. Highly recommended. Mirchi fries: very good. Butter chicken: it was freshly prepared and tasted good. Overall great experience. I would recommend to eat small plates versus trying on shareables. Some of the feedbacks for the owners: Service: Even though we appreciate the nicest servers but at times they seem quite pushy in clearing up the dishes from the table while we were still working on our food. The steel glasses on the tables: they stinks, probably the smell of the cleansing agent with which the table was cleaned. Please don't place them upside down. But again it was great experiences both the times I was there and is hoping to come back to get their brunch some time in near future. read more
