This was one of the most embarrassing and disappointing experiences I've EVER had. The owner is rude, unprofessional and conniving, once he has your money. I rented a party bus for a "girls night out" for 30 of my customers. The bus was too crowded even though the owner assured me there was plenty of room. The bus was not stocked with water like they said, there was one bottle of cheap champagne, the bathroom door kept locking us out, the driver was braking in a way that almost caused some of us injuries, not to mention texting while driving. The driver missed the exit and made us late for our reservations. IT GOT WORSE. While we were at dinner, the driver notified me that the bus would not start. The owner sent a mechanic. Who didn't show up for hours. Luckily I was able to call another company who was able to get us home. The owner of Diamond limos had no way of getting us home. THE CONTRACT MAKES YOU PAY EVEN IF THE VEHICLE BRAKES DOWN AND YOU ARE LEFT STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF A COLD ROAD IN DOWNTOWN LA, WAITING ON A MECHANIC. Because I signed the contract, my credit card company would not void the transaction and I ended up paying the full amount. I had a first hand witness that saw the bus finally fixed and able to drive away at approx. 2am. The owner lied to the credit card company and told them the bus was fixed 15 minutes after we left. The driver was kind throughout the nightmare, but that hardly makes up for the rest of the experience. The lack of integrity in this man was appalling. Worst limo service anyone in my party had ever experienced. Made one guest feel horrible when she asked if we could stop any place to use a restroom. Telling her "We are close why can't you just hold it, it's not easy driving this car". We rented the limo for 8 hours and Gary made us feel like we were inconveniencing him. I highly recommend Diamond Limousines for not only having a great selection of vehicles but for fantastic customer service. We wanted to go to an Angels game in style and our chauffeur Nikki was awesome. She was friendly and got us to the game right on time. Unfortunately it rained just before the game ended but within two minutes after texting her we were back in a warm limousine. We were all wet and cold but once we turned on the heater we were warm and toasty. Used this company for limo service for my wedding. Attempted to use them for a party bus for the wedding after party. I'll start with the good; the limo service for the wedding itself was great. The driver was about 10 minutes early and called to let me know he was there. We left about 30 minutes late, due to us, but he still got us to the venue site on time and safely. Extremely courteous and respectful driver; no complaints whatsoever about the limo driver. Now for the bad, and the reason for the 1 star. I had done all the reserving and negotiating price over the phone. I prepaid the limo and we agreed the party bus would be paid for in cash upon arrival. It was stressed to me on three separate occasions that the drivers tip was not included and we would be on a "cash tip" plan for him. I had no issues with that. Come time for the party bus to arrive, the driver calls me to let me know he is on his way. I ask to confirm the price with him and he tells me the cost I was expecting and also says there is a $270 mandatory tip included. I question him about this and he changes his story to now say the $270 is a service charge. (The agreed upon price for the party bus was $969 which would make it a 30% tip or service charge). This mandatory tip was never mentioned in any of my communications with the company. When I talked to them the final time, 2 days before I was planning on using them, I asked for the exact cost that I was expected to pay for the limo bus on the day of and was told $800 plus cash tip for the driver (I had already put a $169 deposit). When the driver dropped this surprise on me I told him that was never mentioned. I offered to pay for the bus right away and tip him at the end of the night. He told me he needed to collect everything before he could even let anyone on. I told him not to show up since we were not going to pay the surprise charge. I had been told prior that my deposit was nonrefundable and I was ok with that. About 2 minutes after I got off the phone with the driver, I checked my credit card and sure enough the company charged my card the remaining $800 which I never gave them authorization to do. Now I have attempted to spend time attempting to recoup this money. I to file a complaint with the BBB but of course, the BBB does not have any record of them. BL: They are cheaper then any of their competitors in the area. The driver for the limo we actually used was outstanding. They have some shady business practices, or at best, some shady drivers who are trying to pocket some extra money. read more

