Had a seal fail on my shower door within warranty period. Said since I lived in Castro Valley it was "Too far away" for Diablo Glass to determine cause and perform corrections. We ordered a custom modern steel door for a customer and the windows available by the manufacture were only gray tinted. We wanted dark tinted and these are also also a double clear so the total window width is about 3/4 of an inch. We had a very bad experience here. My parents moved into the area and used movers who broke a plate of glass that went on the top of their TV console. So the mover said he had "a guy" to replace the glass for us. Turned out to be Diablo Glass. We provided them with the dimensions of the glass, which we measured twice by two different people. I went to pick up the glass and the woman who worked there was very friendly. She gave me the glass and it seemed smooth. When we got back we tried the glass and it didn't fit. I tried so many different ways to make it fit and it didn't fit. I ended up measuring one side of the glass versus the other side. It was 10/16th bigger on one side than the other (or so I measured). My mom called and spoke with someone named Jackie and got the WORST customer service we've experienced in a long time. Jackie was rude, short, condescending, the list goes on. Apparently, according to Jackie, 10/16th is the "margin of error" for their jobs at Diablo Glass. If it's off by 10/16th then that is all fine and dandy even though it doesn't even fit in the piece it was meant for. I mean, I am not SURE it is 10/16th off, it could be more. I am not a professional glass worker, measurer, etc. I tried my best, but what do I know? I'm a registered nurse, I don't work with glass! Jackie never offered us to bring the glass in to remeasure or anything, she was not apologetic. She just said they would not replace it and it's within the margin of error. Ironic how the exact measurement it is off is the margin of error, right? I mean what good is glass that doesn't fit? The mover paid $120 for it, which was nice that he did that, but we legitimately had to throw the console and the glass out because everything was unusable if the glass didn't fit. Jackie said we'd have to pay full price (no discount) for them to recut another piece of glass. I absolutely would not recommend this place!! Don't do it to yourself, go somewhere with integrity and will treat you with respect. read more

I found myself having to replace my glass slider double pain door. I personally contacted 4 separate companies. I was shocked at the cost being quoted by all the competitors of Diablo Glass. My highest quote was $ 1,100 more then what Diablo Glass did my install for. Initially I thought , the cost being quoted by Diablo was a mistake. I quickly found out, it was not, and found them to not only be priced extremely aggressive for the same work as others, but truly a quality company. Be careful when buying from here. You need to be very specific with your request or the gals at the front desk will sell you the wrong items. Our contractor uses them so that's where we went to pick out our shower doors. We showed the gal in the showroom the shower doors we wanted that were in the showroom. However, when they arrived they were not what we ordered. Apparently, we called them "frameless" but they are called something else. It was a real pain because they had to be reordered which delayed the installation. read more

I finally got around to trying to replace the window and found out that I measured it too short. I want to give high ratings to Diablo Glass. They put in my shower sliding door about 10 years ago. They did an excellent job back then. Recently we had a slip and fall that resulted in one of the shower doors dropping into the tub and shattering. (Thank God for tempered glass - a couple scratches, no cuts!) I returned to Diablo Glass to have it replaced. I picked it up last Friday. Richard brought it out to my suburban himself. I asked if the set up was ok for transporting the glass panel and he said it was - that the glass is really tough. He told me to just drive carefully. When my son brought it in and leaned it against the wall, he noticed a small area on one edge that was rough. Plus we noticed the hardware was opposite of the previous door. I called Monday and was advised to bring it back in. I took it in yesterday and Gary and Bob helped me. Gary took it back into the shop and smoothed and buffed the rough area out. He had Bob ( I hope I remembered his name correctly. I am terrible about remembering names), look at it and confirm that the hardware was backwards. They immediately set out to correct the hardware. I was there less than 45 minutes and I was back on my way home. The whole situation was handled so professionally and quickly. Mistakes happen and however it happened, Gary just said "let's fix it!" I recently bought a wine cabinet and wanted to protect the wooden top from drunk adults and condensation off of the white/sparkling wine buckets. I initially looked online for custom glass tops but remembered in college I worked for a furniture store and we often outsourced to glass cutters. A quick Yelp search brought me to Diablo Glass. I called and they were able to provide a price quote of $37 over the phone and said I can come in, and the order and pick up the glass top the next day! Online quotes were around $80 and had a week turn around service! I walked in on a Friday morning, the staff was very friendly and helpful and called me 5 hours later to let me know my glass top was ready for pick up! The guy named Richard did a great job! He is easy going and made perfect cuts for my big size mirror, but the front desk lady was terribly rude! I politely asked her about possibility to talk to a person who is going to do the work, but she cut me off. She demanded my card first and told me that I should pay first.
