We have been eating at Diamond S for 20+ years. The owners have hired a bunch of snowflakes, they cannot get orders correct, leave the phone off the hook for hours on in so that they do not have to take call in orders amongst other things. Looks the the 70's. Smells like the 70's. The perk use to be free chips and salsa but that's out. Honestly this place is a hit or miss. Sometimes it's decent and others not so much! Good drink selection and also has a drive through. I usually get the nachos (strange looking taco meat, but edible). My husband get the chicken friend chicken and that was actually pretty good. Stopped in , hoping for a local cafe. Looks like an old DQ. No service. Order at the counter. Mixed between burgers & Mexican. Smelled weird, very clean but not a good food smell. Free chips & salsa but it taste like a jar. Ordered the angus burger. Jalapeño bun was okay, had a weird flavor...mustardy or maybe vinegar from pickled jalapeño. Meat had no flavor. Fries were hot but typical frozen food fries, do they even make those out of potatoes. I mean seriously how do you make potatoes taste like nothing. Front counter older lady not very friendly. They have gone downhill since the new owners have taken over. Tonight was the final straw. Waited thirty minutes for beef nachos, I finally went up and ask about my order. Five minutes later they brought out my order. 4 nuggets of beef meat a little cheese and some onions no beans. Sad been a customer for many years but I am finished. read more

Tana is by far one of the rudest waitresses I've ever had. First she slammed the window in my face as I was trying to talk to her at the drive thru. When I told her my name she said, "ya I know, like Jul" with such an attitude. She even checked our entire order to make sure it was correct and she still got it wrong after waiting in line for about 15 min. I ordered chicken fajitas and I got some type of nachos stuff. N.A.S.T.Y. I had black stuff on my ice from the ice machine, not once but 3 times. I finally gave up. The older woman taking our order was rude! The only menus were printed papers stapled together that she impatiently couldn't wait for us to look over. The food was gross. The beef fajita was tough. No flavor to any of the food. And they made us drive around the building 3 times. And they took 45 min just to give us our order which was just nachos. The nachos were disgusting it was literally like sand which cheese on top and melted probably in microwave the nachos were very soggy. And on top of that I got food poisoning! This place is a joke. I went a second time to give them a second try and still the same, food was like if it was reheated in the microwave. The employees were rude as well. Go figure. Would not recommend. I'm all for supporting local businesses but this restaurant however is something else. We had to wait over 45 min "no exaggeration" just for our food. We ordered nachos and they were so gross and soggy I couldn't even finish half of it. Ordered a hamburger with cheese and it tasted and looked like it was heated in a microwave. Every time we are down here to see family, I have to stop here and eat. It has American and Mexican food dining, cause lets face it, Brazoria doesn't offer much of anything. I always get the Mexican side of the menu. The enchiladas are a little too soaked in sauce, but still so good. The chips and salsa are awesome, and my favorite are the nachos and quesadillas. Standard Mexican food, better than the fast food though. read more

The food was good and if your hungry you don't have much choice, no other food for miles. The staff was friendly and the cinnamon rolls are huge. Mostly Mexican food and Hamburgers. When we first moved to Brazoria, the food was good, and the service was good. Now in 2017 it is terrible! They are rude and disrespectful! The early day shift isn't so bad, but the night shift is the real problem! I had to ask for a refund for my son and I because we couldn't even eat our food it was so gross! We have not been back! Stopped here while traveling. 2 angus burgers took well over 20 min. One had fries and one onion rings. This is a order at counter and they bring your food type place. Serve yourself drinks. While the Mexican food and catfish at other tables looked good and certainly came out faster then our food have no clue of taste. The burger tasted ok, I guess, for a semi cold burger with cold onion rings and Luke warm fries. While filling it was uninspired and not worth the wait. The counter lady was nice. read more

Everytime we go through the drive through our order is messed up. Service is slow and employees are rude. They are the only Brazoria restaurant so I guess they dont care. When they mess up your order they say they will fix it on your next visit and then they act like they dont know what your talking about. read more

I have eaten at this restaurant many times, and never felt so out of place the last time I was there. I sat for an hour waiting for my food, and wondered for about 20 minutes if the food sitting on the back table was mine. When I went to ask if it was, the lady said oh yes this is yours. I let them know that I was not happy when I started seeing people after me start leaving before I even got my food. As I drove home, I got more angry about it, so I called and talked to a manager and she stated she heard the conversation between me and the worker about the situation, and promised me two free meals the next time I came in, and I told her that she did not have to do that, but she insisted. Well, tonight I decided to take her up on that offer, and when I got there the other manager could not find my name, and said that she could not do anything about it. I asked her to call the other manager, but she seemed inconvenienced by the whole deal, and stated "but she is at home." At that time, I told her "just forget it, this is why I dont come here anymore." I am so outraged that they cannot keep their stuff together anymore. I spend about 30 dollars every time, and that does not mean anything to them obviously. read more