I would have left zero stars if I could. Worst, most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. I used this company for my wedding. We got a party bus from 8:30-12:30, instructions were sent to owner of how to get to the venue and reach the cordinator upon arrival, the instructions were never relayed to the driver so my cordinater contacted driver that morning spoke with him in length, then they switched drivers and gave no instruction to them, they arrived on time in the wrong location, contacted the bride and groom one time and tried no one else. The venue coordinator finally went looking for the bus and found him at 10, because they were not in the proper parking spot we lost 2.5 hours with them, they were not apologetic, the were rude, and offered nothing but excuses in return for there mistakes. Biggest waste of money. Don't waste your time. I am disgusted with the customer service of this company, my wedding guest were stuck taking cabs even though they were told they had a ride home, and I spent a good amount of money on a driver who just sat on his ass for 2 hours and put little to zero effort into his job. Horrible experience! The owner was very rude. The limo driver had us walking the streets of LA trying to reach him after a Rose Bowl event. He was apparently trying to "reach us" for an hour and half (very convenient since we were being charged for every hour after the agreed time). The limo driver wouldn't pick up our calls so we had to call the owner of the company, which didn't make a difference either way. Anywho, long story short, next day I was being charged for 2 extra hours on my credit card, I called and spoke with the owner who has the WORST customer service ever. Made every possible excuse and argued with me without ever apologizing for having his limo driver (25 years of experience) trying to reach us for over an hour and half. Worst experience ever! Speaking with the limo company beforehand they were very professional, very helpful, and very flexible. I was impressed with the prices and the amenities the limo service was offering. The day of the wedding the limo arrived on time. However, the limo driver...there was fiasco after fiasco with him: he was inappropriate with his comments (explaining to my fiancé and I that our honeymoon destination was an unsafe place and we'd be more safe going to ENSENADA, MX!!! He explained several times about the CRAZY parties he had driven around before), he drove off at one point with our door open (he did profusely apologize though), he took a 20 minute detour to drive us 2 miles, and those are just a few of the highlights. Overall, we were on time, the limo itself was gorgeous, and comfy and once we found out how to roll up the privacy window to separate us from the driver we were on our way to a happy day! read more

The owner of this company will try and sell you on paying for the tip up front on your card over the phone. The driver never receives the tip because the owner uses the tip money to cover the hourly of the driver. Then he will pocket the rest. It's a scam for the owner to make more money off the drivers tip and the hourly is not close to how much the tip is. He'll claim its a gratuity but on your bill it will be changed to a service fee. The limo bus was immaculate and perfectly suited for my group of friends. The driver was fantastic in giving us the perfect amount of privacy mixed with the perfect amount of friendliness not to mention his driving skills navigated us perfectly through southern California traffic and getting us to our destination safely and on time. I was very impressed with Diamond Limos, Inc. I reserved an 8-passenger stretch limo to transport 6 executives (including our company's CEO) from Irvine to LAX airport on 2/4/14. I am the executive support staff, so I was not traveling with the executives, but I received high remarks from my VP's and CEO regarding their experience. The driver was early and called the executives to let them know he was at the hotel and they were all on their way to the airport within 5 minutes. The driver was courteous and professional and all my executives enjoyed their experience. I received a comment from my VP stating, "That's the way to travel, and we'll definitely go that route next time!" This was also the executives first time traveling together as a group and my first time arranging transportation for the company officers. Needless to say, Diamond Limos, Inc. made me look great! I also received excellent customer service from Jeff, Reservations Director. Jeff was attentive to detail and emailed me copies of the receipt and confirmation without me asking for them. We used Diamond Limo for my daughters prom with 30 friends. The reservation process was fine but the party bus did not fit the number of people we had which made an uncomfortable ride. The driver showed up on time but did not know how to get to the venue so he took a screen shot of my phone with directions. He had an old Garmin. The a/c went out on the way up along with the ability to play music (hence not really a party bus). On the way home, the vehicle broke down on the freeway and our kids had to call us. No call from the company. The driver said a couple vans will pick them up and get them home. However, the vans only seated 10 each so kids were sitting on the floor, etc. When I called Jeff on Monday after the prom to share our concerns, he said that if there was a problem we should have called when it happened. (Even though it was after midnight) Jeff from Diamond Limos offered to give very little monetary compensation for the no air, no music and breaking down ONLY if we agreed not to post a bad review. We figured we lost out on money but we are not willing to hide the fact this was a very bad experience and share it with others. Look somewhere else.
