My previous go-to mechanic tripped me with a quote of $575 for the valve gasket cover replacement (I assumed they meant the entire thing, not the rubber seal). Still, they told me it could not be patched and that I needed to buy a used tire instead. Since I was already there and the work needed to be done, I ended up paying $60 for a used tire. What disappointed me most was that I originally thought I would be able to keep my old tire and take it home, because I believed I could patch it myself and keep it as a spare. In the end, that was not how it worked. Their used tire replacement process meant they kept my original tire and gave me another used tire in exchange. So it did not really feel like I was simply buying a used tire for $60. It felt more like I was trading in my old tire, which did not even have a hole that obvious to me, and still paying $60 on top of that. The service was done quickly, but the overall experience left me feeling less satisfied than before. 15 years ago, a friend recommended Elio. My 1957 Bel Air Chev. needed body work and paint. That car ended up a Grand National winner at Pomona, winning best paint and best original Chevy in my class. It won Huntington Beach Concours and also the Muckenthaler Concours in Fullerton. It was also judged best paint by Mothers product representatives .Elio has restored 15 classic cars for me as well as repaired our daily drivers cars. Diamond Coats is a body shop you need to put in your favorites . It is by far the BEST of the BEST auto repair shop EVER. My husband was a body shop guy for 20 years so I am familiar with the procedures etc. Now alone and being a girl is a bit intimidating. I mean really what do I know about fairness, price, promptness, consideration, honesty and excellent work? I know all of this because ELIO has been my "go to guy" for just about everything auto. Best Body Shop in town!! I was recently involved in an accident and my truck suffered front end damage. I filed my claim and then took my truck to Elio at Diamond Coats. He explained to me the extensive damage my truck had and what was going to be done to repair it. I ended up getting a whole new paint job and a few other upgrades I wanted. When my truck was done and I went to pick it up, I was in SHOCK. It looked so BEAUTIFUL. Elio and his team did an awesome job on my truck. I couldn't be happier! Elio repaired both my damaged crown Victoria and the wiring of yamaha motorcycle in the course of 3 days. The pricing was also the cheapest and friendliest within neighboring shops who tried to scam me an extra couple hundred dollars. My daughter was in an accident in her 2006 Honda Accord and the passenger side door was replaced by another body shop and was done incorrectly and did not close properly. Elio at Diamond Coats had to remove the door and do some frame work. He came in at the price agreed and ended up doing some additional work that I was not expecting him to do. Took in my car due the paint being really bad on the roof of my car. At one spot it was down to bare metal. Eleo the owner fixed it perfectly. He matched the paint spot on. Elio did a wonderful job on my van. He was introduced to me by a neighbor who has been taking his "baby" hot rod to him for years. I was so lucky to meet Elio who is not only a kind and generous man, but does perfection work! Elio and the staff at Diamond Coats did an amazing job on my Cadillac Escalade..it had extensive damage from an accident. Elio was amazing. He was super helpful while helping me work with him and my insurance. He worked on my car right away and gave it to me on the expected date. Rather than just say "I can do that" like 10s of other service shops just to get a job, he looked it up and called me back and gave me a reasonable price. It was a 3 hour job and he had it back to me before then end of the day even though I dropped it off close to 3:00. And it was still the quoted price. It's pretty tight in there, so I didn't want to risk driving my car in- but thankfully, Phi drove it in for me. I got a very reasonable quote right away. Phi speaks English and Vietnamese, while most of the staff mainly speak Vietnamese. I was referred here by someone I know and chose Phi's after comparing a few other quotes. They had the best price, and their turnaround time is impressively fast. Even though they're always busy (for a good reason!) they finished my car in 3 days as promised. My headlight had heavy UV damage from years of neglect, plus some deep scratches. They managed to restore it to about 90% of its original condition. Other shops told me they could only get it to around 80% or that I'd need a full replacement. The result here was smooth, clear, and with minimal remaining scratches. My front bumper also had deep scratches, and they matched the paint perfectly- looks brand new. The whole process was easy and straightforward. Phi is responsive to calls and texts, and the team is made up mostly of older, hardworking Vietnamese men who remind me of my dad and grandpa . They're honest, skilled, and confident in their work. I'd definitely recommend this shop to anyone needing auto body repairs. Hopefully I won't need to come back lol. But if I do, this is where I'd go!
