I've ordered delivery from diablos 3 times in the past couple of months the first order was great. It had everything I wanted. It had the extra orders of sour cream, and it was delicious. The quesadillas were not soggy on the bottom and they were good. They were good and crispy. The second time I ordered the quesadillas were soggy and I didn't have any of my extras that I ordered. They just totally ignore ignored the comments third order same thing totally ignored the comments and didn't have the extra items that I ordered. The quesadillas were soggy. They were terrible. I've had their nachos from their food truck and today I actually went to the restaurant. It's a walk up and order then be seated type place. Kind of like chipotle but they serve alcohol and it tastes better in my opinion. I really love their nachos. There are so many toppings you can get and you definitely won't leave hungry. The food is Nothing compare to what it use to be, ask for a bowl and the bowl not even near full. less then half. if you ask for guacamole it's $2.55 for a teaspoon scoop. The steak super tough. Our food tasted good, but one of the items was incorrect. When I called to let the employees know, I could hear the other employee in the back complaining that I had called. The employee on the phone became very condescending, so I talked to a prep manager who told me..without getting any information from me that my order was correct. It wasn't. The thought that I would pay for multiple meals and then lie about one in an effort to get another one for free is ridiculous. I wasn't rude or aggressive and I was met with aggression and confrontation. It blows my mind that I could politely ask for what I paid for and be met with snarky, unprofessional workers who fed off of each others negativity to make for a horrible experience. Taste-Yum, Yum-I ordered a bowl (cilantro rice, ground beef, pico di gallo, mixed corn, cheese,lettuce, squeeze of fresh lime juice along with the spicy queso chorizo sauce/dip plus a heaping of sour cream-Yes I said heaping! My order came with one bag of hot, crispy tortilla chips (oh my Gosh so yum, yum) Please request an extra bag of chips if you get a bowl-you will be happy you did when you go to finish off this dish about an hour later..The fountain drinks are not watered down and have a great movie theatre type temperature cold and flavorful crispness for your thirst ( had the coke). Atmosphere-(this is where my 3 kicked into play) the tables were clean but the condiment area with the trough style sauces could use a good hot towel wipe down and plastic shield tops to cover each sauce-Something about that trough style helping just turned me away so I did without the salsa/sauce. The restaurant smelled clean and the music was not to loud. They (workers) can work on keeping the front glass door cleaner. There are a lot of hairy people working around the grills and girls with wispy hair peaking from underneath their caps. The bearded gentlemen could use a shave or cover those beards with some type of invisible net. I am a bit picky when it comes to things like this so this is why I gave a 3 star. This type of stuff is a big deal to me in order for them to gain my customer loyalty. Excellent taste yet the atmosphere could use some work. This place could really become the spot but they must work on that atmosphere. Otherwise, good food similar to Chipotle but much fresher ingredients. I'll always love Diablos' food! Ingredients are great. Execution is majorly flawed. Basically disappointing. The line workers don't care about the appearance of the food nor the quality. Haphazardly grabbing heaps of cheese (a whole fist full) or rice (overwhelming mound) or beans/pico (not draining them at all) and throwing it on the food totally ruining an otherwise amazing taco, bowl, or burrito. Food quality is great and always have been. But when you run out of mild salsa before 7pm on a Tuesday night... I don't think there's really any excuse for that. Also the workers look miserable and insincere. Anytime I go in there and they just stare at me with a blank face while I choose what I want. I like Diablos a lot. I would go here to get my Chipotle fix when I lived in Augusta. Diablos is similar to Chipotle and Moe's where you go in and pick your protein and how you want it (burrito bowl, tacos, etc). I usually go to the Wheeler Rd location, but noticed that the Evans location just opened up and was closer to where I was staying over the weekend. Parking was plenty since it shares a lot with the shopping center. There was outdoor and indoor seating. We sat outside since it was a nice day, but just fair warning, the tables are close to the road so you might breath in fumes. I ordered the chicken burrito bowl with a cilantro rice and black bean base. Then I loaded that bad boy with lots of corn salsa, spicy sour cream, and hot salsa. I was super excited to eat this burrito bowl since it's been a hot minute since I've had Diablos. I was slightly underwhelmed. I'm not sure if it's because they just opened up, but the food did not taste the same as the Wheeler Rd location which is odd. You would think everything should taste similar since it's now a chain. Whenever I order a burrito bowl, there's always enough leftover for lunch the next day. Definitely the most bang for your buck. I wish they would use biodegradable containers for those who are not dining in. It makes me cringe on the inside when they fill the bowl up in the plastic containers and then I see it get tossed in the trash. read more

When we asked speak to the manager and he wasn't wearing his mask we explained that we did not want them breathing on our food. More attitude. I love Diablo's and was SO excited when this location opened! It's so convenient for me however I think I will drive a little out of my way to avoid the employees here. The people who work here need to remember they are working in customer service. Speaking up, using eye contact and a smile will you get you far. This place just disappoints me more and more. I keep trying to give them the benefit of a doubt. It was good when this particular diablos opened but is going down hill fast as time goes on. The service today was terrible, on top of none of the employees knowing how to make the chicken keto bowl. I asked for the keto and had to tell them about 5 times I wanted the keto bowl how it's supposed to be made. Everybody behind the counter just looked around at each other. And what I got was some lettuce, some chicken and a glob of guacamole just thrown into the bowl. I'm very adamant about saying thank you to anyone who serves me and said it to each of the THREE employees and not a single one said "you're welcome", or "have a nice day." The cashier barely muttered out my total to me and the one handing me my bag dangled it at me with no eye contact, when I again, thanked him. However, I became VERY disappointed when I found out that the owners keep all credit card tips. That seems messed up to me. The tips should be split between the team of workers. Updated Review: Who could have imagined that one bad apple did NOT spoil the bunch. After what could have been a pernicious situation, such a grand effort was put forth by not only the staff but by the co-founder of this business to correct what was a poor error in judgement. This is highly commendable for any organization that provides a service to a local community. Now that I have tried the food, I must say it was delicious! It was not heavy like many quick eateries. It was fulfilling and the young lady named Crystal took well care in preparing our food. My children loved the chips and cheese dip as well. The location is nice, Belk store, smoothie place and a cold stone coming soon. The music was awesome and at a great volume. The entire staff including the manager walk around like the walking dead. Blank stares, expressionless faces, mute dummies that may or may not make it through their shift. They set a bag on the counter for me and walked away. I ordered loaded nachos online. Only 3 ingredients in the box. One asked what it was missing. I told him just to remake it. Instead of taking my order he gave me a bag and told me to write down what I wanted(!!!). And walked away again. I drove home and they didn't put queso on it. Drove back over there. Told them I wanted queso and a refund. Again, blank stares. Manager said didn't know if I could get a refund. He got somebody on the phone who walked him through how to open the register and hand me $15. Got home and my hour old nachos were cold, soggy and gross. Through them in the trash. My daughter and I love the food at Diablos. We eat it at least twice a week because of her busy cheer schedule. Normally we visit the one on Wheeler rd but the last few times we visited this one because it's closer to the gym. Every time we have been here the chips have been stale and the customer service has been seriously lacking. No eye contact, no smile nothing. Just blank faces and attitude when you ask for something. I'll continue to take my business to the Diablos on Wheeler rd and stay away from this one. read more
